Ruth's Chris Steak House - Admiralty
I am a VERY frequent customer of my favorite steak house, Ruth’s Chris. From Miami to Orlando to Scottsdale to Savannah, to New York and other points beyond, this particular restaurant was, unfortunately, the worst I have ever attended.
I ordered my steak cooked medium. What I received was a burnt steak, to the point of the exterior being charbroiled, hard, and carbonized - a much like charcoal.
I’m shocked our server allowed that to even be served.
I sent it back. What I next received was a rare steak with a cold pink center - that was also charbroiled on the outside.
Not wanting to argue, I begrudgingly ate it.
Next: The cooks at the Admiralty Ruth’s Chris certainly like pepper! I know Ruth’s Chris puts a SMALL dash of pepper on their steaks, which i love, but my wife and I had to pull flecks of pepper off of our steaks because it was burning out mouths.
Last: our server was inattentive. He never asked my wife how her steak was (focusing solely on mine - after I complained), and he was slow to refill our drinks or to even check on us.
I frequent Ruth’s Chris for the quality of their service and the quality of their food. I am not a high maintenance customer, and get along quite well. However, for the amount of money that I spend, I expect first class service, which we did not receive at this particular restaurant.
Ruth's is a favorite of mine but I found that this particular Ruth's had a very limited Wine assortment, which really surprised me and of course was disappointing! Get back in the Game Ruth's at Admiralty!
Everytiem I come here, the meat is always consistent. Love how the steak is done. Great service from the staff. Wine bottle recommended was a spot in pair for the entree.
I have been here many times before but this was my first bad experience. On top of that I emailed Ruths Chris to complain and they never responded. Couldn’t take Ruths Chris gift cards. But it took 20 minutes for them to tell me that. Why waste my time. Steak was tough. Chicken was flavorless. Caesar salad bad. Fries seemed reheated. Just a bad experience and their lack of reply shocked me.
We always come here for dinner, they make a very good dirty martini. This time there were small things I noticed about the service. The main waiter was good but the guy who brought the bread was not good, I asked him if they had gluten free bread and he just nodded and walked away. After a while, I asked again and did the same thing. I asked him if he understood or not, cause nodding and walking away wasn't a good service. Turned out they didn't have gluten-free bread.
It is good for business meal, service is good and steak is good too.

Very Poor "Wine by the glass" selection - the steaks were on the salty side - compared to other Ruth Chris locations. The Crab cake appetizer - way too salty.
Service satrted out well - but ended poorly - I think it was because there were more tables to handle - which means you are understaffed during peak times

Had a great birthday for my wife. As usual, the restaurant was great and the food was good. We were lucky to have a really great server.
Mixed meal this time. I've been here 5 times now. The wine-of-the-month selection was wonderful - a South African red, reasonably priced and delicious. Great start! Appetisers perfect, as was the lamb and tenderloin filet, chicken and sides. But my prime rib eye steak was underwhelming. As this was the centerpiece of the meal I was disappointed. It was cooked properly, but the meat quality was not prime to my admittedly picky taste. Dessert was very good. I've had wonderful rib eye here before so perhaps bad luck.
I am a long time Ruth's Chris fan since the original location on Broad St in New Orleans. I have been to many different locations around the world.
The cowboy rib eye was juicy but flavorless. The shrieking by children next to our table was especially annoying. This was not a fine dining atmosphere. The prawns appetizer was bland.
Cream spinach was excellent, the salad very good, the oysters Rockefeller were great.
Service was average, never asked if we enjoyed our meal. Ruth Fertel would not be happy.

Overall I thought the food and the service in this restaurant were of a good quality -with the exceptions of the fries which in my view were cooked far too long, but I quibble on this point. I enjoyed the meal I had and the staff made me feel very welcome. The steak was well cooked and the side I was offered was lovely - the fries were extra; that being said I didn't think it was particularly good value for money. It was expensive and I am not really sure why. The service was good but it wasn't sliver service and the food was good but that's it. Would I eat it again yes - would I pay the price again no.
- Despite the restaurant being rather empty on the evening, I found the service, while friendly, quite slow;
- The Lobster Bisque was the worst I have ever eaten, tasteless, sour and lukewarm;
- I ordered Lyonnaise Potatoes but received French Fries;
- Even though I immediately returned the French Fries, I did not receive the Potato Lyonnaise until I had almost finished my steak;
- The mushrooms were tasteless; &
- My steak ordered medium rare was delivered medium +
Wait staff was a little slow and seemed inexperienced.
I always come back here when I want a good steak. I frequently bring colleagues and this time was no exception.
Compared with any US Ruth Chris this one is more expensive and the quality is lower than US ones, they don't have the full menu. So lower quality for higher price is not a good deal!
After a week in Guangzhou eating very traditional Chinese dishes, we decided to splurge at Ruth's Chris in Hong Kong and get a great steak and some good wine. We were shocked to show up and find the prices 3 times normal Ruth's Chris prices. We were expecting some upcharge, but definitely experienced some serious sticker shock. As the restaurant website does not show prices, we had no way to know before arriving. It was really disappointing as this is a restaurant we have enjoyed in many different cities.
