My wife were both in town from Orlando on business, found this place and we were incredibly impressed! Food was great service was great and they gave us this nice table by the window to make for a nice romantic touch
Great restaurant. We had dinner on the balcony. Very beautiful. Only recommendation is to wear insect repellent because the mosquitoes attack on the balcony. Other than that excellent!
The restaurant was superb from every aspect!
Our waiter Hadi was very nice and helped answer our menu questions very eloquently and even gave me great advice on trying the Agnolotti Porcini when I asked what pasta he would recommend. It was delicious and very earthy and had a pop of sage as well.
I tried the other 2 dishes our party had which were also phenomenal! Cappilini pomodoro (which was so flavorful with garlic) and Chicken Milanese (which was so crispy and had a lot of chicken meat as opposed to other restaurants who serve it super thin and dry).
The gentleman playing the violin in front of us was an extra bonus to the feel of the restaurant. So spectacular!
Definitely coming back and hoping to sit outside one day on the balcony!
This was our 1st time to the restaurant & was surprised how quaint & fun it was. We were seated in the back of the restaurant so we had good people watching seats. It was a bustling, lively crowd & the food was terrific. All the waiters were timely with bread, water & the delicious food. Will definitely be back.
Fabulous find! Excellent food, ambiance and service. The traveling Violinist was the cherry on top!!
Great local spot for delicious Italian food at an extremely reasonable price. Would highly recommend!
Can’t wait to come back again
Service was excellent from the beginning. Greeted at the door by management. One opened the door for me, welcomed me to the restaurant, and personally walked me to the hostess. I had a reservation, and although I was 30 minutes late, it took longer than anticipated to walk there from the metro, I was promptly seated. The wait staff were all polite and courteous. Appetizer arrived promptly after ordering and was hot. I had informed the waiter that we didn't have a lot of time because we had a show to catch at the Georgetown theater. Our main course didn't take long to prepare, was hot on arrival, a and was fantastic. I had the seafood spaghetti with marinara sauce, my sister had ravioli with green sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I had 2 glasses of white wine and my sister be had the pineapple mojito, which she says is better at Cuba Libre. All in all great experience. I recommend and will return myself
Great restaurant in Georgetown with awesome food, great service and very kid friendly. Mehdi was an awesome server and made the experience even better. Water glasses were always filled, very generous with bread, great food recommendations, friendly staff, solid beer and wine list, and the fresh pasta is some of the best we’ve had. Highly recommend this place for a fun and tasty meal!!!
Restaurant is very good but they were closed tonight unexpectedly
This restaurant serves wonderful Italian food. My husband ordered the tortellini and ate every bit of it. My chicken Marsala was very tasty. Dessert (chocolate mousse cake) was the perfect size and was delicious. And the service was very good. It was a short Uber ride from a White House area hotel.
Creative and healthy food. Excellent gluten free options.
I made the reservation for Saturday @ 10:15pm and not for 9:30pm as they said; the restaurant changed the time because they wanted to close early. They also lied saying kitchen closes @ 10:30pm; not true. Internet lists it as post theater, late dining, closing at 11:00pm on Saturday. We arrived @10:20pm, the waiters were rude, said there was no reservation. I even showed them my e-mail confirmation from Open Table stating that my reservation was made for 10:15pm
The dinner was excellent, the Tiramusu was the best I have had.
tasteless carpaccio, asparagus not fresh, pasta overcooked,
Nice location, very noisy, spotty service but overall our meals were all delicious.
Came to Restaurant' Piccolo after the theatre. Love this restaurant!
Wonderful experience, very quaint... the violinist was a nice touch to an already perfect evening.
Very nice Italian in Georgetown. Small main dining room, but very nice without being overly fancy
delicious flavors, ample portions, fairly priced and professionally served. Comparable to the finest restaurant in Milan & Florence, this place is the real deal. Leave your passport and sticker shock at home, and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Made my 'return to' list easily. A real gem!
I started with the tomato salad which was literally 3 slices of a small-ish tomato but it was very good. The special squid ink pasta with shrimp and spicy tomato sauce was amazing and so was my daughters spaghetti with tomato sauce. The service was super fast and a bit rushed. I started to get annoyed when they literally filled our water glasses every time we had a sip. Overall I thought the restaurant was very good but also expensive for what you get.
I went for dinner with friend who had previously dined there. The waiter was personable and added so much to our evening. His veal entree recommendation was much appreciated. Caesar salad was the absolute best we have ever eaten. We had a ravioli dish and veal marsala, which were both excellent as was the cheesecake.
We left there knowing we will return and tell others how great the whole dining experience was.
EXTREMELY LOUD! Couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to you. Food was good, but way to loud inside.
Very nice restaurant. The guy playing the violin was cool!
Delicious food, great service, authentic, wonderful atmosphere
Great Italian food and perfect for a date night in the beautiful and romantic Georgetown neighborhood... would definitely go back and recommend to a friend!
This restaurant was pretty good. The food was awesome and the service was great as well. They have a wonderful selection of Italian dishes and everything we tried was delightful. The ambiance and location were very nice as well. I enjoyed myself here and I would recommend to dine here.
Solid effort. Good value. Simple food executed well.
Fell down on limited desert menu. No biscotti with coffee and I had to ask for more bread. One slice with a generous saucer of oil and balsamic did not make sense.
Great food, great service, great environment! Our waiter was very helpful and kind. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for Italian food in Georgetown.
The food and service was fantastic! The staff was friendly, and the food was creative, but classic Italian at the same time. Highly recommend!
The restaurant was so great! I made a reservation on Open Table and left a comment that it was our 40th anniversary, and if possible a quiet table would be nice. They put us in the window, which was so lovely!! Private, comfy and special! They greeted us by acknowledging our special day, and it just got better from there. Our waiter (Mahdi??) was terrific, recommended a great wine, gave us great service, always checking on us. As we were ready to order dessert...SURPRISE!!...a lovely dessert arrived along with two glasses of champagne on the house!! Really, they made our night. Can't say enough about it all OH and did I mention the food was fabulous???!! Best Salmon I have had in oh so long...
Wished we lived closer, we would be back often!
Any amazing experience! Great, fresh authentic Italian fare. Cozy & quaint place. Has its own wandering minstrel ( violin player who takes requests ). We had the chicken Marsala and the penne carbonara with bacon and sausage! Great wines by the glass! This place is a must off M street in Georgetown
Took an old friend to lunch - and had a marvelous meal! Great mushroom risotto and wonderful fennel salad. Really good and authentic Italian cooking! Buon appetito!
We always enjoy our meals here. We have celebrated anniversaries, graduations, birthdays and special occasions. Love the food and the ambiance.
Great food & ambiance
Excellent pre-movie dinner. Starter of Cozze alla Parigina (mussels) was delectable. Enjoyed the Pollo al Milanese and my companion loved the grilled rockfish. Service was very attentive and friendly.
I believe this restaurant is a bit overrated; there are many options for Italian food and this was just okay. The servers were somewhat rude and the food came out in five minutes (too soon for a special occasion meal) and was not good for the price. Meh...not so impressed.
Delicious food and wonderfully friendly service!
We so wanted to like this restaurant- but unfortunately, they worked hard to disappoint all five of us.
Inattentive and brusk service, combined with food prep that ranged from just OK to inedible...
There are just too many excellent restaurants in this town to waste a meal here.
Great food, nice seat on the little balcony. Will return soon!
