RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
Nice dinner with friends. Better like seafood if you come here, menu full of choices from the sea.
Had octopus, mussels, sea bass (very plain), and sturgeon.
Wine corkage is $30 so a bit steep to bring your own.
Our server seemed like she didn’t truly care that we had a good brunch experience. Check backs were infrequent, we had to ask repeatedly for things we needed, and the orders were written down wrong. I usually have the best service here but this experience was sub par at best.
Service was fantastic. I've been seated in the upstairs before and felt like the service took more time, but this time it was great. I had two guests from out of town, and one who had never really experienced seafood before, so we tried multiple dishes. We had the brock-a-feller (sp) oysters, manilla clams, and octopus to share as starters and each dish was very well prepared and not overcooked. For our main course we shared the seafood stew, sourdough bread, and SeaBass. All courses were uniquely different and flavorful.
The hostess was friendly and very energetic, hustling to get guests seated in timely matter. She also got drinks for guests while waiting beside moving quickly between the two floors and help setting table. All the staffs were in sync and working together to accommodate the guests. The food is excellent and tasty fresh seafood items. We would recommend friends to dine there. Overall, it was one of the best dining experience for a late Valentine’s Day dinner to us.
We love going to FlintCreek, the sister restaurant, and decided to try RockCreek. I prefer FlintCreek. The parking is better and the space is bigger. RockCreek food was fantastic, everything was tasty. I think $36.00 for 3 scallops is asking a bit much. We'd probably go back if it was closer to us. It was fun to try new place and I would recommend it, With Reservations! We got there at 5 on a Sunday, by 6 they were turning people away at the door.
Top 5 seafood in Seattle. Enough said
Very overpriced especially for the amount of food that you get.
The food was excellent. We shared the octopus, oysters rockafeller, rockfish soup, and blackened ono. We love coming here and to their sister restaurant Flint Creek!
We have not been to Rock Creek for sometime, but had a great meal, and dining experience the other day. Service was great and friendly without being imposing. The ambiance is lively and can be loud when you first walk in, but somehow not overwhelming after you settle in.
And not the restaurants fault, but another patron was wearing overwhelmingly strong perfume. I never u defat and why people will do such as it is distracting and messes with the taste buds !
But a restaurant can not control everything.
The things RockCreek does control are wonderful!
Sorry to see that the place is getting worse. Too much sauce can’t hide the underlying problems with basics preparation. Unavailable almost half of the menu at 8:00 am on a Saturday. Not replacing cutlery before entree(and asking to place the used fork and knife directly on the table) seems like is getting this once promising place into the typical overpriced chain restaurant.
Our server was attentive to our every need and she was very nice! The food came out fast and it was amazing ☺️
very good food
This is my second time visiting. Love your food! You seriously need an espresso machine. After brunch, our two guests went to cafe across the street to get espressos.
Rockcreek is hands down the best place in Seattle for seafood.
Food was interesting and delicious, fun to share small plates and try different things, fantastic cocktails, service was perfect. Hefty bill. Well worth it. The Shigoku oysters we had are now my official favorite of a lifetime.
Every time we eat here we consider it one of the best meals of our lives. "This is amazing!" or "Can I have the last bite?" or "I'm having a food moment." exclaimed multiple times per sitting. It's a great spot for all occasions, but especially date night or bringing visitors. Highly recommend sharing plates. Some of the best, inventive seafood dishes in Seattle, not to mention fantastic cocktails. Save room for dessert!
Service was attentive and the food was beautifully presented and very good. I had the gnocchi that was very good. Also got one bite of the octopus! Needless to say, there was minimal sharing!
Creative dishes, great quality fish, delicious cocktails, and knowledgeable staff. Also loved the decor. My only complaint is that we were seated on the first floor and got a big wave of cold air every time someone came in or out - I will definitely plan to go back but next time would request the upstairs in cold weather, unless they put up a curtain in the entryway.
Overall outstanding; food, service, ambiance!! Can’t wait to come back.
