Everything was amazing but have to caution people to please look at their checks... adding a service charge for 2 people and when your bill comes theirs still another section for gratuity is a very sketchy. Had appetizers at the bar first for happy and it was done and after our dinner meal was done again.
( On their menu it says automatic gratuity for 5 will be added.)
love this restaurant but my only complaint would be the amount of time you have to wait for a table even with a reservation. our reservation was for 3pm and we were not seated until almost 3:45 which was annoying but they did honor brunch pricing until 5pm for the wait.
Excelent food ,sofrito should be proud of Chef ,great view and nice decoration but in regard of customer service very poor , our waiter forget about food and drinks it was only 4 tables on the outside and he couldn't handle.
Please need more training.
First time their came all the way from Staten Island shrimp tasted old coke was no good waiter was aware of problem and told us that their been issues with the soda . What got us mad that it was me and my wife waiter brought bill to us when will looked at bill he added an 18 % percent gratuity when we asked him about it he told us that it was automatically added to bill and that it was on the menu. When we looked at the menu it said for a party of five or larger and he still brushed it and continue to push the issue like it was mandatory for a 18 percent. Also waiter was upset and got bothered that we were questioning our bill and went and was discussing it with the other waiters. Not professional at all . Don’t think we will ever return ever again To this establishment
I ordered the grilled shrimp and it was wonderful.
Service horrible but the manager fixed our bill. Beautiful restaurant and bar but the service was a 2 out of 10. Food was good but took a long time to come out
It was a beautiful Friday evening with friends. Ate great food and had an awesome view.
The service was not great at all. It took forever for the server to take our order. The food was not great either for the price we paid.
Music extremely loud. Could not hear or have a conversation with family. Rude hostess not welcoming to say the least.
Menu is Extremely LIMITED. Not much to choose from.
Took my family here for the first time and was very disappointed. As it was not a kid friendly place. Just a bunch of old hoochies looking to pick up men to buy them drinks and smoke hookah.
Food is overpriced and lacked flavor.
Ive been to many restaurants but was not impressed with Sofritos.
The best part was the view.
I would not waste my money here again.
$75 for 2 plates of food.. For that price a salad or some bread would be nice. Not to mention they take out gratuity without customer having a choice of how much they would like to tip.
I love coming here !!!!!! Great for brunch it’s like a tradition to come here
This place is amazing not only did the food was great the ambiance was wonderful and i had the most amazing time for my birthday
Service took forever, and the music was extremely loud, but the food and ambiance was good. Didn't make up for it but had its pros and cons
Great food and drinks for the price paid also beautiful views of the water. Great atmosphere will go back soon
I find the place too loud. The music was too loud so people are screaming at each other. The service was very slow. I but the food is good and big portions.
Great experience. Would return in the future
Went for 7PM dinner on a Sunday night. Biggest problem was the noise. When we went inside the music was so loud the host couldn't hear us. Not just very loud but crazy night-club loud that might cause hearing damage. We were seated outside and although quieter we were near a loudspeaker and still too loud to talk comfortably. We asked for it to be turned down but were told it was a party night. It could have been so much nicer with quiet music and the view of the GWB on a summer's night. Other problems include being served Chardonnay instead of the Sauvignon Blanc we ordered and then being told the barman insisted it was Sauvignon. Food was acceptable but not great. $140 for dinner for 2 with a glass of wine was too much for what we got. Happy to be out of there and away from the noise.
I love the food, music, and hookah , no kid allowed on brunch hours
Great place! Great view (we sat in patio area) mosquitoes were wild!!! Bring your spray! I disliked my food. I ordered the arroz con pollo and it just wasn’t what I expected. The alcapurrias were AMAZING! Their drinks were awesome! I love that they sing happy birthday to their guest with a Guiro and a Tamborine! I would def go back and try other foods.
Great food, seating was not that great.. really tight where they put us. Service was nice but was slow at the end to bring our check and forgot to tell us the menu from restaurant week was not for Saturday. Overall really great food.
We have frequented Sofrito off and on for 11+ years - from the original, to White Plains, to Sazon and now on the Riverfront. Younger crowd, which is great for energy, but it has deteriorated somewhat with the clientele. You would think a mature woman would not engage in a bathroom brawl, but alas, the mentality of the current patron has not reached that level. The DJ is great for the outdoor twerking and attention-seeking crowd, however, should be turned down somewhat for the dining crowd inside - you can't have a conversation over the music level. Food is amazing as always, and the bartenders never fail!
