Came here with 2 hungry teenagers. Fabulous food & service. Recommend!
My friend and I went out for a delicious brunch. I had Salade Nicoise which was excellent and very filling. My friend had goat cheese tart elected which came with a small salad. She enjoyed it very much. Our server was excellent and allowed us to sit and chat without rushing us. The ambiance is very charming.
Always great for a pre-Broadway dinner. Service is great and never feels rushed.
It was an amazing experience, been here many times and I am never disappointed.
Great place for lunch and brunch in the theater district.
Food was excellent as well as exceptional service in getting us to a broadway show without stress.
As usual, the food and service were terrific. We had the duck special, which was yummy, and the risotto was luscious. The restaurant is a bit noisy, but it's a good pre-theater bet. We eat here often.
Kind of old and dusty atmosphere. Menu variety and service were good.
We had the onglet, which was much better than in previous visits. It was always good, but prepared and presented in a much nicer way this time...smaller portion, sauce on the side, more elegant. Also had the Tarte au Citron, which was amazing!
Always love the food. Service very prompt and professional, but warm.
Just wish that, after at least 50 visits in the last 3 years, there was some recognition when I arrive.
Whenever we have theater tickets we make sure to make a reservation and have dinner at Sanju Bistro. Great food, service, ambiance and a very welcoming staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. Always a delicious meal !
This restaurant was recommended by friends for a meal before a Broadway show. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this to a friend.
This has become our go-to place in the theater district. The food is reliably excellent with service to match at a reasonable price.
Saju has been the place for celebration for me for the last 15 years. The menu is impeccable, the wine list divine. I have chosen Saju for get togethers, meetings, important family celebrations. I have always been treated as a special guest. I simply love this place. the ambiance, the olives, the cozy feel. My favorite place.
Always go to Saju for lunch or dinner. First time we tried brunch and it was excellent.
This is a favorite of ours. It is especially great that they serve a late dinner so we often eat there after seeing an early (7 or 7:30) curtain play. We sometimes think we should try someplace different, but are always glad we stick with Saju Bistro. We are never disappointed. And it is a very easy walk from there to get our train home at Grand Central!
We always dine here when we are in New York. The food is wonderful and everyone goes out of their way to make your dining experience the very best. I can’t tolerate loud music and the maitre’d was so accommodating in turning it down for me. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We dine here frequently and it's always enjoyable!
Always dependable and reliable service and good consistent food and drink.
A perfect place for pre-theater dinner! Great service, delicious food, wonderful ambiance. We’ll be back!
A favorite place of ours. Food, service, ambience are terrific. Great wine selection. A gem.
We booked this restaurant based on its positive reviews and were not disappointed. It was a little tricky to find because of some scaffolding over the building but once inside, we found a charming restaurant with a lovely warm ambiance. Service was excellent and attentive. Our group had escargot, mussels, a pasta dish and one of the nightly features (beef bourguignon). Nice wine list. We were going to the theatre and they got us out I plenty of time and we didn’t feel rushed. This place is a little gem in the theatre district.
Excellent food and service.
Excellent food, excellent presentation, professional service and reasonable prices! Highly recommend!
the food wasn't as good as other times I have been there, but still like it alot
Unfortunately our experience of Saju was very disappointing .Service was slow ( even though restaurant was not busy) ,abrupt ill informed staff and poor quality tasteless food ( one person of our party of 4 said their meal was reasonable)
This restaurant appears to have an identity crisis trying to serve Italian dishes in what is supposed to be a French restaurant
Problems on Saturday were that the air conditioning dripped on me if I sat in one seat at my table, or blew on me, or had to be turned off. The waitress was trying but her English was problematic. When asked if the chocolate bread pudding had raisins, she said no--but it did. My husband ordered it on her "no" and then was sorry he had as he doesn't like raisins. Aside from those problems the food was good and the service fast.
Perfect pre-theater spot. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would definitely go back!
Busy but not Rushed
Nice mix of French and Italian selections. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food, Broadway, and New York. He was professional and friendly, efficient and personable. First question was whether we were going to a play.
We had a very enjoyable, well-prepared dinner with menu items you would probably not cook at home. Desserts and wine were also excellent. Top quality all around.
Pressed for time before a show and we were 15 minutes late for our reservation. They said no problem and they’d get us out in time. Nice table, great service and shared sea bass entree was XCLNT! Can’t wait to go back on next NYC trip!
new chef you can tell won't be back muussles over cooked turkey burger dry onion soup terrible this time french fries not fresh cut
Our go to place when we are in New York City. They never disappoint. Tried something new and it was phenomenal. Best French onion soup anywhere.
Very convenient for pre or post theater dinner. Their food is very good and served in fairly large portions for a hearty dinner. I like their cheeseburger too for lunch. Pretty fast service and a nice ambiance.
I only had soup and salad so it's hard to really critique the food. My friend had a turkey burger and said it was good.
We ate there twice on visit and absolutely everything was fantastic! Best salads and salmon I’ve had in a long time!
This is our go to place before theatre. Never disappoints. We has omelette this weekend but have had dinner on other occasions and enjoyed. Well prices for qualityb
Very noisy. Our table was the last pre-theater to be served and meal was very rushed. Food was great as was our waiter but i don't think we will return quickly.
This was our first dinning. We will definitely go back.
