    It was the second time we have been there. It is a 5 star experience in every aspect. Couldn't fault waitstaff, the food, the service. The asparagus and the venison entres were delicious and the sirloin and mussels as mains were perfect. The surprise 50% wine discount for Wednesday was graciously accepted. We will definitely be back bringing other friends

    My favourite local restaurant with a relaxing Euro-vibe, the friendliest staff, and diverse wine and food menus (the scallop crudo dish is so, so yummy - literally obsessed). Don’t sleep on this gorgeous little corner of the Gabba.

    This is our second visit to SCW and, once again, we were met with service which is both welcoming & friendly but of an extremely high standard. The food is top notch but special mention has to go to the steak w salt & vinegar frites! Also loved the pork croquettes + the soldiers w/enoki mushrooms. Fab selection of wine rounds things off! It’s very quickly becoming our go to fav!

    Loved having dinner here to celebrate a promotion with my partner. The staff were professional and very knowledgeable. The food was so delicious but I got the roast pumpkin salad, but it just a quarter of a roast pumpkin plus a bit of greenery topping it. Not so much salad, but very delicious. Great ambience, great service, fantastic wine.

    A limited but balanced menu with something for all tastes and preferences available. There is a comprehensive cellar but somewhat expensive wine list but you will find something to your liking. Nice ambience with mostly alfresco dinning but plenty of heaters to keep you cozy. The staff are friendly and efficient without being intrusive and our meals came out at a pleasant pace. All in all, a good night.

    Wine was nice with a good range and service was excellent - cannot fault the team on that. However the food left a little to be desired. The escargot was a really nice dish and showed some creativity and talent - but then the sirloin with 'frites' and 'broad leaf salad was lazy and disappointing. The sirloin was full of gristle and the 'frites' you could have found in any fish and chip shop in town, just your standard hospo frozen chip with a little vinegar to try jazz it up . The broad leaf salad was a bit of a sorry sight, not the freshest but well dressed. For $47 it was pretty underwhelming and felt a bit lazy. The roasted pumpkin was nicely done, but again for $24 seemed a bit steep. Overall, paid a premium and left a bit underwhelmed.

    This was our second time visiting and again we were so impressed. Every dish was delicious, everything we would order again. Mark was so knowledgeable but also so down to earth with his service. I can’t wait to visit again. That venison tartare!!!!!!

    Food is outstanding, however the service is lacking. The head waiter/owner was not attentive at all, we had to keep asking to order drinks and our meals. In fact he took two drink orders disappeared and didnt come back to take the rest of the tables!! I asked to order our meals and told no problem and again disappeared and didnt come back. Had to stop one of the other waiters to ask if he could take our order, he was more attentive however again didnt keep an eye on our drinks to see if we wanted another. Venue is very cold in winter so make sure you rug up.
