It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years.

Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Our team has worked hard to connect to our community, and we value our customers. These values have been central to Ellen and Linwood’s vision, and we hope are felt by our customers each day.

Wonderful dinner at Osprey tonight. It was chilly and windy so we were able to sit by the fireplace. Very nice. Our meal and our server were excellent. Very enjoyable

Our first visit at Bistro 11. Celebrate my wife’s birthday and was not disappointed! Food was great and we were not hurried through which we appreciated. They have a pretty impressive menu from apps to entres. A decent wine list though not a big selection of by the glass, nevertheless we both found something to our liking. We will definitely go again.

What a delightful and home-like experience in a historic setting! The young waitstaff are delightful and personable. Chef Dan even come out to greet the guests. He is a great conversationalist and very knowledgeable about the property’s history.

The Alamo food Presentation was inviting, the Braves omelette was of a perfect size, the Southwestern salad the ingredients were well balanced, the salad properly seasoned. The server was efficient, polite, present at the right moments.
