About the restaurant
Reservations for dinner service are now available in our 1st floor dining room, bar area high-top or a bar stool at the bar. The second floor is open for private parties.

The Tavern Steakhouse menu features USDA prime beef, Japanese Wagyu, organic free-range chicken, seasonal fresh fish, cold water lobster tails, and oysters. Our award-winning wine list featuring over 1,200 selections, a great wine by the glass assortment, and a well-stocked bar to round out the Tavern's beverage program. Our current dinner menu and wine list are available on our website.

We don't take reservations for cocktails. High chairs are not available, outside food and beverages are not allowed.

Roka Akor brings an unparalleled combination of thoughtful design and contemporary Robata Japanese cuisine to six locations across the U.S., including Scottsdale, AZ, San Francisco, Houston and three locations in the Chicagoland area. (Downtown Chicago, Old Orchard and Oakbrook, IL).

Roka Akor’s menu changes seasonally, including a rotating selection of prime-cut steaks, seafood, and vegetables with Japanese-inspired marinades and sauces, along with sushi and sashimi. We are also know for being one of the only restaurants in the United States to serve authentic Japanese Wagyu and Kobe Beef.

The restaurant’s design features a centrally located robata grill that provides the heart of the visual experience, surrounded by contemporary décor and sleek lighting. Guests are encouraged to speak with the chefs about the food to create an interactive and engaging dining experience.

Not just another steakhouse, Steak 48 - Chicago is a contemporary steakhouse featuring prime steaks, a raw bar and extensive fresh seafood selection, other unique appetizers and side dishes including a double baked truffle potato, asparagus fries and corn crème brûlée, classic cocktails and an extensive award winning wine list.

In order to support our service staff there is a 20% gratuity on all checks. At Steak 48, we encourage all of our guests to get dressed up for a great experience. In order to maintain an enjoyable environment for all guests, athletic wear, excessively revealing clothing, exposed undergarments will not be permitted. We prefer no printed t-shirts, hats or visors and always appreciate collared shirts or sports coats. Please dress as your elegant selves. You are going to have a great time!

Everything was great. We were seated in the smaller room and for a while were the only ones in there. Near the end of our meal, 2 large parties were seated on both sides of us and the noise level raised significantly.

The Barn Steakhouse is a “meat-centric hideaway” housed in a 19th century brick barn hidden away down an alley in the middle of Evanston. A homage to owner Amy Morton’s legendary father, restaurateur Arnie Morton (Morton’s Steakhouse), the menu boasts the finest quality ingredients available including table-side salad service and prime heritage Angus steaks. As The Barn's menu is ever-evolving, the exact menu may be different when you dine.

Featured in the Chicago Tribune and Evanston Now, The Barn is situated in a 19th century building, which was once a horse stable. Its entrance is accessible through the back alleyway for a unique experience. The intimate spot is accessible only through the alley and features soaring ceilings. This eatery also provides seating for up to 80 guests as well as outdoor seating in the winter garden.