Also a special thank you to the amazing staff for accommodating us due to some last minute changes with our reservation. Highly recommend!
Open concept, post and beam architecture with few soft surfaces means noise abounds here and when the door opens a chill runs through the restaurant, yet it's comfortable environment, great food and excellent service more than make up for this. For someone who is a seafood eating "vegan", this place offers many choices and I'll be back.
Nice anniversary spot or any special occasion
My favorite restaurant in Seattle.
Great service as always and outstanding food.
Everything was great, the scallops were outstanding!
Poached eggs were dry and overcooked. Heavily seasoned with too much salt. Waiter was not to be found until he asked for the check. Explained the issues and absolutely nothing done. Not even an apology.
Sunday brunch was everything it should be! The Benedicts were delicious and light. The Cinnamon Roll was glutinously large with delicious orangey cream cheese icing. Take friends and enjoy!
This quickly became a favorite when we lived in the neighborhood, and remains our favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food is always delicious, and incredibly reasonable given the high quality and being in Seattle. The small plates are the perfect size for smaller stomachs, or share a few.
This was our second time here and the food was quite good and the drinks excellent. The only negatives were that the server was a bit brusque (and not very attentive) and the noise was so loud that conversation was difficult.
Outstanding foodie experience. We shared a couple of small plates to start - tuna tartare and chargrilled octopus - both were wonderful. For entrees my husband and son ate fish and I had a beautiful Caesar salad. Everything was extremely tasty and the service was impeccable. We will return!
No view but quality fish and seafood. Our 8 months pregnant server guided us expertly. We share all dishes and realized after we ordered, we ordered one dish too many. She was able to cancel one that would have been too protein heavy. We ordered three kinds of oysters on the half shell to start off and the Silver Hilton and the Woolly Bugger cocktails to wash them down. Sublime. Next was the Crispy Fried Smelt with a tangy aioli sauce, so good I could have eaten them all! The Chilean Seabass that our server said was one of her favorites melted in your mouth, so perfectly cooked it was. We finished with the Barbecued Spanish Octopus that was excellent and quite filling. No room for desserts but we can't wait to return.
Amazing! Best seafood!!
My favorite dish at Rock Creek is the black cod. It must be out of season right now so they had the same presentation but sea bass. Black cod is better. We also had the Arctic char which was outstanding. I look forward to returning soon when the black cod is in season.
Our waitress Nicole was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and personable. We will definitely dine here again and hope to get Nicole.
Dinner was very good, excellent and creative dishes. The Kari our Calamari was a bit sopped in sauce , and needs a tad more calamari ? Overall , great execution of seafood and key lime pie in a cup ! Overall the restaurant was freezing , and never got temperate . Everyone had their coats on for the entire meal ! Made the great food a bit less enjoyable ..
Was there for brunch. The service upstairs was spotty (had to ask for coffee and coffee refill), however the food was tasty.
We’ve never had a bad meal Aaron Rock Creek. Creative presentations of fantastically fresh fish
One of our Seattle favorites. Never disappoints. You could randomly pick anything on the menu and it would be great. Also appreciate the wonderful - and frequently updated - wine list that gives us a chance to try some new ones. Servers are excellent as well.
Consistently excellent. We've been coming here for years and are never disappointed. We love the mackerel salad, cauliflower salad, calamari, black cod, shrimp and grits...everything's good and the bartenders are great at inventing cocktails for us to try.
Love the place but the last two times we got stuck upstairs at a tiny table in the corner. It was early and the place was less then half full. It was for a birthday so a nicer table would have been awesome.
Our first visit to Rock Creek was absolutely perfect. Started with cocktails. Well prepared. We then shared the cauliflower and shrimp appetizers. They were delicious. Followed by our main courses and everyone loved their food. So many great twists on seafood. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and unfortunately, can’t remember her name (sorry but she was pregnant) and she made our visit exceptional. Rock Creek is a gem!
