I hadn't been there in a long time to eat in. Server was great. 4 of us each ordered something different and all was very good. Glad to be back. I would go again.
I already have two neighbors who want to go there. We loved everything about the service and the food. It made our anniversary very special. Our waiter was terrific.
Food great. Seating outside spectacular. Go here!
A nice touch to have soup or salad included in the price of the entree. You don't see that very much any more. I had the veal special and my husband had veal piccata. The veal was paper thin, moist and delicious, each with an excellent sauce. Portions were hearty. Charging an $3 to swap out the potatoes for extra spinach on my plate was a negative. Also, service from the kitchen for the entrees was quite slow. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable evening in a lovely setting.
Try the steak special, outstanding! Waiter recommended a merlo that went very well with my dish.
Once again, a perfect business lunch at Roberto’s! Branzino was prepared perfectly. The pasta fagioli, delicious. The tomato & mozzarella was very good! Only negative was that the tomatoes could have been riper! But no worries, because Roberto’s never disappoints!
Poor service. I ordered sliders and was given one sub. It was to come with Parmesan fries, but no evidence of Parmesan. Perhaps kitchen staff off for the holiday, but then tell the truth about what you have on the menu. And the waiter was busy with friends.
A beautiful place, but NOT. a good first experience.
Roberto's is a neighborhood Italian restaurant with a vast menu, excellent wine choices and a long specials list.
Excellent experience!! The food was delicious as was the wine!
The food has really gone down. The pasta fagioli soup had only a couple of beans--mostly broth. Sad to see such a nice restaurant on the decline.
Food was excellent. Meena was a fantastic server - totally on top of her game.
The food is consistently excellent, and likely the reason that the place gets crazy on weekends. We have eaten at Roberto's four times in the past 6 months and the past dinners have been during a week night. During the week I would rate Roberto's five stars, but on the weekend, it is just too busy to be a comfortable, enjoyable dining experience. They are victims of their own success, and maybe the solution is to be more aggressive about managing weekend reservations.
The food was good and the ambiance was on point. Had a fun dinner with my family.
Food was good but service was extremely slow.
Service was TERRIBLE
Food came out in sections
1 person got food about 10 minutes after first group and last person got a pizza like 20 minutes later. Some of us were already done eating.
Waiter never came back for more drinks and never came to offer coffee or desert- we had a BD at the table which we told him about when we sat down.
We told the owner and he apologized and said they were so busy- it was Mother’s Day and they were busy but we made open table res weeks before as I’m sure most of the restaurant had done- they had to know how many res they had on a holiday!!
Plan ahead and have enough trained staff!
Took forever to pay bill
As we were putting coats on bus boy brings out a dessert w/a candle for the BD.
Some of our party had already left to get cars!
Owner did NOTHING
JUST motioned to other owner that they now had a table of 7 open as we were walking out!
Ashame bc we loved going there and food was very good
We won’t be back
Have had slow service there b4 but this was really a bad experience
Celebrated Mother's Day with my family. They were busy, crowded; Food was excellent; Service was excellent. We love Roberto's.
Roberto's is a really special restaurant, they may your dinning with them enjoyable.
This was our first visit to Robertos. We had fried calamari as an appetizer, and the vegetable lasagne and tri colored pasta rollatini with vodka sauce. The entrees came with a choice of salad or soup. We both had the Pasta fagiolle which also came with fresh warm bread. All of the food was super tasty, and the busboy was very friendly, efficient and attentive to our needs. The waiter was pleasant and experienced. The thing that kind of made us uncomfortable was the owner/manager's demeanor upon our arrival. He was chewing out the hostess about how she had assigned the tables and didn't acknowledge us for 3 or 4 minutes until we finally interrupted to say we had a reservation. It only took about 15 minutes to be seated, no big deal at all, but it was just an unfortunate start to our dining experience. Everything else was great, and we hope to return soon.
We haven't been to Roberto's for almost a year and we used to go all the time and loved it. The prices increased significantly and the food didn't seem fresh. Pasta bolognese was fine but the veal scallopini seemed as it was reheated, not fresh. Lasagna had bigger chunks of meat and wasn't as hot and juices didn't mix together. So sorry it was like that we used to love to come to Roberto's.
Food was great. Service was so so. She put wrong pasta order in so our friend had to wait for his pasta that was with his veal parmesan.
Something has gone terribly wrong at Roberto's which is usually a great place to dine. A crabby waitress didn't like my special order, brought one meal and waited 5-7 min. to bring the other (a good server knows to bring meals at the same time), told me that I could not have dessert because I had not eaten my vegetables, then treated me like a "cake theif" when I told her that last week a server told me I had a free slice of cake coming for my birthday. The maitre'd and the assistant manager joined in on the interrogation: Who told you that? Did you receive an email saying you had a slice of cake? Maybe the knew it was your birthday because he's friends with you on Facebook. They further held me hostage by not bringing the check until I asked for it a third time. I was happy to pay for the slice of cake just to get the hell out of there. I've never been treated so badly. When I come to Roberto's I leave a 66% tip. Last night I left only a 15% tip. Why the lousy treatment?
The minestrone soup is excellent!
Friendly atmosphere compliments the excellent food. I recommend Roberto's.
Food was excellent and beer accommodating to guest’s needs. The prepared the pasta with the ingredients I wanted. Service was impeccable.
Wonderful, attentive service; outstanding wine list; beautiful, comfortable room; able to readily chat, even across a round table for 10; excellent dinner selections beautifully presented and delicious. A family favorite for over 10 years.
The food was prepared very well. Service was uneven and a bit choppy.
Some of our requests were forgotten and service was very slow.
i was celebrating my birthday. The server forgot to bring me my birthday treat.
Looking for a great place to dine? You found it!
Roberto's is the place!
Pizza is delicious. All fresh ingredients. Customized to your specifications.
Really enjoyed the goat cheese stuffed figs, tri-color rolled pasta with vodka sauce, tiramisu, and flourless cake. Our waitress was friendly.
Best restaurant in Elmhurst!
I like that you see long time customers there, the owner is present and attentive and they have a professional wait staff. Good food at fair prices and fair prices on wine, which I don't usually see. I don't live in the area, but there for business I always go.
Very nice quiet place to have lunch! Food and wine tasting was absolutely amazing! I would recommend anyone to come here for great Italian Food!
Great menu great food great service great value. One of my favorites.

Homemade soup is delicious!
Excellent service, food and ambiance, but we try to keep this place a secret as we don't want it to become too popular.
