About the restaurant
Dōjō is a new Izakaya & Saké Bar from the team behind Michelin rated, James Beard Nominee, Zitz Sum, located in Coral Gables, Florida.
Heavily inspired by our love for small Japanese bars, good quality seafood & all things cooked over charcoal, Dōjō brings together hospitality & familiarity to a space that is comfortable and inviting, designed to be inspired by Japandi interior design with bauhaus accents.
For us, Dōjō means the path & the way “Dō” and the time and place “jo”, tied with the concept of Ichigo Ichie which means “ in this moment, an opportunity”.
Relentless hospitality, excellent food & beverage; and being present in the moment are the core values of what the Dōjō experience is all about.

CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?

📍 FAENA MIAMI BEACH
James Beard Award-winning chef, Paul Qui, unfolds an ultra-exclusive speakeasy style Omakase experience-- El Secreto. Blending Tokyo-style sushi and Kyoto-style kaiseki into an unparalleled tasting menu that’s prepared and served for a mouthwatering culinary journey.

Tucked behind FAENA's candlelit cava and the red velvet folds of Faena Theater, there is beauty hidden in the shadows. EL SECRETO, Miami's best-kept secret for those in the know.

In Japan, the term ‘omakase’ refers to respectfully leaving another to decide what is best, or in gastronomic speak: the chef’s selection.

Indulge in the highest-quality seafood from around the world and relish in ever-evolving dishes and ingredients such as line-caught fish flown in daily, innovative vegetable dishes, sea urchin from Hokkaido, sustainable bluefin tuna from Baja and Sanuki Olive Wagyu from Kagawa Prefecture in Japan.

What you’ll find? We’ll never tell.

Best Omakase we have had in the US. Chef Erik brings new meaning to the experience — the creativity of his preparation and flavors he brings to every bite is like no other. I don’t like Uni and i loved it here for the first time. Talented, great personality and made my husband’s birthday really special. We will be back. This is by the way a soace that holds 6 seats and it was just the 2 of us that night. Sake selection is also impressive.
