The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.
The food was soooo good! I have eaten there a couple times in the past few years and it was consistent with how I remembered it!!! What a pleasure !
Amazing food. Our server was amazing and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She even recommend a non-menu item that was epic: Old World Spaghetti with mushrooms!!
Serifina is always good and a delightful atmosphere. One of our favorites!
Food was out of this world. I don’t like the 20% service fee they add to the check but everyone in Seattle is doing it. Sucks it doesn’t all go to your wait staff
This restaurant is a gem-excellent food, terrific service and great ambiance. We have dined there three times in the last month and each experience was consistently great.
Great service. Love the quality of the standards on the menu. The room could use a refresh. Seriously.
The food was excellent. The service was understated and attentive. Knowledgeable and attentive wait staff mad the experience well worth it.
always a magic experience. not sure how they do it
A+++ so delicious
Summer dinner in the terrace- really special!
Serafina is one of my favorite places. Always great food and service. I have been going to this establishment for decades now and never been disappointed.
My wife and I had an early dinner for our wedding anniversary. We were seated inside by a window. Although it was happy hour and the bar was very noisy, we were away from the crowd. Service was great. Our servers were very attentive but didn't hover.
My wife's pesce di giorno, scallops, was extraordinary. Pricey but worth it.
I had the baked eggplant. It was good but nothing special.
Serafina has a lovely setting both indoors and out, with a food menu and wine list of reasonably priced options for a nicer Seattle restaurant. We had stellar service, from the host who greeted us and allowed us to select a table location, to the knowledgeable and fun waiter, to the staff person who encouraged us to stay late and enjoy ourselves even as the restaurant was about to close. Food recommendations: house-made lasagna with béchamel sauce, grilled octopus appetizer.
We are temporarily in Seattle for the summer as I recovering from surgery. We happened to pass by and it caught our attention. We have been back twice. Love it all! Servers, food, everything.
Thanks for a memorable dining experience (s)
We sat on the patio and even though the tables are quite close together it felt quiet and private. The food, as usual, was very fine. And the service was top notch.
Everytime we dine here, it is outstanding food and a great wine selection. The Somm was very helpful and put us onto a very fine wine at a reasonable price. The Charcuterie platter was amazing and the Melanzanne (baked eggplant) was the best we’ve ever had.
Wonderful ambiance with outstanding service. Enjoyed every moment from when we arrived until we left. Diverse menu items prepared wonderfully. We sat outside on the patio and had a private table off to the side which was shaded and sheltered, perfect for the occasion and conversation
Serafina is our go-to place for an always outstanding meal. The special menu is always inventive and interesting with the regular menu items calling to previously enjoyed visits. Always graciously served making the guests feel comfortable and at home. If you can sit outside in the courtyard the experience is only better.
What to say, except go and enjoy.
We were wedding dress shopping for my daughter and had lunch here between our appointments. We sat at a table on their beautiful patio and had a delicious lunch. It was a perfect addition to our wonderful day!
Patio was perfect for us.
The food was good - service excellent. I wish you had more vegan options. Most of your pastas are made with egg (the waiter said) and my vegan guest was able to have only one kind with a very plain tomato sauce.
Sat on the patio, nice evening. The Plin is outstanding. Service was great.
Have not dined here in several years, and was looking forward to taking our visiting nephew and his wife to celebrate their 10th anniversary as it is so lovely. Service was very good, but food was very disappointing, especially at this price point. Seasonal special Teres Major had undercooked potatoes, asparagus past their prime, and meat that lacked flavor. Husband's pork chop was nicely cooked but with skinny, tough asparagus (seriously? Serve fresh veggies or change up the menu!!). Lasagna was a loose blob: very tomato-y and acidic; otherwise flavorless and basically insubstantial. Bisteca ($48) was borderline overcooked.
Would perhaps recommend for HH, as it is still a very beautiful setting, but very unimpressive dining.
We dined in the outdoor patio area which is charming and quiet. The quintessential summer venue! Seafood was delicious and serving size generous. Highly recommend!
Beautiful evening so we sat on the patio, which was lovely and enjoys beautiful landscaping. Terrific ambiance and the service was excellent. Two of us had the specials which were outstanding. I requested a spicy pasta dish I loved that is no longer on the menu and the chef happily obliged. It was delicious and a memory in the making. Pastas are superb.
We are regulars and recently I tried the bruschetta and I love it! Everything is always great and service is always top notch. The bartenders are terrific if you want to hang at the bar area also. Meet your friends and sit in lovely patio for.a fun night!
It’s our number one place to go!
We went to the restaurant early on a Friday evening with reservations at 5:30 and had appetizers and sampled three different dishes and it was all wonderful. The sommelier was very well informed and provided good notes on choice of wine based on food and our server Jonah was outstanding. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Fabulous food and great service with lovely ambiance inside or outside.
I have always thought that Serafina is a hidden gem in Seattle that does not get as much appreciation as it deserves. The food quality is amazing and the combination of flavors follows the statement accordingly.
Excellent, friendly, and fast service.
Entrees we had which were lasagna and eggplant were delicious, but I didn't see too many other entrees we would like for next time. That is why I gave it 4.5, not a 5.
A nice lunch with the Spring Prix fixed menu. We also had the Polpo (octopus) which was illegally good. I could have had another order. The Limone salad is a bit of a play on a Caesar Salad. I also had the Rigatoni Bolognese- all exceptional- as always.
Would have been 5 stars, but the salad and mains all came together and the wine lagged both by a considerable time.
The food was great and the deck is charming, but unfortunately smoke from the kitchen blew onto the deck on and off. We are sensitive to smoke, so that was an issue.
We love everything about Serafina, but tonight the server was especially skillful.
Best Italian food in Seattle and great staff all around.
One of our favorite Seattle Italians, especially with out-of-town guests. The only downside is noise.
One of the top 3 date night restaurants in Seattle. So, so good.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with our son and daughter-in-law on a beautiful Saturday night. Everything was perfect.
Friendly and attentive service. Well crafted cocktails. Outstanding food. Personal favorite was the rigatoni bolognese. Gnocchi with rabbit was outstanding.
Very good experience: meal, attention and ambiance. We sat outside in the courtyard which is very pleasant on a nice evening. The service was well-paced, not rushed, which also made it for a pleasant, relaxed visit. The food was excellent. Overall - we highly recommend it.
