I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambience, and service at this elegant restaurant.
Best Thai sushi in South Florida.
Wayne was our server and he was perfect! Knew just what we needed. I forgot to thank the sushi chefs before we left. The sushi here is always top notch. My fav place for sushi.
We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening 6:30 pm. The restaurant was almost completely empty, not a good sign for me but as the night got later it definitely picked up in business.
We started with the Shrimp Shumai which was flavorless and very mushy even after being pan fried. Later found out from the server, they are frozen prior to cooking. The one (1) shrimp in each dumpling was no larger than a salad shrimp. Our entrees included Sushi combo for one, Tempura Shrimp with vegetables & Thai Chicken with Volcano sauce. Sushi was a hit, Tempura Shrimp was exactly what was to be expected and the Chicken entree was average. The volcano sauce tasted of a spicy fruit flavor and had no taste of any garlic, the first ingredient listed in the sauce.
Service & atmosphere was nice. Some prices are higher on the restaurant menu than shown on the website, reasonable for the area but not necessarily for all food.
Our food at Asia Bay exceeded our expectation. There were four of us and we all had the Seafood Pad Thai special. It was delicious and each portion was enough for 3 meals. Although the food was really good, this dining experience missed out on being a 5 star experience because our server was very bad. He did not take drink orders, forgot to bring us eating utensils, and probably entered our order late as we got our food about an hour after we had arrived. At the end, he also mixed up the credit cards for several of my table-mates. Apparently, this individual had been at the restaurant for 10 years. I hope he just had an off night, otherwise negating his performance this restaurant was a treat. The food more than made up for the waiters inadequacies.
The shrimp had an aweful taste & texture.
The really bad part is we had the Shrimp In A Blanket & I had Shrimp Red Curry. I left most of the shrimp, but the rest of it was good. The Thai Iced Tea also had an awful taste, but they apologized stating they were making a new tea. Got the new ones which were mostly cream. We normally enjoy Asia Bay so we will be there again.
The food was outstanding. We ordered sushi and it was fresh
Not overstuffed with rice and delicious. Our waiter was fun and really recommended good dishes! Will definitely go back! Sat on the patio side.
We found the restaurant to be very nice, service was very good, two of the menus were not up to par for the prices charged.
We went because we saw some pics of the sushi rolls on Yelp.
Our server, a gentleman from Germany, was very nice and took good care of us.
We had the Sunset roll. And the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both were ... filling.
Great food and drinks. Nice staff and excellent service.
Outside ambiance was nice, I was glad that we were not inside as I would not have enjoyed it as much.
Our order got delayed due to an issue in the kitchen. It took a while for the server to let us know (we were just noticing that we had been waiting a while on our main course. Waitress was apologetic and provided free dessert. So we appreciated that.
Service was horribly slow. Under staffed and got asked if I was their for Uber eats when I walked in
We love ASIA Bay. Food is consistently good; the staff are great and take care of us.
One of my worst dining experience. The food was terrible, tasted stale. Had to return soup as it had a sour, stale taste. I have been here before and my previous experience was much better which is why I came back. But this will be my last visit. Was totally disappointed.
Excellent food and our server was amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great creative sushi. Top tier quality.
As always, my experience exceeded expectations! Our server was Renee and she was absolutely awesome and bubbly and friendly and she catered to us so well. Literally every time I go here my experience is amazing. Also, Kurt is an absolutely amazing manager! I love when we go there and he’s there! This restaurant delivers such excellent customer service which is hard to find now a days, trust me. Will definitely be coming back again and again! <3
Excellent service & location. Loved everything we ordered
This place had amazing ambiance, food, and service! The best asian food we have ever had! 100% recommend!
Excellent meal, good service - however, the waitress should have mentioned that the appetizer we started with (forgot the name) is basically the same as one of the dishes we ordered. Although it was delicious, we would have enjoyed something different. Of course the sashimi platter was beyond perfection!
Terrible service. Prepare to wait and wait to get any cocktails or food. Over the course of 45 minutes, 3 different workers stopped by the table. We would order and then nothing would come. No cocktails and no food. Then another worker would stop by to take our order. There did not seem to be a particular waiter assigned to us. There also did not seem to be enough waiters. Clearly the result of incompetent management.
Had a wonderful experience at first. Very charismatic waiter and wonderful appetizers. I have an avocado allergy, it’s not as serious as it was as a child but still bad enough to cause welts and swelling in my mouth and face. I made it very clear to the waiter that I had this allergy and he said he would inform the chef. I iterated that it’s fine for my food to be prepared in the same area, but I could not have any avocado in my meal. Halfway through my sushi roll I looked and saw what I thought was avocado. As someone who doesn’t eat it I really didn’t know what it tasted like. My boyfriend ate it and it was quite clear that there was avocado. My mouth swelled and when we told the waiter he became combative and flippant, saying he’d go talk to the chefs but there’s no way it was his fault. I’m fine, but honestly if my allergy was any worse, or got forbid a deadly allergy like it very well could have been, this could have ended very badly. Handled very poorly.
Asia Bay is a favorite Las Olas spot. We love the outdoor seating. Our food was fantastic! Between the six of us, we had Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup - both great! A sushi roll - very fresh. Three pad thai dishes plus two curry dishes. Again - all good! Only one small hiccup....one gal ordered her pad thai with no spice/mild, and it came out as a medium and was way too hot for her. I can tolerate hot and medium is plenty spicy. Alfred is an efficient and friendly server. BONUS: they offer a full bar now!
Way too expensive for the quality & service. $300 for 3 of us - each only had 1 drink. Not worth it.
Great food and ambiance
Enjoyed a wonderful sushi dinner with my daughter by the water. Highly recommend the soft shell crab and coconut shrimp as appetizers. Our rolls were made fresh. Would come back here next time we’re in Ft. Lauderdale
Very just amazing food and atmosphere
This place was pretty good! I had the tom kha soup and a thai noodle dish. My friend had some sushi. Overall the food was decent and the service was awesome. A little overpriced for the quality, though.
Food was very good
We sat outside under umbrellas which was lovely . It started to rain and the staff could Not have been more accommodating . They moved our tables to ensure we were covered and offered To relocate us inside . The food and service were excellent . Would highly recommend !
Service was so slow. It wasn’t that busy and it was a Friday night. We sat for 2 hours because we were waiting for our food not because we were enjoying our meal. When we finally got our sushi it was absolutely delicious but the wait was too long.
Lobster and shrimp pad Thai! Need I say more? Outstanding food on the canal with nice atmosphere, great for foodies and folks in search of a great find.
The service was horrific and the food was average. Not worth it at all. The one is Bal Harbour is so much better
After finding out that the chef was from Thailand, I ordered a Thai dish, Drunken Noodles! It was flaborful and good to the last bite!! My friend orderd sushi and enjoyed it and reported the fish is so fresh.
Food was mediocre, ambiance non-existent.
Came highly recommended but failed to live up to expectations!
Great service and great food ! I would definitely go back and recommend to a friend.
We had the Tuna Lover and Mexican rolls and they were fantastic. Wayne really took care of us.
The food was really good and our server was excellent
Food and service was good , but the ambiance wasn’t that great as the picture in website.
