RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
This was our second visit, and it more than lived up to our very good first meal. We'll definitely be bumping this up higher in our rotation.
The oysters and black cod were excellent. The calamari in the Kari-Out dish was soft and good, but there was too much dressing in the salad. We ordered decaf coffee which was lukewarm. Our server was pleasant enough, but not overly friendly. Restaurant was busy and loud.
Fantastic brunch - highly recommend!!!! Great service and excellent food.
Every dish we had was a treat of tastes. Our favorite surprise dish was the cauliflower appetizer- it was such a unique presentation. We can’t wait to dine her again to try other dishes.
I was in Seattle at a conference and needed a place for dinner with a friend and found this place on OpenTable. We were not disappointed. First, the service was terrific. I joked to the server that the way she described the dishes I suspected that peanut and butter sandwiches would have sounded exotic. And the food was beautifully prepared with interesting sauces and lightly cooked. The black cod is one of their specialities and it was delicious. The only dish we found wanting was the mackerel but I think that was on us -- it tasted too fishy and really I don't think mackerel can help it. Very nice wine list and we passed on desserts but they looked delicious. The place can get loud, especially inside (they have a nice deck but it is Seattle so not sure how often you can eat there) so it was frustrating at times for my friend and me to catch up but all in all was a terrific dinner. Oh, and ask about the dish served in a Chinese take out carton. Story is very Seattle.
Loved it! Nicole was so informative and answered each question patiently. Even wrote down ingredients in My cauliflower salad app which was outstanding. Yellowfin tuna entree was perfection.
The menu is interesting. We enjoyed octopus, salads and pasta. The service is great, very friendly and laidback. A fun place for a meal with friends.
This place was simply heavenly. I highly recommend their oysters on the half shell and their black cod, which was impeccably prepared and melted in my mouth. DELICIOUS! They also didn’t rush you which was nice, so it felt more relaxing. Loved it!
This restaurant is a top spot to enjoy in the Seattle area. Initially it takes a minute to get used to the noise level. Seating at the bar is fairly limited and tight. The food and service after being seated was fantastic. Small plates with great variety, you just can’t have one. Go ahead, make plans to go!
Delicious, imaginative food. Great service. Very loud, makes conversation difficult ,but still one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle.
Fantastic food - presented highly creatively and some of the best seafood and fish cuisine anywhere. Super friendly and efficient service with attention to details.
Food is outstanding. A seafood lovers dream. We're definitely coming back.
Excellent seafood and service. Great choice also of seafood and nicely cooked. We had dessert too and their wine list is very reasonably priced. Overall loved it.
Awesomely fun experience! Inventive, delicious food in an open, funky decor. The “Kari Out” was extraordinary, all food excellent. Our server was perfect - informative and attentive at all the right times.
For me, this place has the best non-Japanese seafood in Seattle. I love it and I have been there twice in the past couple weeks and plan on going again this month. Exceptionally tasty and well prepared meals. Everything I've had at this place has been outstanding.
Always amazing food and service. We went for brunch and enjoyed every bit of it!
The best seafood in Seattle -- excellent value for money! Only complaint -- it's a little noisy.
In town for vacation and wanted some good seafood. I had the small plates and allowed me to have a taste of a couple different dishes. That along with the ousters were a very satisfying and delicious meal. The old fashioned was killer, too
Can't decide what was better--the cuisine or the service. We sampled a medley of oysters with our specialty cocktails and we thought we went to foodie heaven. The pasta with just off the vine vegetables and artic char were a great follow. Our server (wish I could recall her name) was like a comfortable shoe we've known and loved forever.
My only regret is that we don't have RockCreek on the East Coast where I live.
Great food. OK Service. If you are
The service staff, particularly our waitress was excellent. Very knowledgeable and present when we needed her but not hovering. We ate family style and all the dishes were excellent
👍👍👍👍oysters and octopus was awesome
We are always looking for new restaurants in Seattle as we live downtown and can go almost anywhere. How did we miss RockCreek? It is a new favourite. Loved every dish we had and will definitely be back. How could a simple cauliflower salad could be so good?!?
Outstanding food and service. Enjoy the many varied seafood options but my favorite is the Black Cod. Also of note is the herbed butter that comes with the bread starter. I will definitely come back!
Excelente comida. Muy bien atendido , altamente recomendable , muy buen lugar .
Good quality seafood but surprised that fish was plated with not a single leaf of lettuce or side dish!
Lacey was an amazing server: )
Love love Rock Creek. Top 5 favorite restaurants in Seattle & we ALWAYS make a point to come here when in town. Service was a little underwhelming this time- not much help & server didn’t seem interested in going above his usual “job”. Not bad by any means but not our usual vibe from the staff here. The food was, as always, EXQUISITE so hats off to the kitchen!!!
We've tried to get into RockCreek on short notice in the past and had been to the bar but had never been in for a meal. We're very pleased we a made a reservation as we really enjoyed the food, the service and the overall atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and exceptional quality of food! Waiter suggested visiting second restaurant by same owners and we already made plans!!!
Always a good time, with great food and amazing staff.
Food was delicious and service was fantastic. Craft cocktails were beautifully presented. It was my moms bday and both parents’ first time in Seattle. RockCreek was a great PNW seafood experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. (And get the stew)
Repeat customer based on recent positive experience at same restaurant. Arrived early for an early dinner reservation, no other customers around, all tables empty. Hostess took us to the worst possible table, one next to bathroom and crowded up against bus/waiter station being restocked for the night. Rest of staff made up for the hostess’s poor judgement with an otherwise excellent meal. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time. Every dish was great. Especially I loved cauliflower salad.
Service was amazing and the food was great. We came with a baby and The staff was super accommodating. Our daughter was a little fussy for some reason that night and they had a children’s finger puppet book that they let her play with to keep her occupied. That was really nice of them and our server interacted with our baby making our dinner a lot smoother. Food was quick and everything tasted great. Only complaint was the lamb ragout was salty. Loved the ambience and decor of the joint
We were visiting from Chicago, and it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of fresh and modern seafood cuisine. Everything was delicious, which special nods to the oysters, cauliflower salad and lemon curd dessert.
We visited RockCreek to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous meal and will definitely return. The sourdough and herb butter was a great way to start. We shared the Manila Bay clams small plate, which was delicious. For entrees, we had the Baja Yellowtail and Blackened Hawaiian Opah - both were fantastic. The cocktails were great too. Service was very good. Overall just a great experience, we'll definitely return.
Best food in Seattle by far. Consistently fabulous and no other restaurant in the city can brag everyone of their desserts are awesome. Have to have the cauliflower salad- it's a must. In fact we have never had one item that was marginal. RARE find.
Very good quality seafood. Dishes are put together in very creative way.
We come here often. Had people visiting from out of town and wanted to impress! The service and food are always top notch here!! Will always recommend and continue to return!
