Ocean Beach Pavilion is a casual, family-friendly venue boasting a variety of indoor-outdoor atmospheric spaces and food offerings. Had a booking over the weekend. Had a confirmation on the Friday to say “your booking is for tomorrow”. Turned up for dinner Saturday night and it was not open. No email or phone call to say they were shut. We had travelled 5hrs for a weekend away and were looking forward to dinner at the Pavilion. Very disappointing.

I arrived at the booking to find that the Ocean Beach Pavilion was closed for renos even through I received confirmation for my booking the day before from OpenTable!

Fantastic Fresh Modern Asian Food . We had a beautiful Easter day there. The Staff were so lovely and attentive and the playground for the kids is such a fantasitc space. Got a coffee to go after our delicious lunch and it was perfect a Soy Boy Milk is the best :)

The sushi and sashimi was very disappointing for the price and not what I expected. The hand rolls had no cucumber or veg and were tiny. The sashimi plate was so small for the price. The quality of the fish was at least decent. Overall disappointing.

Very disappointed ! Everything we ordered or wanted had run out! We were handed dirty plastic wine glasses saying they had run out of glass when there were glass wine glasses at the bar! Never again

Our experience was highly disappointing. The restaurant had run out of majority of the items on the menu making ordering dinner very difficult. The venue has huge potential however needs a lot of maintenance to reach an acceptable standard for Sorrento Main Street.

We had the worst experience here, we waited and hour and 15 mins for our food but it came out in increments. The sliders meat patty was so small and burnt and the bun was dry. The chicken skewers were $14 for 2 sticks and the meat was inedible. The staff were all very inexperienced and no one warmed us how long the food would take. The tables were broken out the back and the toilets were so filthy you couldn’t use them. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Booked for a birthday celebration for a restaurant seating. Was causal dinning in a tent. Service was poor with staff showing no interest. Half the menu items were not available. Ordered the Lamb ribs with hardly any meat on them, mostly fat. Was not told in advance that the restaurant area was closed ‘due to staff shortages’. This was a very disappointing experience especially for a special celebration.

Service was great. Food was ordinary. The dumplings were not home made, the sashimi was tough and the karage was dry. The place did not look clean. Have dined here before and found it excellent but not now.

The photos on the website does not reflect the food that is served. Lamb ribs inedible, so overcooked. XO prawns were cooked prawns sautéed in XO, not green prawns.

We enjoyed our meal but they didn’t have first choice available so that was disappointing. Food was good though and great outdoor area suitable for kids. It was a windy day and one of the umbrellas went flying off one of the tables and the waitresses outside just walked away from it and didn’t help. Overall we enjoyed our drinks and meal sat outside on the deck

After looking forward to this visit for quite some time, I was extremely disappointed except for food. It is tired and run down. I didn't realise it was more like a bar/nightclub than a restaurant. Very loud music when we entered so we asked to sit outside. I had 3 teenagers with me and they felt uncomfortable in the surrounds with loud group were sat right next to us with all other tables free. We basically ate and ran. I was charged $25 for 3 soft drinks and when we told head staff he was more than accommodating to rectify. Playground for kids is a waste. This venue could be so much more.

Understand staff shortage however 6 of us for dinner. One meal came out 35 mins before another 5 & one at 45 mins mark. Didn’t think the waitresses dressed appropriately for serving 2 meals went back & waitress never asked why? . Chips were great

Beyond amazing service at Ocean Beach Pavilion. They went above and beyond to make sure our group’s three dogs were comfortable, I’ve never experienced better service. The food was so tasty, and large servings as well. Highly recommend

It was terrible. When we arrived, we told them we had a booking and were told we didn’t need one and we could sit anywhere. After sitting for 10 minutes and not being asked if we wanted a drink or given a menu, my wife went and asked a staff member. She was told she could get a drink at the bar and that the food menu was not available, but if she wanted she could order fish and chips.

Pretty avg food for the price. Setting was nice but it’s run by teenagers it seems and much of the clientele was also very young. 18 yr olds vaping in the children’s playground…. All in all it’s cute for kids but otherwise pretty disappointing.

I booked for dinner in the restaurant with my partner and when we arrived we were told they weren’t sitting anyone in the restaurant that evening and we had the choice of sitting outside in the cold wind or inside the bar area which is super loud. Both were really poor options. Once we were seated they said the food could be ordered off the QRCode on the table. Once scanned the menu only came up with drinks. We went to the bar to ask for a menu and was especially told to use the wrong code…. Which only had the drinks menu on it. We finally got the paper menu and ordered. Food came out dry and unpleasant to eat. Safe to say with three strikes I will not be going back.

Although the service was good, we found that the food and drinks were overpriced for what we got. The main concern of our group was that the vegetarian received meat dumplings instead of vegetarian, luckily another member of our group decided to try them first and realised and alerted staff, who were very apologetic. In addition to this, some of the dumplings were dry around the seam. The beer prices also caught us off guard with the cost of a schooner equalling the cost of a pint at surrounding restaurants. All in all, the location and set up looked like it would be a good vibe for a few bevs, but the price of food and drinks was not reflective of the quality of product.

Big thank you to the staff there who went above and beyond to make sure I was able to eat something with my allergen requirements. They got the kitchen to make me a meal specifically for my requirements which turned out to be spectacular! Recommend coming here for everything but the friendly staff especially!

We were early arrivals just as they were opening up after COVID. Hopefully the full menu will be available on our next visit. For what was on offer - it was delicious and the service was good and very cheery.

Beware when booking! They tried to charge us $100 because 4 people couldn’t make it due to the storms. The tables were filthy and it’s really nothing special. Other much better places to go!
