We went on Sunday nite for the special dinner menu. You can not beat the price for the quality and quantity of food that you receive. From the greeting when you walk in from the hostess to the waiters serving your food, there is not a complaint that can be made. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the meat is so tender. Appetizers are fantastic as well as the sides and desserts. Will not hesitate to return again.
The Sunday Brunch is a real treat. Cold lobster, Hot skirt steak and Prime Rib with waffles and bacon. YUM! We were quickly seated and the staff kept the table in order as we returned with plates of food. The bar is transformed into a desert/cold salad buffet where a chocolate fountain is there waiting for you to dip your strawberries or marshmallow treats. Bagels, lox, clams on the half shell, all with a complimentary Mimosa.
My advice is to book at least a week out. Arrive early to get a good table. Because this place is a steakhouse, there are a lot of booth tables with makes it inconvenient to your guests at the table as they need to get up to allow others to access the buffet. Arriving early helped avoid this in our case as a booth was assigned for my party of 6 (with two chairs on the outside of the booth in the aisle) we requested a traditional table, and were given one without any hassle. Had the place been to capacity, that would have been impossible to accommodate.
Overall we enjoyed the experience, and cant wait for another special occasion to do it again!
Everything about the restaurant was perfect. Will be back again, very soon.
We are steady customers and return continuously for the great food, ambiance, service, and people watching.
Thank you.
Our family and friends always enjoy a hearty meal here
Service was great and so was the food. Special Thanks to John who placed us at a perfect table.
Just a great steak house all around. Great wait staff and food is always great.
Delicious food as usual...
I have said in numerous postings o line that I believe Rothmanns Steakhouse is the best steak house outside New York City, and likely among the top two or three steakhouses including the City. Our Thanksgiving day dinner was, as expected, excellent. The pleasant surprise came in the unhurried, expert service. I really, really like this place.
Had dinner on Sunday evening with another couple. This used to be one of our favorites but had gone downhill for a period of time. Glad to say, however, they've upped their game again!
We took advantage of their 3 course prefix dinner - everything was good including service & ambience. Valet parking is available. They've updated the restaurant since we were last there, and it does look great! The bar remains impressive & inviting. Great selection of drinks and wine.
As to the food, appetizers consisted of Caesar salads, wedge salad and baked clams. Everyone enjoyed their selection. Can't comment on most of the entrees since everyone ordered the bone-in rib steak. But they all came out exactly the correct temperatures, which at a steakhouse is a must for us. Only negative is they cut the bone to a very small size. Sides for the table included broccoli, mashed potatoes and hashbrowns. Here again, everything was cooked correctly and was tasty. desserts offered are the usual. Most of us declined and had coffee instead. All in all, it was a nice evening and good meal.
Best brunch around. There is something for everyone at their Sunday brunch buffet; from eggs, waffles, salads to fresh seafood. No one will leave hungry. The prime rib at the carving station was delicious, I went back for a second piece. Great service too.
The Food and service was amazing
Great steak and tuna. Great neighborhood restaurant for us.
Only wished they gave me a booth as was noted
Nice way to start the holiday season - dining out with friends. Food, atmosphere, service were great - however this restaurant is VERY NOISY and we could not hear ourselves across the table. Very difficult to have a conversation.
Great meal. Good service
The food and service were both top notch. They have certainly stepped up their game.
We’ve dined here for dinner quite a few times and each time we go back the service seems to be worse than the last. The food is good, but the wait staff is not very attentive nor do they seem to have a personality.
The 200 dollar steak was cold and extremely fatty.
Everything was excellent. The music was a bit loud and to begin with not dinner music.
This was my 1st time and I really enjoyed the food, ambience and service. I rated it a good value because of the 3 course special dinner menu. Kung Pao calamari was excellent, as was the porterhouse steak. There are a couple things that could use improvement: home fries were more like burnt french fries & part of my meal that I asked to be wrapped to go was not. I already recommended it to a friend and I would return.
Time and time again, this was a great meal at a great location. Sunday brunch is always great here. The quality of food does not decline. The service is great as well. Always a good feeling to be remembered by the staff. Highly recommend!
It may have been they didn’t have enough staff but no one even refilled our water glasses. The room was freezing and the service was very slow. The lobster that was de-shelled still has shell in it. Had to ask the manager for a second set of drinks. Food was not the usual.
The experience was excellent. We had a corner booth and the ambiance was perfect. Our guests enjoyed themselves. It was a wonderful night
Old-lone steakhouse with all that implies. Carers to an older crowd with money. Food is great, big portions, but expensive.
Food was great! Desserts were dry felt like they were old but the food was outstanding would definitely go back just not eat dessert
Great! Staff was attentive food was fresh and deliciois
Went for Sunday brunch. Great prime rib, lobster and shrimp. Pancakes delicious. Decaf coffee was terrible. Skirt steak had little flavor, deviled eggs and chicken salad were tasteless, and the bagel I took was hard. No crackers for the cheese. All three of us were underwhelmed.
Overall good experience and food was very good but we felt that the food was served way too quickly. Didn’t make for a relaxing dining experience for this type of meal.
We had a reservation but hostess tried to seat us in "the library" which is a dark gloomy room in the back. We asked for a booth in the main area so we were seated there. The noise level is very loud and everyone tries to be heard which makes the nose level rise. We ordered the porterhouse for two. The waiter asked if we wanted "juice" on our steak which I refused because "juice" is melted fat from the meat. We took home some of the steak, and then I could see that it was at least half fat which became evident when it was cold and could be seen in daylight. There is also a huge bone which is part of the ounces listed on the menu. So we paid around $110 for very little edible steak. Sides cost around $12 and are small and not worth the price.
Great food
Great serbice
Thought everything was amazing. I did think the bacon slab could use more of a sweet glaze to balance out the saltiness. The staff was excellent from the host to the waiters to the bus men to the manager. Everything came out in a timely manner and it had a nice welcoming/warm vibe.
Never disappointed with the steaks at Rothman's, as that's what you come for. The Octopus app was EH .The bacon slab was beyond amazing.. Maple for the season & cooked perfectly. Had the Waygu bone in strip which was fantastic. The grilled onions & brussel sprouts were great. Service was impeccable as usual. Dominic is a fantastic waiter/server. We specifically ask for him when we come in. Another great evening. Also discovered the greatest wine....
Great food; very nice wait staff- fancy but not stuffy.
Service was great and food was delicious
Attentive service. Excellent food. Three course prix fixe menu was a great value.
Very enjoyable Sunday dinner. Objected to extra charge pp for porterhouse. Felt like nickel and diming the patrons
Three burgers ordered medium...all came well. The lobster was overdone and rubbery and an entree on the specials menu was clearing not written properly because what we got was sushi and thats nothing like we thought.
Enjoyed the brunch as usual. Great food. Never dissapoints.
The only thing I was not crazy about was the banana cream pie. Other than that, everything is excellent.
Always a stellar experience. Wish they had better bread. But can't beat the food, value and service here.
