Sunnyside Cafe was just about all I could ever ask for in a Breakfast/brunch experience. Simple, yet great menu variety. Something for everyone whether it’s sweet or savory, breakfast or lunch, or even just some snacks for picking. Awesome bloody mary and both the Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes and Pumpkin Waffles were the tastiest breakfast items I’ve been served at a restaurant.

Food is the closest thing to how food tasted when my family cooked. Service was decent. Though, a party upstairs made things initially a bit slower than I expected. appetizers: we ordered arincini (fried risotto balls, flavored with a small amount of meat and peas). These were excellent. crust was perfectly crisp, and inside filled with perfectly cooked risotto. The house salad is good. iceberg and spinach leaves, red onion, black olives, shredded carrots, peproncini, croutons, and dressing. My wife ordered the Sicilian salmon, crisp outside, over roasted potatoes, and topped with feta and red peppers. I had the sausage cavatappi in a cream sauce. This meal was done so perfectly! pasta , sausage, spices all perfect ratios. I was a happy doobie after this meal. I highly recommend this dish.

Seated right away at a table of our choice. Waiter was attentive but not bothersome, very pleasant. Food was fresh and tasty - Cesar wrap and Cuban sandwich. Didn't rush us....will definitely return.

Overall we had a good experience. The kids had a blast playing games. The only issue I had was with the food service. When we walked in we were told the only sever they had on schedule called out sick. While I don’t blame that on the server, I do blame it on the management that would only schedule one server. That’s kind of crazy. After about 15 minutes, someone came to the table to take our drink and food order. She was very nice and apologetic for the slower than usual service. Food was ok. The arcade was good as usual, kids loved it.

Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The relaxing atmosphere inside makes it the perfect place to get to work on a rack of ribs, lobster Rangoon, Thai chili calamari or nachos. As usual, the quality of the food was exceptional. However, the portions were smaller than in the past. I ordered the panko crusted chicken which was only one piece of chicken considered medium size at best. Another person ordered the ‘dinner’ size steak tips which came with only four pieces. Makes you wonder how many pieces come with the lunch’ portion!
