Rosie's Pub, lower level, offers Pub Menu and casual, friendly atmosphere.
The service and ambience were fine but all three meals were sub par. One in particular, the chicken Parmesan, was just plain bad. It was disappointing.
Great selection of dishes, cozy atmosphere. Recommended for pre-show dinner.
Great food and excellent service! Looking forward to returning for the delicious scallops!
Rosie's is a pleasant, welcoming, relatively inexpensive restaurant. Food was just ok this visit. The prix fixe menu is an attractive option, but I dont think it gets the kitchen attention that ala carte gets. Early dining provides the opportunity to stretch the meal out - no push to leave. Skip the onion soup if you have issues with salt.
It was a mess. Service not
Good. Meal was ok but steak was just blah. Great French onion soup.
We had been at the restaurant more times ; food is good and the personal kind.
Quality/price is good. We'll come back again
We liked the bar area (saloon), where we had drinks on several different days.
The dining experience was okay, although the waiter forgot to bring my starter (oysters).
The filet mignon steaks were good but not great. Price is okay for this location.
Lovely restaurant with a lot of charm. Interesting décor. Food was delicious. My main complaint was the service. We were seated for at least 20 minutes before we were brought menus or water. We had to ask for them. Service didn't get any better. Had to ask multiple times for more bread and water. Food took a long time to arrive. Waiters were polite but not particularly friendly. Asked to speak to a manager. Instead he sent a waiter.
Food, service and ambiance were all great!
Location is great. Service is very good. Atmosphere/ambiance is very nice. Food is good.
1. This restaurant advertised a few different dinner prices on Facebook than in the brick & mortar menu (higher).
2. Were seated right away, but took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table.
3. Waiter serve water frequently but never came back to see how our food was after served. Also asked for more brown bread & never received it.
4. Maui-maui tasted as if was frozen and heated up and served not hot. Broccoli was hard and cool.
5. No offer for a 25th anniversary :( When I asked waiter he said, "NO!" He could have at least extended best wishes!
6. Water on floor where I got out of the booth was never cleaned up. I could have slipped/fallen.
Horrible service, our waiter was clueless. We made our order very clear had to repeat several times and he still didn’t give us what we ordered. My husband ordered Crown Royal Manhattan he repeated the drink order over and over and the waiter couldn’t comprehend what he was asking for. God only knows what my husband got it was vile and definitely not a Manhattan which in New York should be a well known drink. This was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in NYC. The food was below average as well. Don’t go to this restaurant you will be very disappointed.
Had a hair ball in my dinner
Chicken cordon blue
I would never return there and I go there every time I’m in NYC
Perfect lunch before a show! Al fresco dining - food and wine were superb 👌🏼
Great location in the theatre district for casual fare.
We really like this place for pre theater dining. The staff are always super friendly and accommodating. The food is reliably good.
It was okay. Location was convenient for a meet up with out of town family. Food presentation was good. My burger was also good. Bar area gets busy. There are lots of choices in NYC, perhaps I’ll try somewhere else next visit as this experience was just “good”. No real complaints.
The entire experience was underwhelming. Out of town friends wanted to eat here as their final meal in NYC. They were on a budget, so it was the most expensive restaurant we ate at and enjoyed it the least. The Shepard’s pie was delicious, but the other dishes were nothing special. The bloody Mary’s were meh. When we asked for extra horseradish for our drinks, the waiter brought horseradish sauce (with mayo). I asked for balsamic dressing and at first was given a bottle of malt vinegar. We tried several times to get the waiter’s attention, for various reasons, and were mostly unsuccessful.
There were only a few tables in the restaurant. We had drinks, no apps/soup/starter salads and one dessert. Our lunch took 2 1/2 hours.
Always excellent. I almost don’t want to write a good review to ensure I get a reservation! 💕
We went pre theater on a Thursday night. The restaurant is minute away from the Winter Garden Theater where we saw Beetlejuice. Food was outstanding, service very friendly. Prices were modestly competitive. Would definitely recommend.
