Sarabeth's Central Park South
“Not just for Brunch.” "Not for many, many years now, and certainly not on Central Park South,” comments Frank Bruni of the New York Times about our wonderful dinner menu. Join us for an evening meal and reverse your thinking - Sarabeth's for Dinner.
Dock's Oyster Bar and Jane are the sister restaurants to Sarabeth's.
Loved this place. Loads of atmosphere, food amazing, especially for brunch. Loved the french toast with maple syrup. Don’t forget to have one of the daily champagne cocktails. Very busy and very New York.
I love Sarabeth’s - it’s a staple for brunch everyone I’m in the city! The bread basket is amazing and the cocktails are always delicious.
Past it’s prime
Vacation in NYC
Good for breakfast! Lemon ricotta pancakes are my favorites.
The food was mediocre for everyone at our table. Service was great!
Best Buttermilk Pancakes ever, we also have the Salmon benedict eggs, really good!
Waitress was very nice and the food is very good but the hostesses at the front are somewhat rude.
Great! So thankful the waiter and chef accommodated our son’s allergy. So glad we booked a table in advance. Line out the door!
Pre-theater on NY weekend
My wife and I were visiting Central Park and this restaurant Sarabeth’s was recommended.
The food was great!
Pedí los benedictinos con salmón y no se veían frescos, la verdad dejo mucho que desear la calidad de los alimentos
Breakfast choices were limited and lacking flair. Muffin served on same plate as Fritatta which is odd. Really poor coffee, flat white too hot, with no crema. If a restaurant specialises in Breakfast surely coffee and croissant aroma would be the first thing to meet you? Really lacklustre.
Found the food expensive, no price for coffee on the menu $5 for an Americano! Service was a little underwhelming, they were keen to move us out!
I was visiting New York with my two 18 year old granddaughters and wanted to take them to a nice restaurant to celebrate their birthday.
The setting was lovely. But things went downhill from there. The waiter was not especially attentive. Then when the food arrived my short rib dinner and my granddaughters flat iron steak dinner were both tough. My salad and dessert were good. All in all it was a little disappointing to spend 170.00 on dinner when the meats were not of very high quality and tough.
I could not recommend the restaurant to friends.
Great food and great service. The kids meals were even outstanding. Sarabeth’s is a quality dining experience..
Excellent food and was one of our cheaper meals in NYC. Quaint and quiet atmosphere.
We had a great table and some of us took part in the restaurant week menu. The food was amazing and we got wonderful service by Daniel!
We had a reservation and were seated right away. One person in our party is vegan, and they were gracious about modifying a menu item in the way we requested for her. Unfortunately we found the food to be very bland. We had $33 lobster rolls which were basically some cold lobster in a hot dog bun with potato chips and a bit of cole slaw. The mac and cheese was flavorless. Our own invention for the vegan eater was basically inedible (not their fault) and they did not charge us for it, which we appreciated. In the end it was over $100 for simple meals for 3 people that went mostly uneaten because they were flavorless. We would not return.
Food was great, but service was awful. We were seated at a quiet time, around 4:30pm. There were only a few people dining. We were seated, and then waited 15 minutes before being addressed. We did see plenty of staff walk by and continue walking by. Service did not pick up from there.
We ordered "PROSCUITTO&BURRATA 18 cherry tomato, avocado, cilantro", which arrived w/ NO proscuitto. We asked why there was no proscuitto, and we were told that that the "dish was not on the menu, it was on an early time menu, not the Late Lunch menu. I replied to our waiter that we should have been told that when I ordered. The waiter left, but he he returned a few minutes later. I then did show the waiter the menu which called up on my iPhone. The waiter then left, and I assume he read the menu. A few minutes later he came back and offered to bring another dish, but it seemed without proscuitto still??? We were well into the dish that was served, and it was excellent. We passed, but I believe that bringing out some proscuitto would have gone a long way. Worst part of the situation was being called out for ordering something NOT on the menu. First, why would you take an order for something not on the menu and next call out a customer for ordering something not on menu which reflects you do not know your menu.
Also in regard to "Proscuitto & Burrata there were no cherry tomatoes and there was an egg on top, which were not big concerns, but some dishes could be better labeled or described, like the Velvety Cream of Tomato Soup, which is "CHUNKY" with a dollop of some type of cheese/sour cream in the middle and top with chives or parsley (chunky tomatoes and chives) were not desired in a "Velvety Cream of Tomato Soup". Still, the burrata & avocado with the egg on bread tasted fantastic.
Last, the water server topped off my daughter's lemonade with water, picked the wrong glass. I called him on it, he just left. There was NO apology or new lemonade until I requested from the waiter.
Have been to Sarabeth's on my last 3 visits to NYC! Such a wonderful place - love the ambiance and food. Highly recommend it - make a reservation or you may have to wait.
We went here on a recommendation and I was a little underwhelmed. The food was decent (jalapeño omelet and pancakes) but nothing to write home about... and very expensive for what it was. I’m sure there are better breakfasts around. Sorry!
Really nice meal with the family. The one Burger is to die for and the waitress was really nice and friendly. But really $150 for 3 Burgers and a chicken meal, two desserts and one alcoholic drink is too much!
Sarabeth’s is always great! The food is excellent and the service impeccable. Everyone is very friendly!
Pancakes not freshly made, room needs updating, toilet area needs decorating, staff unpleasantly challenging on grAtuity
AMAZING. The best breakfast in the city hands down. The experience was amazing and the food was spectacular. We loved it so much we booked for the next two days.
We had an ham and cheese omelet and the French toast. Both items were delicious. They didn’t advertise that they had a full barista and so we all ordered plain coffee instead of getting what we wanted (cappuccino and iced coffee). We later found out about the full coffee options. :(
The restaurant was very busy and crowded for a Monday morning.
We came here on a Monday morning around 9:30 am. The food was phenomenal. The lemon ricotta pancakes are a must. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to NYC.
Excellent food and service, highly recommended, very friendly staff but somewhat limited menu.
food is delicious and service is very excellent, will recommend friend.
Love the food at Sarabeth’s. It is a must when visiting NYC. The lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing !
Usually, Sarabeth's is mobbed at lunch time. Luckily for us, it was not crowded at all inside, and we had our choice of tables. We ordered their summer special drink, Watermelon & Strawberry Mimosas, and that was the start of a lovely lunch.
I had the most delicious crab toast as an appetizer, and a fish fillet as a main dish. The fish wasn't as tasty as the crab, which was served cold with large chunks of crab on a thick piece of bread. My friend had a large sandwich (can't recall what it was) with humongous fry chips on the side, and an order of apple meat sausage on the side. She enjoyed hers very much, too. They certainly serve ample portions.
Our waiter was charming, the place was quiet so we could have a conversation without shouting and the food was very good. Who can ask for anything more?
Good location, good food, and good service. Will come back. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic restaurant! We always eat at Sarabeth’s when we come into town. It is delicious. Must try the crab cake Benedict and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.
We were in NYC for 3 full days and visited Sarabeth’s twice. It’s a staple for us on every trip.
I really enjoy food and lively atmosphere at Sarabeth. The staff was kind and considerate.
