My overall experience was really good! Met up with a few girlfriends and we had a great time. We arrived early for our reservation and requested to be seated if at all possible and they were very accommodating! The waitress was great and the decor was super cute. I can't comment on how good the drinks were because I had a beer & a shot. The food was pretty average. Never the less I would recommend it to certain friends since we had a very time.
Very fun atmosphere for those who are looking for a good time. Younger crowd, loud music, great for a Friday night out. Loved the experience! Very strong drinks. Food was ok, expensive for portions but not bad. Going to rooftop after dinner was really nice, there’s also a bar on the rooftop. It was crowded but nothing you wouldn’t expect in nyc on a Friday night. Still a very pleasant crowd & experience. Really enjoyed my 21st birthday here
I love this place, it was very loud though. The tacos were perfection of course and the churros were the best I have ever had.
Fun happy hour. The spicy mescal margarita was delicious
Wayyyyy too loud. As a restaurant, music amplitude should support the food experience not overwhelm it. Food just good; so many Mex restaurants to choose from, many with more interesting fare. Kudos on the fresh quac. My initial server was sullen at the end of his shift. His replacement offered a vastly enhanced notion of contentment. I would return for the mezcal Bloody Mary with a side of guac but not with someone with whom I wished to converse.
The live DJ was so loud to the point that it was very uncomfortable.
Everyone from the hostess to the bartenders, waitresses, DJ and cleaners were welcoming and amazing! We had an amazing time celebrating my significant other’s birthday! Everyone was awesome.
We had a surprise 50th birthday party at Vida verde and the staff were great and helped us pull it off without a hitch! Food and cocktails were excellent. Would definitely go again. I missed the rooftop but others said it was great too.
The music was GROTESQUELY loud. We were told it was because there was a DJ working a party but it has been loud before too. It was deafening, just an unacceptable noise level.
Great environment and friendly staff. I would recommend the girl that stands at the door ( she seems to be Loss Prevention) to be more approachable and friendly with costumers.
Great first experience. I will definitely be a repeat diner.
Always a great time if you can get a table!
Good place to vibe. Food and drinks are a little too expensive for portion size and flavor.
The table we had was too small to sit for 10 person.
The restaurant's deco is beautifully colorful. They have nice murals and little details that are welcoming and give a spark of happiness to the place. The hostess are friendly and accommodate you quickly upon your arrival.
The music varies between different genres; however, if you are looking to have a nice dinner to talk, this may not be the best place to do so since the volume of the music is very high.
I've been there three times. For the first two times, the food was amazing and I kept coming back, then the third time, we tried the guacamole with pork belly, and we didn't like it that much. It was very greasy. So we recommend the plain guac better. The tacos are also good as well as the quesadillas.
They do have vegetatian options as well.
The drink are good, but a somewhat overpriced.
And finally, it's best to make a reservation since the place gets busy.
Recommend this place for the vibe , food , drinks and rooftop .Loved it !!!
It was my birthday weekend, and my friends and I had such a wonderful time here!! The food for brunch (I got the enchiladas and my boyfriend got the Mexican poutine) was amazing! Everyone was super friendly & they gave us shots for my birthday! The dj came on around 1:30 or so and he did a great job! Highly recommend the blueberry coconut margarita as well. Thank you! We’ll definitely be back!!!
I loved this place and their food was amazing! I’ll def be coming back.
The food tasted great but it was too pricey for the amount and quality compared to equally good Mexican restaurants like El Centro in Hell’s Kitchen. Even though the waitress was very kind to us we felt rushed, she kept asking if we were done even though we were still eating. I don’t know why you ask on your website if there is a special occasion, because i specify it was a birthday and still didn’t get any special offerings. I had to ask the waitress for a cake. It would be nice that if you ask things like that for the host and waiter to be aware and make it somehow special.
The food portions were very small. My $15 quesadilla was thin, luke warm, and only about the size of half an average quesadilla. The $11 elote, is 1 ear of corn cut into thirds. And our $20 punch bowl was about 20oz of liquid with a lot of juice and a little alcohol. Our food came out quick but we waited 20 minute for our drink to come out and they were kind to offer us complimentary shots for the wait. However, since the food portions were so small, we ended up going out to a pub immediately after we left to get more food. All in all, the food was mediocre, the ambiance was interesting inside but the rooftop bar (which you can’t eat at our reserve for small parties) is MUCH smaller in person than in pictures. Save your money and spend it on better food, better prices and better ambiance and service.
This place is cute and the food was good. The drinks was also good. Would visit again.
The place and ambiance were great. Service was really bad waiters were very very rude.
The food and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the frozen margaritas, street corn, and fish tacos.
We were a group of 8 and went early on a Friday evening pre-show at the Neil Simon theater which was only 3 blocks away. The restaurant was packed. Very loud on the first floor, not quite as loud on the second floor. We had an excellent waiter who was attentive and engaging. The frozen margaritas were as advertised - very smooth. Tableside guac, chicken enchiladas, and cauliflower tacos were all very good. Didn't seem to be any heat in anything though.
Was a fun place
Restaurant didn't have reservation I made 2 weeks ago.
The food and service were excellent, but their reservation policy is intolerable. They only sit you if your entire party is there, otherwise they make you wait (even if you tell them that you’re ready to order for the people who are on their way).
The service was great, but the hostess was terrible I had just been here for lunch 2 weeks prior and had no issues. Today the hostess “greeted” us with a scowl and told us it was 21+. I replied that that is only after 4 and it is only 1:45. She then asked if we had a reservation. We did. Then she kept telling us about the age limit. We sat down after a bit if back and forth. When we were leaving at 2 she was also denying someone for being underage with her mom. I tried to help but I’m not sure it did anything. Beware with kids of any age other than over 21. On a positive note the food and servers are excellent!!!
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT , TACO PORTIONS WERE SMALL BUT VERY GOOD. DRINKS WERE REALLY GOOD (PRICEY) BUT BARTENDERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND ENERGETIC. MUSIC WAS REALLY GOOD.
This place was fun. Wasn't the best boozy brunch in my opinion but it was enjoyable with a nice rooftop.
Food was excellent as well as service
It had good drinks and a very fun decor. Order an appetizer if you're hungry because the entrees are tiny! We ended up buying more food at our next stop.
Pretty cool place. Very nice looking. Drink menu leaves much to be desired but it was fun. Waitstaff was excellent.
It was hard to get the waiters’ attention here and there but I’d still be coming back, loved the vibe!
The food and atmosphere was phenomenal. The fact that the wait staff kept changing and I had to ask each of the three servers for ice before I received it was annoying. They were not busy just not paying attention.
I would definitely go back but I had to state my beef.
Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. My wife and I came in for a show and dinner, to me the best part was the dinner. Food was excellent, had the streak burrito as well as the EMPANADAS DE HONGO. The margaritas were on the money. The ambience was great very colorful. Can't wait to come back and hope the weather is better so we can eat on the roof top.
Great place in the city, if only the music was not as loud as it was (felt like a night club), it was impossible to keep the conversation going as you barely could hear a person across you. But the ambiance of the place was great, the food was ok, the service was amazing!
The atmosphere of this place is amazing, very young & energetic. I loved the colorful decor and art. The food was decent, we ordered a few small plates, they didn't blow me away though. I expect this place mostly focuses on their bar, which makes sense. We got a pitcher of margs and they were delicious and strong. We went here before going to a broadway show, it was the perfect location.
The restaurant was nice with a great rooftop deck. Our server was fine just not very friendly.
Fun colorful place with a cool vibe! Although the menu looks very casual, the food was quite good. The layout of the place is very hip and offers both young and old and great time!