We had such a great time. Service was amazing and food delicious. Definitely will be going back in a couple weeks! View was everything!!
Beautiful view, attentive staff, good food. The sparkler birthday candle is the best!
Food and location were the highlight. Service was poor. Waiter never checked on us nor asked if we wanted a second cocktail.
I love Sofrito. The food is always good, good music, good ambiance. Unfortunately, my last visit wasn't as memorable. First off, I'd recommend not coming close to the kitchen close time. I think it closes at 9:30. We got there around 9:15. We were seated, placed our order with the waiter and waited for a longer than usual time for our food (it even took a long time for the appetizer to be served). Anyway, I ordered grilled pork chop and my husband ordered the fried pork chop. When the food came out, the server had the fried pork chop and an order of grilled chicken. We told him that wasn't our order, thinking he went to the wrong table, then our waiter came with the same food and said the grilled chicken was for me. My husband and I argued that we both ordered pork chop, but mines was grilled. Well, the waiter said the wouldn't be able to make my grilled pork chop so basically, I had no choice but to keep the grilled chicken. I was highly disappointed because that NOT what I wanted. The grilled chicken was bland and tasteless. He bought me black beans instead of the red that I ordered. When he came with the new beans it had no liquid, just beans. It was a horrible meal all together. He offered us drinks but it didn't make up for the meal. Then to make matters worse, when we got the bill, the grilled chicken cost more ($25) then the grilled pork chop ($22). Horrible!
Definitely didn't meet expectations. Incredible views for a place not well kept. Scuffed dirty
furniture. Staff was friendly. Such potential for location. So underwhelming.
Great ! Good atmosphere fast service beautiful views awesome food ! Must try 😋
I had an amazing time. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I will definitely come back.
I took my parents for Sunday brunch at 12pm. Fixed price. We sat outside and it was lovely. A view of GW Bridge. Servings were a fine size. Not too small. Not so big. They refill and refill your included sangria or mimosa. At 2pm they turned up the music LOUD. Fortunately, we were ready to leave. I thought I’d try them for happy hour, but now I’m hesitant, because I think it’ll be too loud for me. But I’d go back for an “early” brunch, before they turn up the music.
The food is good service is great but it is overly priced
Food was great. Ambiance was beautiful. Music was A bit loud
If you like drinking out of a plastic cup, sipping from a paper straw (ECO FRIENDLY) make your reservation now. I went on a Saturday to avoid the usual “brunch” vibe. The website boasts a Sunday Brunch nothing about Saturday, no Ala Carte menu available hence brunch it was!!!
Ok place nice view, good atmosphere, been there a couple of times, not rowdy.
The portions go beyond generous to be outrageous. This distracts from the finer qualities of culinary presentation, combinations and subtle flavors that contribute to the mystique of the culinary journey while dinning out.
If they insist on such portions they should encourage sharing and provide the untecils to facilitate it.
This was a great place for a date night or for a fun night out.
Will come again!
Great time for date night
Such a gorgeous space. Bartenders were friendly and fun. Food was overall great, sliders mediocre and so was calamari but that’s to be expected at many spots. Empanadas so delicious crust flaky and moist and carne frita so yummm. Went on happy hour on a Wednesday so it was super quiet. Bet it’s so much fun on a busier night or during brunch. Highly recommend!
Had reservations, still had to wait for 1 hour. Food was good, service was ok. Had no redbull, tequila, or beer because they had a party the day before.
In general I can not complain about the excellent food. The waitress who attended us was exlecente, but the person who received us a man of short height and bald white, with the success of a great treasure to ask a simple question, we answered up to the tone. On their website it is not explained that the menu is conditioned to a party more than 9 people, they must explain this before making the reservation! Very expensive reservation package !!
The food just took too long to arrive but everything was good and can say worth the wait
The food was a mixed bag--some of it good, some of it really didn't taste fresh. For the price tag on their menu, you would expect a higher quality standard, but it looks like that money goes to pay the electric bill. The restaurant is pretty to look at but it leaves much to be desired.
Our service wasn't necessarily unpleasant, but simple things like eye contact when handing a menu or being available for additional purchases go a long way.
