Nour is built on a dream of presenting classic Lebanese flavors in a fresh, exciting way. Who said falafel has to roll to the same old beat, meal after meal? Why does eggplant only get to hang out smashed with tahini? Don’t you think the humble vine leaf deserves to encase a little mystery once in a while? At Nour we use an unrestricted approach to create food that is vibrant and bold, yet familiar and comfortable

Delicious selection of very creative dishes - Middle Eastern food like you’ve never seen it before - highly recommended.

One of the best meals and cocktails that I've had in Sydney in a long time. Beautiful service and gorgeous interiors too.

Loved loved the food. Service was great. A little off putting having a couple making out practically at the bar but not the restaurants fault. Perhaps patrons can find a better place for that.

Food looked amazing but lacked the flavour punch. All round a beautiful venue and despite flavour I will return again.

All in the details. Some minor changes really could have made a 5* experience. The restaurant is beautiful, well laid out and nicely lit (not a dark place where you cannot see the food).
We sat at a round table at the back, after a few minutes realised that the chairs were really not very comfortable and very slippery to sit on. The booth tables do look comfortable and the chairs with high backs have a seat pad, but the smaller round tables and the long table in the separate room out the back don’t have any padding and the base of the table we were at was so large it was actually hard to get close enough to the table without sliding on the chair.
The menu is designed to ‘share’ although this is a little confusing. I would say the mains are designed to be shared and do have the perfect amount of sides that a side salad isn’t really necessary. We had the lamb shoulder, it is absolutely delicious fall off the bone and tasty! But the small plates/starters don’t lend themselves to being shared; for example the chicken bits is two serves and not really enough to split with more people than that. The figs and haloumi has 2 figs and 1 piece of haloumi. Although the flavour was beautiful and balanced they are more suited to individual entree servings than being shared.
We had great service and were never left waiting or looking around for help. The kitchen was quick and I think the wait time was very reasonable (we had an 8:30pm reservation).
If we could guarantee a comfy spot I would definitely go back. Ask for a seat along the booth tables!

This is the second time that we have been to Nour and again it did not disappoint. The service is exceptional, very professional and friendly. The management team is always on hand and extremely responsive to their customer's needs. We love Middle Eastern food, but at Nour it has an exciting twist. Every dish (even the vegetarian ones) has a surprising element that becomes the talking point around the table. The wine list caters to everyone's tastes and budgets. We most definitely recommend this restaurant.

I have been disappointed many times while dining out in Sydney. It is refreshing to find a place like Nour. I can’t find anything to complain about. Food, service, ambiance are all outstanding.

Nour is a great space with lots of attention paid to the fit-out. The food is beautifully presented with interesting flavour combinations. Although there is Middle Eastern influence, the dishes are unique and a credit to the creativity and skill of the chefs. The wine list is also excellent.
This is not cheap dining, but it is fair value for the experience. We were a party of six and we all rated it highly.

Overall, loved the food and the experience. My daughter has wanted to try Nour for a while so I chose it for her birthday dinner. It's Lebanese food done differently and beautifully. I probably won't return as I felt it was a touch pricey but I'm happy to have had the experience. Just a couple of negatives - firstly, there were a couple of dishes we ordered that came with flat bread. When we got the bill there was a charge on there for 'Extra Bread' even though we never asked for any extra bread. We assumed when they presented the meal with the bread it was because the bread came with it so I was surprised to see a charge on the account. I didn't say anything because when you're paying over $400 for a meal (there were 4 of us and one was a 9 year old who hardly ate) I wasn't going to complain about an extra $3.00. Secondly, my daughter and I ordered an Espresso Martini and a Mocha Martini for dessert. The Mocha was so strong in coffee that my daughter managed 2 sips and couldn't drink it. Again, I probably should have said something (paid $20 for it) but I didn't want to sour the experience.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Nour. Dining on my own, I was placed near the window, with a good view of the lively bar and restaurant, and the very busy waiting staff. I had a variety of wonderful small plates, none of which were that small, so be careful not to over-reach. I had the chargrilled octopus, the wonderful camel sambusak, and the wood fired honey figs, though the couple at the next table recommended the snapper for next time! All accompanied by a really good choice of wine by the glass. I will be back next time I am in Sydney. Need to book if you want peak time, though after 8.30pm people were getting seated without reservations on the Wednesday night that I went.
