Roastit Bubbly Jocks
We use quality local beef, lamb, pork, game, fowl, fish and seafood. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere belies the exacting culinary standards demanded by chefs and patrons alike. Our philosophy? Keep the food simple and let the natural flavours speak for themselves. We hope you take the opportunity to find out for yourself. The extensive market and a la carte menus change seasonally, with daily specials.
100% lovely. We arrived quite early but were still welcomed. Every part of our meal from service to food to wine quality was excellent and a really reasonable price too. Fully recommended from a family who dine out in Glasgow on a very regular basis.
Small comfortable restaurant in Partick, West end of Glasgow. Very warm welcome and comfortable seating. Menu mostly Scottish and fresh local produce, well made and well presented, and absolutely delicious. Good wine list available. Highly recommended.
Great evening - was last minute booking but will definitely go again.....
Buzzy ; fun ; relaxed and delicious tasty food...what’s not to like!
Great atmosphere, great food, host was very friendly. I had the chicken and husband had the venison
Another excellent meal at this delightful bistro.
Amazing food as always and lovely staff! They always go the extra mile to make your evening unforgettable.
Wonderful Saturday afternoon eating with family. Engaging and wonderful host. Highly recommended
It was very busy and the food was good a wee bit of a wait due to it being busy ( could do with more chefs at it seems to busy all the time) tables a wee bit to close to each other.
Visited again on Monday to try the breakfast as the menu looked good but when we got there it was closed for refurbishment
We will visit again when visiting Glasgow.
Really disappointing, e.g. filo-feta parcels didn't seem to have any feta inside, just squash; pavlova meringue was very dry and served with little sauce - both were so much better when we ate there just a few weeks ago. Don't think I will be going back.
Brill food & service. Will be returning again with family visiting from Canada. Excellent value for money too.
Excellent food served by two very competent young members of staff.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and service as always.
It has taken us a couple of years to make it back to this place, but so glad we made it.
Our memories were of great food with excellent service, if anything it was even better.
Staff are happy to recommend dishes, wine or just to pass the time of day. Food was excellent, with a great menu choice and specials.
It won't be 2 years before we are back.
Always enjoy our visits to RBJ - wonderful friendly service and delicious food. Will come back time and time again.
The food wasn’t as great as every other time we’ve been but I will still go back. Probably just caught the chef on an off night. I would probably order off the a la carte menu next time, the steak on the market menu was a bit cheap/small. Probably as good as could be expected for £10 though.
Excellent food. Very attentive service. Will be back.
Excellent, creative food. Great, friendly service. 5-star restaurant.
Wonderful food and wonderful ambience. You could tell all the food was made fresh from scratch and with love. The Venison was so fresh and the raspberry brûlée with the dessert wine was delish . Enjoy. Would thoroughly recommend. xxx
Food was fantastic as was the service, will definitely be back!
Probably my favourite restaurant in Glasgow, the staff are always first class and nothing is a problem for them. The food is delicious and well presented with a varied menu to suit everyone, would thoroughly recommend.
Compared with some of the competition the ambience, decor and therefore the atmosphere were a little lacking, however both the food and the service were excellent.
The food here is wonderful, very tasty and good portion size. It has a small menu two courses for £15 plus an a la carte menu that is more expensive, but all the dishes are delicious. Service is excellent. Highly recommended. Booking sensible as it is usually busy.
Lovely heart food, great service. Nice ambidence and cosy inside.
What a disappointment!
We chose the 'specials of the day', thinking it would be special! It was, especially poor.
The mussels were swimming in a sea of cream & half of them were shrivelled.
The guinea fowl was tasteless, served on a thick bed of lentils, also swimming in a flavourless brown sauce. About three onions accompanied the dish.
We did not try the dessert.
On leaving the premises my coat, scarf and other clothing were impregnated with a fatty odour still there the next day.
The service was pleasant. As a gesture, the starter was discounted from the bill.
We were not there for a cheap meal but a good meal.
Roastit Bubby Jocks failed!
This was our first visit and hopefully not our last. The food is excellent. I had the venison and my partner had haggis. Both were excellent.
The venue is fairly small so it is quite noisy. Good if you like atmosphere but not so good if you like it quiet.
It was a busy Saturday night and we were the second sitting but the staff coped marvellously. The food was good but don’t go if you want an exciting different gastronomic experience. Value was very good.
Excellent food at a very reasonable price. I'll be back.
Very nice meal
A lovely restaurant/bistro- we had vegetarian haggis and meat haggis and it was lovely! Wasn’t sure what to expect , but pleased we went! A pleasant, bistro - excellent value⭐️⭐️
Have been coming to RBJ for a number of years for special occasions and moved much closer recently. We now visit every couple of months. Food is always superb and the service even better. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Lovely warm friendly servers. The wine I wanted wasn't chilled so I got a complimentary glass on the house while they sorted it out. The food was also delicious. Love it here and will be back soon!
Had a great pre-theatre meal before heading to the Armadillo. 3 excellent courses each plus couple of wine and beer for under £65..
Pleasantly surprised and will be back.
First came here on recommendation from a tour bus driver, for real Scottish food. We love this place, and have come back several times to bring visiting family, and to get together with our Scottish friends or just the two of us. The food is gourmet level, delicious and well-presented. It’s a wee bit expensive but worth it. It’s a pretty small place, and I highly recommend reservations. Breakfast is Thursday to Sunday only, and they are closed on Monday.
Always have a great experience in Roastit bubbly jocks ! Friendly staff great service always smiling ! Don’t rush you out of restaurant, relaxing atmosphere, great food ! Just all in all a great restaurant keep up the great work guys ❤️
Overall a nice local friendly restaurant serving good quality food. A little quiet when we visited at 4pm on a Sunday.
Went here pre Glasgow Warriors match. Staff were very helpful and attentive as we were a little short on time. Food was excellent. Will definitely be back soon.
Nice place for dinner. Steaks were very tasty, although mine was a undercooked from what I asked for. My hubby enjoyed his. There’s only street parking, so we took a taxi. Desserts looked good but we were full.
This was a return visit for us. On the night we visited the place became busy very quickly so we waited quite a while for our food to arrive but no-one minded as the food is well worth the wait. Every dish that was ordered was beautifully presented and every morsel superb. The staff are efficient and friendly and happy to make recommendations if you cannot decide. The worst thing about the place is that the menu is so good it is hard to choose your meal.
Really wonderful service and food everything was perfect apart from the fact I booked in advanced and when I arrived, it was quiet which wasn’t a problem but a lot of the tables where still to be cleaned so had no choice to sit down to a table that was covered in crumbs.
Other then that everything was amazing.
