RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.

We loved the food and the service! We had clams, oysters, sea bass and lamb ragout. It was all delicious and beautifully prepared. They have fun and interesting cocktails, too.
Thank you RockCreek for a perfect anniversary dinner. Food was delicious and creative, service was subtle and yet attentive, and due to Covid lots of dining space and privacy! Thanks!!
Food was amazing as always. I had the carolina shrimp - the mackerel appetizer, the sea bass were all excellent.
Server was sort of rude but everything else was great !
Amazing food. Top notch ingredients, and presentation was spectacular. Will dine at Mr. Donnelly's restaurants again for certain!
Thank you so much for making it possible to have a great gathering despite the difficulty of Covid. There were 5 of us, and we ate outside. The food was fantastic, truly among the best in town. The service and sensitivity was very thoughtful. We had a couple of exotic cocktails, sea bass, tuna, a few veggie appetizers, and key lime and s'mores mousse for dessert -- OMG!! This is our favorite north-of-the-city treat, and it's nice to remember fun fine dining again!
Restaurant is Amazing!!
Even in these crazy times
When you only go out to dinner twice a month instead of twice a week like we did pre-pandemic it had better be a fabulous experience. Rock Creek same through on a Friday night. The salad and the mains were outstanding. I had blackened Ono. Scrumptious presentation. From the cocktails to the wines our server paired with our dishes to the desert it was just over the top great. Love this place...it rocks!
Best oysters on the half shell that I've ever had. A little on the pricey side, but phenomenal service and a local spot to satisfy a seafood craving.
Amazing restaurant food is Awesome
The food is amazing. If you are going to leave the house for a socially distant meal, this is the place.
Love this place so much!
The tuna tartar and sea bass were outstanding. Very knowledgeable team and an interesting wine list. Highly recommended!
Really like this place! Very recommend. Food is delicious.
Excellent service and food. Dessert was amazing, and the small plates are a great value. Will be back!
It was great. The hostess at beginning said we would be limited to 1 hr 38 minutes. Due to Covid parameters. Seemed random. Crowd was very light and nobody asked for/needed our table, luckily. So we were left to a very nice, fun meal.
Great service and food. Airy on nice days too with patio seating.
Delicious food and friendly waiters/waitresses.
The mackerel dish was my favorite, as well as the octopus (they put less beans in it). I dined here with my partner on his work anniversary. We ordered the sea bass, it was good but I think it was a bit overcooked. The fish did not slide off easily when we forked it and it was a bit chewy. My least favorite dish (since the dishes are small, we decided to order something that was more filling such as the lamb ragu). The lamb ragu was overly salty and I almost wished I had informed the waiter but my partner was being polite. It has bacon in it which was delicious but it tasted as if I was ingesting 1 tablespoon of salt every time I took a bite.
The seafood here is great but I definitely think that they could put less salt in their dishes.
Would come here again to eat the mackerel appetizer.
Went for my husband’s birthday during phase 2 reopening. Had a reservation for 4pm on Saturday and was tickled pink to find out it was happy hour. Ordered the Moscow mules— fabulous. Each of the happy hour starters. The mussels on toast with saffron aioli was revolutionary. Had another round of drinks and the tuna tartar for dessert. One of our favorite seafood restaurants in Seattle. Their sister restaurant flint creek cattle and also amazing.
Best birthday dinner in a while. Best night out in a while. Thank you!
Warm and friendly Manager and hostess
Carlos the Chef is Amazing !!
My favorite restaurant in Seattle. Always great food with amazing combination of flavors, wonderful service.
Just opening in COVID. APPROPRIATE SEATING SPACING.
My friend & I dined at Rock Creek on their second day of being open for dining service after being closed for months for COVID. They didn’t skip a beat. I never would have known they were “reopening”. The food was impeccable as always, the service was warm & attentive. And even though they were following the 25% capacity guidance of the county, the place had a wonderful energy. Go!!!
Food was outstanding! Nice neighborhood restaurant 👍
I tend to dislike traditional seafood places, that are all about giant baskets of bread and bowls of chowder and seafood from who knows where. Wanted to try something different with a focus on quality, freshness and updated presentation. RockCreek hit it out of the park. Everything from opening drinks to dessert was excellent, and the rockfish in the "cioppino" was some of the best fish I've had.
It was very busy and waited a short while for our table. The food was good. My sea bass was great. The main issue was time. We waited at least 45 minutes between our appetizers and our entrees. However, they knew it was a problem, apologized, and took some off the check. On top of that, our server put a much larger piece of bread in our “doggie” bag to replace the tiny slices we had asked her to pack up for home then she had dropped. That was great.
Bottoms line: the kitchen was slow and management made an effort to mitigate that. They clearly value their customers and want return business. I know we will be back.
Our server was fantastic and menu choices are excellent. We split a couple of small plates...Caesar salad and grilled octopus were great. My wife had the sea bass and it was fabulous...pricey at $35. I had the lamb ragu with smoked bacon and radiatori pasta. Disappointed with that dish. Smoked bacon drowned out the lamb...could hardly detect any lamb and it just didn’t taste very good.
my favorite restaurant food, service, environment consistently superb. thanks so much!!
Without a doubt the best meal I’ve had in years!!!!
We have dined here before and keep coming back; Rock Creek just keeps getting better. Service was very attentive and fully explained the dishes we had questions on. The ricotta gnocchi was outstanding as was the Arctic char and roasted Bronzino. The s’more dessert was one of the best I have ever had!
Has become one of my favorites in Seattle. Love the menu and also love the execution of the dishes. A wonderful combination of down home nd sophistication. So far, no disappointments
Amazing seafood! We did Kari out in a box, shrimp and grits, Chilean sea bass ( to die for), scallops, and shared a Key lime pie pudding thingie!
Come here by taxi every time we are in Seattle. I need to use the elevator with my walker. Young lady (I’m 72), did a great job working with me when elevator did not cooperate. She should get a bonus.
Great place to bring folks from out of town. Always great experience!
Food is excellent. Service once seated very good. DO NOT go if you are by self to just two people. We we a party off two celebrating a birthday. They knew that via Open Table.
It was like a fight to the bitter end to get a decent table BECAUSE there are no decent tables for parties of two. The ones they have are squished together so you WILL become a party of four with strangers whether you like it or not.
The place was almost empty (5 pm) and the upstairs completely empty, but still had to fight for a decent table.
Bad way to start a dinner -- but the food (Chilean Sea Bass) was excellent.
Nice dinner with friends. Better like seafood if you come here, menu full of choices from the sea.
Had octopus, mussels, sea bass (very plain), and sturgeon.
Wine corkage is $30 so a bit steep to bring your own.
The only bad thing was the hostess. She was definitely annoyed to be at her job that day. But everything else was great. And she food was amazing. Makes me want to go back to Seattle just to have dinner here.
Our server seemed like she didn’t truly care that we had a good brunch experience. Check backs were infrequent, we had to ask repeatedly for things we needed, and the orders were written down wrong. I usually have the best service here but this experience was sub par at best.
Service was fantastic. I've been seated in the upstairs before and felt like the service took more time, but this time it was great. I had two guests from out of town, and one who had never really experienced seafood before, so we tried multiple dishes. We had the brock-a-feller (sp) oysters, manilla clams, and octopus to share as starters and each dish was very well prepared and not overcooked. For our main course we shared the seafood stew, sourdough bread, and SeaBass. All courses were uniquely different and flavorful.
