The food was creatively prepared, and served with a casual yet high style of service. My favorites this trip were the maple apple salad and smoked and fried chicken, but everything was delicious.

My fiancé and I do not get the privilege of dining out very much. So when we do we try to do our research on where to go. It was my Fiancés birthday and I got a recommendation that we needed to try this place and I’m so glad we did! Reservation was at 5pm and we were seated quickly. The host acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday because I put it in my notes on the reservation. They had a little card signed by everyone which was already a winner in my heart. They went out of their way to make us feel special and at home. Chef Danny came out to greet us and I noticed he went around to several tables which I thought was amazing. I know things can be hectic in a kitchen so I felt so grateful he was able to come and introduce himself. It gave a very personable touch to the experience. The food. Honestly I can’t even describe accurately how absolutely amazing everything was. No complaints at all. Everything was delicious. I personally had the corn cake and it was like breakfast for dinner. I’m a sweets girl and had to try the dessert menu and I loved the freshness of the cake and berries. It was a delicious dessert everything was just so crisp and fresh. I’m one who really believes in energy going into food. As crazy as that may sound you can taste the passion and love put into these items. There is something amazing about that and you can’t replicate it without understanding it first. I definitely will be recommending this gem of a place to anyone looking for an amazing experience especially for a special occasion.

About the restaurant
Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

Super cute spot and the service was very good. Food was amazing as well as the wine pairing suggestions. Do expect to spend a bit of money to try a bunch of different dishes and share with friends! The sour milk cornbread is a must try but would recommend letting it soak in the butter a bit for more flavor. Cheddar & chive potatoes and the roasted autumn vegetables also paired so well with the pork chop.
