Nour is built on a dream of presenting classic Lebanese flavors in a fresh, exciting way. Who said falafel has to roll to the same old beat, meal after meal? Why does eggplant only get to hang out smashed with tahini? Don’t you think the humble vine leaf deserves to encase a little mystery once in a while? At Nour we use an unrestricted approach to create food that is vibrant and bold, yet familiar and comfortable

Nour Ratings and Reviews
Our starters and mains were taken away before we had finished.
The venue is lovely but I felt like the staff were a little rude, bordering on pretentious.
The servings were very small, I we needed every bite so I nearly screamed when not only our starters but also mains were cleared before we had finished and while there was clearly food left on most of the dishes.
The food was tasty but over-priced for the small portions.
I’m glad I tried it but wouldn’t go back. I noticed it wasn’t very busy when I was there, which was surprising for a Sunday lunchtime in Dec. I wonder if others have experienced similar disappointment.
Although food was good the prices where just silly. I’m not all that price conscious but a actually felt ripped off which I really haven’t felt before. The small share plates were three single bites which were tiny. We had a lot of veggie based things and each was around $25. For 6 people we need 2 of each small plate so it was $50. It just felt not generous and annoying. With hardly any alcohol, as we had a few teenagers, and not particularly big eaters with many veggie dishes and no dessert the bill was over $100 per person. We don’t have huge appetites but everyone was still hungry after We left and we went down the road for ice cream. Even though the food was good the experience left us with a bad taste. You can charge hefty prices just don’t be so mean.
The staff is very friendly, helpful and polite. The food is super tasty and well presented on the plate and by the waiter.
The wine list offer a great option of cocktails (we had lycee and Nana and they were superb!!), and a selection of wine very interesting and accurate.
The setting, the design and the music make everything more original and exciting, a great place to enjoy some Lebanese food with friends or family!
Thank you Nour we will be back soon!!
Our experience at Nour was incredible. The service was impeccable and we especially loved the greek wine recommended by our waiter. I have already told many friends that this is our next go to restaurant. The ambience is buzzing and the professional energy around the room was impressive. Thank you Nour for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.
The food was superb. The staff were very polite. The overall service however in terms of timing was not good. In fact very disappointing. From the moment our reserved table wasn’t ready, we we’re often having to chase things up. That said, the staff were apologetic and always courteous, however it’s the service issues that would make us hesitant to go back.
I have dined at Nour before and my experience that time was fantastic. The food was amazing however I feel our table was forgotten. I had to ask for our mains after or entrees came and we were still waiting over half hour. They were great and apologised and put our order to the front of the queue and then gave us some free sides and desert. This was lovely however then there was way too much food. I also asked for a table at the front window if possible and nothing was said to me when they placed us at a table between the bar and the kitchen which every waiter that came out of either area never checked or looked at our table.
Lunch date, seated after early arrival.
Waiter was attentive and explained the dishes perfectly. Cocktails were impressive and unique. The hummus with goat was very tasty. Could have had two!
The styling of the restaurant is gorgeous. Very girly! Rose gold/pink. Prefect location for a hens lunch, Mother's Day, sisters lunch.
Loved Nour for a Friday evening dinner. We sat up at the kitchen counter and were treated like royalty. Food and cocktails were absolutely outstanding. Excellent food with a middle eastern leaning, fresh ingredients and beautifully served. We will definitely return.
The food was of a good quality and interesting. I particularly enjoyed the octopus and camel entrees. Wine was ok without delivering any stand outs. The service was friendly but we had to ask for drinks and the bill a couple of times, despite it being a bit particularly busy week night. At the price we wanted a bit more primping!
We love Nour! Had our first experience there for our anniversary a few months ago. We were so impressed that we brought friends with us the last time - they loved it as well. Great food, fab service and a funky location in Surry Hills.
Would definitely recommend!
Firstly I could book a table. We don't go places you can't book, just time wasting.
There is a small bar area but our table was available so sat straight down. Our waiter was friendly and informative. After looking at the menu and deciding we could eat it all, we opted for the banquet. We chose the 2 mains we wanted and the rest was up,to them. All the door deliscious and plenty of it! We had a party of 5 , one GF and they accommodated that requirement happily.
I would definitely go back. Not cheap with drinks as well, but totally worth a visit.
We met friends here for dinner, the evening was pleasant enough I didn't really find this restaurant great value, all food was delicious but servings were teeny tiny, even for Sydney standards, we tried to get small plates and share which was impossible, the servings were almost ridiculous, 1 small slice of Haloumi in the Honey figs, even dishes that are normally large and great for sharing like hummus, it was about a tablespoon of hummus with one small piece of bread and wine list is confusing as well with a 500ml price listed where a bottle price would normally be, overall I would say delicious food but we all went somewhere after to get another meal to fill us up
