Disappointed to find I was able to make a reservation at a restaurant that had been closed for two weeks! Hated to see Pikes had closed. It was an excellent restaurant with great service. Management really did try to make it work. Only problem I could see is that some people may have thought they only served seafood but they did have very good alternatives on menu. Beautiful space and can only hope someone else can make something work in there.
The note of "permanently closed" had not yet shown on the title so we showed up and there was no restaurant.
Pike's is closed.
The restaurant is closed! Out of busineas
The restaurant is no longer in business in spite of Open Table still having it in their system. We made a reservation and were quite surprised to find the restaurant closed two weeks ago.
Pike's is closed.
Great out-of-the-way place. Comfortable, with delish food. Husband and I enjoyed brunch immensely.
Date night.. Like many American establishments, portions too large - so got cup of soup, salad, tuna sashimi appetizer and the salmon.. then shared it all. More than enough food, finished it off and didn't have room for dessert. Nevertheless, all great ingredients, presentation and tastes. Waitress was a little absent once all the food was out, but perhaps she was new? Recommended regardless!
It was excellent. However I found out they just went out of business.
Food was lacking in both quality of preparation and quantity(sides were kind of small). Service was good however.
Really good menu and food was well prepared with a nice presentation. Good value overall.
I've never had a bad meal at Pike's. This was as excellent as always.
It was really hot in the restaurant....
Order 1 margharita and 1 Tom Collins both of which were way too sweet. Trout was so so, would have preferred not ordering with pecan/sauce.
We went here for a last minute date before seeing a movie. We really wanted some oysters :) we got the Pikes seafood tower. The crabs, shrimp and oysters were very very fresh. You really didnt even need the butter for the crab legs they tasted so great. The oysters were good, but we would love to have more west coast options. Overall there were couples, families with kids, singles, etc... We really enjoyed ourselves. The service was great.
Everything was great, I brought 2 friends that had never been there and they were impressed.
I told my dentist about the restaurant today.
My first time at Pike Fish House: what great food, price and atmosphere. We meet friends there for a Saturday night dinner and it was A+. We will be back again. Thank you for a great dining experience .
More people should visit. The menu offers classic fish-house comfort foods, and the important raw oyster options.I would be very happy if soup options matched the healthy quality of the salads; e.g. A clear-broth fish soup. This is merely a preference.
We found Pike's Fish House doing a search for restaurants in the Leesburg, VA area. Pike's looked interesting and the reviews were very good so we thought we would give it a try. We started with a bowl of clam chowder which was one of the best I have ever had. Plenty of clam.
For entrees we tried the Shrimp and Grits and the Royal Sea Bass which was a special. Both were outstanding. The sea bass is flown in fresh to Dulles airport several times a week and you don't want to miss out on this delightful dish when it's on the menu. I live forty-five minutes from Pike's and I'll make the drive when I find out that it's on the menu. We finished up with a warm pear crisp which was also a real treat. We were the at 4:00 in the afternoon so it wasn't very crowed. Service was outstanding. Can't wait to return.
Always enjoy food and service at Pikes. Only suggestion we have is that they could update menu a bit. We love the kale and Brussels but not all of our dining companions do.
We had a group of 5 for 8pm dinner reservations. Th server was definitely rushing us through as she wanted to end her shift and close out. restaurant closes at 11pm on a Friday which seems early and it was a ghost town by 11pm. Woudl be nice if they were open a little later for groups that want to hang out.
We had the nut crusted trout. It was amazing. I did not care for the kale and garlic. It wasn't cooked enough.
This was our first visit to Pike's and it won't be our last. We decided to do an early Saturday night dinner (6 pm). Our server was very fast to come and take our order (more on that later) and was very friendly and helpful. We ordered our appetizers and our food came out of the kitchen lightning fast and cooked wonderfully (calamari was so so tender!). And speed became the theme of the evening. Attentiveness is great but we felt so rushed! No sooner than we put down our forks from the appetizers, the main course appeared (not complaining...yet). We settled in and began eating - fried oysters were crunchy but not overcooked, grilled scallops were very tasty, and risotto was dee-ilcious (yes, I took bites from everyone's plates!). Our server was on a mission though. We like a little dinner conversation but if felt like every time we paused our forks, she was by to check on us. As soon as 2 of us put our forks down, gone were our dishes and apparently we were to move on to the dessert round. Not done with dessert but we received the check. Dinner was over within an hour. One hour. So. While we really enjoyed the food, and our server was (in general) lovely, our suggestion to the manager is to slow your servers. We get it, turnover means business. However, it wasn't like there were people in line and there were lots of open tables. We'll be back for lunch - when fast is probably a good thing.
Not bad but nothing special. Good solid seafood. Server was excellent.
Air was not working. Food was good but hard to enjoy when you are so miserably hot. Paid cash and waiter didn't bring back our change but instead came back asking if we needed change, sorry but to me that is rude.
Delicious food and exceptional service! Looking forward to my next visit!
Great customer service with a great menu! This place never disappoints!
First time at Pike's and it was an overall great experience. Jeff was our server. We were there early--6pm on a Saturday night--and were seated right away. Jeff was friendly and informative--gave us some great tips on the menu choices . Calamari was some of the best we've had--very tender and served with 2 unique sauces. Shrimp and grits was good and fried oysters were done very well.
I highly recommend the seafood salad. It had a lemon vinegarette. It was delicious. I could have paired that with the yummy, warm bread for my full meal and been satisfied. I had the scallops which were very good.
Excellent food and our server, Mark was efficient, friendly and interacted with us throughout our meal. He had a great sense of humor. Food came hot and just as we ordered it. Shrimp, salmon, and seared tuna all cooked exactly right. Sides were plentiful and good.
Already have reservations to return in two weeks.
Wonderful ambiance, food and service. We thought it a tad pricey for two people, but that was partially because one of us ordered the special and did not realize how expensive it was - we will ask next time!
Nice Neighborhood Restaurant. We always enjoy Pike's but wish they would freshen up their menu a bit. We've been coming since it opened and nothing really has changed. They do have a good selection of seafood as well as other items to appeal to non-seafood lovers. Especially like their grilled oysters which are very unique and delicious!
1st time at Pikes and definitely coming back. Good food, Great prices and Excellent service.
Great place for dinner with family and friends. Food is very good and so is the service.
The food was very good as well as the service and attention to our needs by our waitress. We enjoyed the fried grouper and the surf and turf for dinner on Father's Day. We will return and recommend this restaurant to friends.
This was my first time at Pike's - for brunch with a relative. We were seated immediately (the place wasn't packed), and the service was good. I had the crab Benedict; my aunt had the "french toast and then some." Then we split the pear crisp, which was more mushy than crispy. Everything else was very good, nothing absolutely amazing.I'd dine here again and look forward to trying out the lunch/dinner options and oysters.
Great food, super service and friendly atmosphere. Pikes is our number one goto place for dinner out.
Food is consistently good. Service is usually good but our waitress Geneva was spectacular, accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience!
Great! staff, food and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
