Fantastic food - the mussel and wagyu were my absolute favourites. Brilliant service. And would heartily recommend the Rosella Bella for non-alcoholic cocktail fans. A superb restaurant all around.

Servers seemed a bit unctuous and they did not want to be there. Other than that, food was good, nothing special but it was good value. So good experience overall

Hi Caaaaaa, I am glad you enjoyed the food. However it is an unfair comment and inequitable observation to say that we do not want to be there and to diminish all the hard work and genuine service we gave everybody that night and every other nights. 2 staff from front house and 1 staff from the kitchen could not work on the night you dined with us due to emergency/ personal matters. Every team member who worked that night in fact, all chose to be there and we all gave our best. Your feedback is noted however does not reflect on other reviews from the same night. Thank you. Fabulous food and service! We loved dining at Longshore. We ordered the banquet menu and any dishes not allergy friendly were easily substituted. The restaurant is in a laneway with a great atmosphere and fun vibe. Highly recommend!

Excellent venue, a bit difficult for parking, but great ambience and attentiveness. Also helps having a 3pm ish booking and having the restaurant entirely to yourself. Highly recommend the strawberry old fashioned cocktail. Probably can get away with just the tasting menu, however the yabbies was a great unique addition, and I've never had John Dory before, even if we could only finish a third of it!

Gorgeous food in a small but luxe space. It's a long skinny space, the downstairs is warmer and more inviting than upstairs, and the upstairs feels more casual with the long bar seating on one side. We had the a la carte menu which had both small and main dishes. The focus is seafood and we started with the octopus. Two skewers of chargrilled baby octopus, glazed with smoky soy; the yabbies, a small plateful of steamed yabbies sitting in a bisque puddle that teamed perfectly with their bread, and umami butter. The yabbies' texture was a little soft, but the overall flavours perfect. The mains include the weight of the fish - helpful in deciding about one main or two. The 250g dry aged swordfish with nduja and charred lime was perfectly cooked and it was nice to eat this beautiful fish without distracting flavours. We accompanied with charred winter greens - a nice idea, but a bit fibrousy in the eating. I don't know if they needed more charring, or the greens are at the end of the season, but compared with all the other dishes, were not nearly as elegant or interesting. We each had some wines by the glass- it's so nice to see a reasonable number of whites and reds by the glass, including a "cellar" selection. Especially when there's only two of you. Having a different wine each course makes for more interesting eating. There was a small dessert selection, we had the melon pannacotta, a masterpiece of flavour and texture. It's reasonably pricey, but overall beautiful ingredients handled both with care and skill. Definitely worth a visit. The staff are attentive, helpful and knowledgeable.

Lovely room. Table set-up is a bit odd. Our table was great with three (all down one side), but if there were people on the other side, they would impede the passageway between the next communal table. Good was delicious. I wasn't so sure about the swordfish and tuna nduja. Wine list is comprehensive. Not too many bargains but not outrageously priced as some are these days. Lots of staff which is great, but they weren't always around when we needed them. When they were, they were knowledgeable, particularly the sommelier and the head waiter.

We’ve been fans of Dorothy and Jarrod since we discovered Hartsyard. Every visit has been a delight and the latest iteration of their talent is no different. Absolutely gorgeous food, sublime service and a really beautiful space to relax in. The flavours are always inventive surprising diverse and delicious. Stand out was the warm and informative service from their team. Cannot recommend Longshore highly enough- you can feel the passion they have throughout the experience. Will be back ASAP. Thanks for a beautiful night!

Unclear what the hype is about. Food was just fine. Nothing noteworthy. The ambiance is cool, everyone is very very nice, but the service was poor. 2 plus hours for 2 people to get through a few share plates and one main in a half empty seating. We ended up leaving before dessert because the entire experience was just so drawn out. Honestly not sure how anyone else’s experiences could be vastly different than our own.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! The snackflight menu was just one perfect dish after another. The beverage pairing is highly recommended, the beverages really enhanced the meal, very clever pairings. I’ve been lucky enough to eat at many of Sydney’s best restaurants, and Longshore is up there with the very best. I love this restaurant. Such good people, delicious flavour packed tasty food, interesting ingredients and combinations plus a banging drinks list. It's not a budget option, but prices are fair for the level of quality and service. Highly recommend for a couple, a group or even a large celebration upstairs.
