Fantastic Venue ! Great food and the service couldn't be faulted. We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised with a cake and candle by the staff. Very friendly staff. A most enjoyable afternoon. We will definitely be going back

Very nice restaurant, good location. They were understaffed before 6 pm, we both ordered steaks so we had to wait about 40 minutes until we could finally eat (we were so hungry that point we forgot to take pictures). First we got someone else’s order, than we got our own but mixed up with each others. The food was very yummy though, not really a nice portion, just enough to feel good about it.

Nice feel in the well appointed bar. The hightop table worked well for our party of 8. Reasonable selection of beers. Food was excellent and the service efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The value for money was also very acceptable.

What an amazing place. A true Melbourne treasure. Our food was delicious and well paired with carefully chosen wines by staff. I had the hangar steak with chimmichurri - flavour bomb. I also tried the duck ravioli - so rich and perfect. The service is fantastic and welcoming. Vinny and the team have kept the history of this place intact by incorporating the old with the new in the making of the tables, picture frames and even the cheese boards from the old building upstairs. I can't wait to come back when the den is open for business and try some of those delicious whiskeys and even more of what's on offer on the menu.

Good food but from when we ordered the meal took over one and half hours to arrive! We suspect but are not sure of course that the waiter may have forgotten to put our order into the kitchen. After waiting for over an hour we politely asked the waiter where our meals were. He said that they were just a few minutes away but they didn’t arrive for another 30 mins.

Had a really nice Sunday afternoon lunch Food was great, price was reasonable and the staff were fantastic. Really attentive but not intrusive. Good knowledge of the wine he recommended and easy to chat to.

Broadsheet writes this pub has had a $44m renovation. The money was used to develop it into an apartment block. The restaurant is average or just below average. It’s a tiny pub that probably seats 60 people. Food is just average pub food at restaurant prices. Service is clunky and they don’t know if they are a order at the bar pub, table service restaurant, or just come down for a pot and watch the footy on TV. All in all it’s fine, just don’t expect to much.

Great little spot. Good vibes, modern Australian menu with good value pub classics and finer dining options. Australian-only wine list is a nice touch. Loved the beetroot entree, seafood pasta, and epic hangar steak. Thanks team, will be back.

We were interested to see how this local had come up after its restoration. We weren't disappointed! It has been refurbished quite tastefully and has a nice feel about it. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The menu is great - quite extensive with all the pub favourites (well almost all - I think it should be compulsory for pubs to have bangers and mash on the menu!) plus some more sophisticated offerings including a good choice of steaks. It is very well priced and is a very welcome addition top our local scene - we all agreed that this would become a 'regular'.

We had lunch and the vibe is sophisticated, modern decor, excellent wait staff, food very good. Not really a pub but a good restaurant in a pub opposite the Queen Vic Market. Will go again. Very good.

Food and ambience high level. Waitress should have informed us that the kitchen was closing soon. We didn’t get a chance to order our desserts looking forward to tasting the mousse after reading reviews in paper.

Best new pub in North/West Melbourne. We were there as a couple a few weeks back, and came back with friends this time. Food's excellent, service is quite good. Great selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well, for a friend who is pregnant.
