Food lacked flavour and was quite plain. A sterile environment in a suburban high rise, next to a burger joint with a view of the road. Not at all high end dining or anything to recommend. Not at all my memory of E’cco from years back.

We haven’t dined at e'cco Bistro since the move to Newstead - very nice premises. We went for the three-course lunch menu, which had two choices for each course. My wife and I chose differently in all courses, so we sampled the whole menu. All excellent, and good value for money. The wine list was nicely curated.

A great dining experience as always at E'cco. From starters to mains - amazing food - a few ingredients beautifully executed and presented. Oysters with white balsamic granita, white asparagus and spanner crab linguini were all simply stunning. Steaks and duck breast mains were also superb according to my dining partners. Staff were attentive and professional. It's our special occasion venue and never disappoints.

Love Ecco and have been returning for years. Set course menu is inventive and fantastic, although felt the quality of the food was not as good this time as it has been previously. Might have just been on this night and will certainly return and recommend to others.

We had the degustation menu. Exceptional! Each course was beautifully balanced and the matched wines brought it to perfection. Service was among some of the best service we have ever had in a restaurant. Phillip, you should be proud of your talented and friendly team.

Had a dinner at Ecco Bistro. It was pleasant to receive anniversary congratulations from the staff - very thoughtful. The food was outstandingly delicious. For every course we were offered a pairing wine which didn’t disappoint. Purebred wagyu steak was absolutely amazing. Every dish was beautifully served and the staff were very caring and attentive. Great atmosphere, open kitchen space, this place has many reasons to name themselves one of the best fine dining restaurants in Brisbane. Will be coming back.

Oysters outstanding; and well presented; we both chose the bugs; in this case a gentle and careful dish rather than a dramatic cooking style; a delightful wine list quite short and therefore easy to use and well chosen but a wine lover would probably want wines from some other areas as well. We will certainly come back soon. Engaging waitress made us feel welcome.

Excellent food as usual. We enjoyed the variety in sampling the 4 course. Very attentive staff without being pushy One minor issue i forgot to mention was that the table wobbled slightly.

Car parking can be difficult but we were fortunate to find what seemed to be the last spot available when we visited for a Birthday lunch. The staff were very welcoming and efficient from the moment we entered the restaurant. We chose the set menu for lunch and it was delicious. Wine selection was very good and prices competitive. We were especially pleased with the level of table service and would mention that the noise level was perfect for table conversation.

E'cco presents perhaps the best food that can be put before you in Brisbane - we had the 5 course degustation and highly recommend it. Amazing flavours pair with an excellent wine list, grown-up cocktails, and engaging service. What's not to like?

E’cco has been our favourite restaurant when visiting Brisbane for over 20 years. Philip and his team never fail to deliver a perfect blend of delicious flavours without overcomplicating, while Mary overseas attention to detail front of house with such warmth and passion. We will return soon.

The first course was excellent Second so and so Meat was nit a 9 Plus as I have 500 head at my farm and I know well what it’s a 9 plus Sweets were very sweet specially the second course. Friendly staff , all in all atmosphere good.

The food and location was great. The service was incredibly slow (and it wasn’t overly busy). We were there two hours and we had only received 2 out of the 5 meals we had ordered. We eventually complained and they tried to rush the last 3 meals but the home experience was around 3 hours. They also discounted some cocktails to help which was appreciated.

We had a seat at the counter, looking directly into the kitchen. Fascinating watching a professional staff quietly in action. Wonderful two and a half hours of fine dining looked after by friendly interactive floor staff. Good food and good wine.
