This is a little gem I am hesitant to even share about. The food is excellent, prices good and atmosphere small and inviting. The exceptional aspect of this restaurant is that the staff really take pride in their work and their interaction with customers. Great dinner and wonderful time.

One of the keys to Upstate's success is its commitment to freshness. So much so that there isn't even a freezer in the building as everything is brought in fresh daily.Obviously, the oysters and clams are what most patrons come for, and Upstate's selection of west and east coast varieties changes every day, depending on what is available. Every time we are in NYC, we always eat here at least once. The food is excellent, of high quality and cooked just right. The deviled egg with cavier appetizer is to die for. Seafood is tge freshest. This last trip , we brought 2 friends and they both raved about their scallops. It’s hard to find a restaurant that is consistently good . Ocean Prime is a rare gem. We have been coming here every year for tge ladt 10-15 years and it has been consistently good.