Always a great go-to place when in the area! Great ambiance and consistency regarding the quality of the food and staff.
My mom & I decided to come here for dinner before the theatre. We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel & we had been running around all day. The waiter was nice and accommodating. I ordered a Diet Coke & my mom ordered an unsweetened iced tea. I asked if they had gluten free beer & the server said he didn’t know, he’d have to ask. My mother ordered a bowl of tomato bisque soup & I ordered a garden salad to start. The tomato bisque was basically not edible. It was gummy & unappetizing. The salad was okay, but came with two tomatoes that were practically white. They were not looking or tasting fresh. My mother ordered the fish and chips and I ordered a California burger. The burger was meh...nothing that I couldn’t have cooked at home. My mom’s fish and chips was just okay. It seemed like frozen fish heavily battered. For $100.00 & a restaurant in Times Square New York, I expected so much better. I would not recommend the restaurant. Disappointed.
Amazing food, staff and ambience. Definitely worth a visit.
Establishment was what we expected! Table seating for two was very good.
Service was poor in comparison to other restaurants we visited during our stay in Manhattan, even though dollar value was the same.
Server to busy! Visited the table 3 times in an hour and 20 minutes. First time to take order, second time almost at the end of the meal, and third time to provide bill. Neglected to ask us if their was anything else we needed. Hard to get his attention.
Food... Caesar salad tasted like it had bottled dressing. Ordered Grilled Jumbo Shrimp Risotto very taste, but 3 of the shrimps were not deveined. Second meal was Dinner Prix Fixe which had a soggy salad and steak was asked for medium with some pink. Received well done.
No need to linger and would not recommend.
Our waiter was not very attentive to our needs. Order a nice bottle of wine that needed to be kept chilled and had to ask several times for an ice bucket and then the waiter poured what was left of the ice water pitcher in the bucket which melted very quickly.
Had lunch before a Saturday matinee. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was relaxed. We did not feel rushed at all.
Very mediocre food. My husband ordered their seafood salad, and I had shrimp risotto. Both of us commented on how bland and tasteless both dishes were. It was as if the chef forgot to properly season the dishes. It was our family’s least favorite meal that we had while on vacation in NYC.
Our first time here and we really loved it. An interesting menu with a good variety from which to choose. Service was excellent- they didn’t rush us but were available when we needed something. Overall it was a very good experience and we will be back!
My friend and I sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. We had reservations, but arrived early so not sure we needed them. The food was delicious.
Great service, friendly staff, beautful interior, great food
Waiter seemed to be on a mission to get us in and out as fast as possible even though it was 70% empty.
Don't ask me if there is anything else I need when I am still eating my main course please. That is rude.
If I want fast food I'll go to McDonald's.
However the food was good. Just felt rushed and spoilt the experience.
In and out in less than an hour.
We had a wonderful dining experience @ rosie's. We were greated with a friendly host. He was very gentle with my elderly mom. We had steak perfectly cooked to our order & Shrimp cocktail & crab cake apps. It was a delightful meal before our visit to the theater. Highly recommend.
My dad and I really enjoyed our meal after a show!
Food was good but pricey.
We had our entree within a minute of ordering and before our drinks even.
As soon as they took our plate away then next minute the next course arrived.
We felt very rushed
The French Onion soup was divine! Chicken Portofino was just ok. Service was great, dining area was lovely; bar area was a little too loud but we were probably there during the after-work drinks hour. Cost of New York restaurants are always too high in my opinion, this was no different.
A must go every time I visit! Food and atmosphere are exceptional to say the least. Something for everyone.
Service was poor burger was over cooked Caesar salad was tasteless
The menu on their website is not up to date.
The restaurant was warm- a/c not working properly. Food was good, not amazing
Don't order the calamari; it was tough and tasteless. The workers (wait staff & Maitre D') seemed that they couldn't care less about patrons. There are plenty of restaurants in NYC, skip this one!
