Delicious food and attentive service!!
Piping hot delicious food. Excellent service.
A little neighborhood gem that we keep coming back to. It is comfortable, welcoming and yummy. Nothing fancy, but a solid Italian menu with very good food. The ravioli is a particular favorite!
Service was great but the food was the worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten.
Best Italian in Arlington! Huge portions, reasonably priced and most importantly, everything is delicious! A true hidden gem in the DMV.
You get a lot of food. Maybe too much pasta in the side bowl. Overall will return.
We went back here 11 years after our first date here. The place is nice enough, but the service this time was rather blah, passable, but blah. Food was fine but pretty basic Italian. Place was dead at 8pm on a Friday night so it had no atmosphere and was concerning.
Waiter was more interested in pitchinus his instagram.
Apparently he fancies himself a photographer, but I wont check him out.
Although the Salmon part of my Salmon Fancese was cooked well, the sauce was lame and the spinach was raw, not sauteed at all.
Well prepared dishes at moderate prices makes Ruffino’s a neighborhood gem that can be frequently enjoyed. Comfortable and friendly for the whole family.
Charming and neat atmosphere. Family style and great service, food, and pricing.
From receiving the friendly greeting upon entering to the attentive service and excellent food choices, Ruffino's is always such a pleasure.
Ruffino's is an outstanding local restaurant. We found them years ago and we have never been disappointed. My go to dish is spaghetti and meat balls while my wife raves about the linguini with white claim sauce. We highly recommend you give Ruffino's a try.
Ruffino's is a neighborhood gem. Good quality food at very reasonable prices. I usually order the clams and mussels over linguine - the sauce is delicious and very generous with the seafood. One of my recent favorites was the salmon special - grilled perfectly and served over a bed of spinach leaves. My husband orders one of the veal dishes - again the sauces are excellent, garlicky and rich. The friendly restaurant is open to modifications to their menu items. Ruffino's is a great place for a casual meal most any night.
First time at the restaurant. Something was off with their red sauce as it had a very smoky flavor. Lasagna seemingly made with ground beef that may have been old.
The value was good, but the sauce was burnt. No bread with dinner and small portions. Very disappointed.
My mom loves your restaurant and so do we. Great food and great service
The place is very small, menue small, choices of drinks limited, and although there were only seven others in the restaurant,we could hear about every word from an arguing couple in the window seat pretty far away from us.
A group of 8 of us had an enjoyable birthday dinner there. Three of us chose the angel hair pasta and were satisfied. Eggplant parmigian eaters thought it was just OK; the seafood mixture choice was enjoyed by one person. The portions were large.
We were served a complimentary excellent tiramasu with a birthday candle, which we all shared for dessert.
Service was very good; no one rushed us to finish even though we were there almost 2 hours.
We had no trouble hearing each other speak - very unusual at most restaurants these days.
Our wine was a sauvignon blanc from New Zealand, moderate in price and excellent in taste.
Parking in back was easy.
When family visits, I always go to Ruffino's . Love their chicken parm, and to that point… I was happy to see that they used thinner spaghetti this time, but was not as happy with the sauce. It’s always been a little too sweet for my taste, though easily fixed with a little bit of salt and a fair amount of pepper. This time however it was very smoky, almost barbecue, and I hate barbecue sauce. Would still go back, no worries, just wish they would go back to the old sauce recipe.
Ruffino's is an old classic Italian restaurant with local flavor. The service is always good and the food is a great value.
A fine neighborhood restaurant. Good food attentive service very reasonable prices. Very comfortable and relaxed environment.
A nice neighborhood place for a cozy casual lunch or dinner. My husband really enjoyed his eggplant parm! Servings are very generous.
We've driven past Ruffino's many times so we thought we'd stop in on Friday evening. The restaurant was almost empty. While the service was pleasant, the food (three types of ravioli and manicotti) lacked all flavor.
Authentic Italian food, great service and in casual neighborhood setting. A local treat!
Great service, we reserved for 4 then invited others and the restaurant accomodated us even though they were very busy. Food was good, with very large portions! HIghly recommend!
We were excited by super cute exterior and hope from the owner running the door. May have been and off night but it took at least 10 minutes for our server to greet us (after greeting another table sat after us). Watched the table behind us get food in two waves (one entree, then the other about 7 minutes later) and it took another 12 minutes for them to get Parmesan cheese. When our food finally arrived, it was mediocre Italian at best. Pasta was over cooked. Gnocchi had the right pillow look and fork pressure but was mealy and left a terrible mouth feel. We would not return.
One of our favorites. Great food. Good value. Nice atmosphere
We’ll be back
Great sauce and good service. It is a must to dine at.
This place has pretty good Italian food.Service is good. House made marinara is special. Not much ambiance but it is NOT loud at all unless somebody (like us) has a loud kid. Great prices.
Good old fashioned Italian restaurant.. great value for the money.. Had enough for a second meal. Basic and good.
We have been going to Ruffino's for 25 years and live it. Moderately priced...good friendly service. But I am wondering if ownership or the chef changed. Food was a little off this time, particularly the chicken francese which my husband normally loves.
This was our third trip to Ruffino's and the second time we have introduced it to a friend/relative who had never been there. Each time was a HIT!
Was a regular place for us several years ago. Seemed we tired a bit and stopped for a while. Staff seems all new. Good service. Three meals were from fair to very good. price low but no free bread!
Suggest the bottled wine rather than the carafe.
Great fathers day dinner with the family, awesome service and delicious food. Cannot wait to go back!
Overall the place was okay. The service was good and efficient. Our party was divided on the food. One or two of us had mediocre food and the rest thought the food was okay. The prices were reasonable.
We love group dinners at Ruffino's! The food is consistently good quality and taste, and the prices are definitely fair. As an Italian from New York, I recommend Ruffino's!
I wanted to like this place. I wanted it to be a neighborhood gem. It wasn't. It's very loud in there - even with hardly any guests. And the food was just average at best. Wish I could give a better review, but I can't.
Loved this place. Small, quiet, DELICIOUS !!! If you're ever in Arlington and want Italian, this is the place !!! Mike Hartman, Newton, MA.
Group of friends visiting DC Metro area. Found restaurant last minute. Service was great and food was good!
