On my visit, there was a live guitar duo playing jazz and a little bit of flamenco, which really set a lovely atmosphere. For the food, I opted for a ‘Leave it to Sam’ option, where we told the waiter how hungry we were, and he selected four share plates for us. Great food. Will be back again.

Highly recommended and great venue Food was excellent and arrived at our pace Owner / Manager Pam, introduced herself, was friendly and engaging personality with great stories. all staff were kind and attentive, Brian the Bar person was exceptional at cocktails The venue is comfortable and highly recommend Queenies as the go to Restaurant

A great choice of share plates, and all beautifully presented. Delicious flavours which we all greatly enjoyed. I love the idea of a Canberra based wine list, with the same price per glass. I'll be a return customer.

Nice food and great background music. Friendly, if not impressively competent, service (nothing unique about that in Canberra, frankly). Definitely worth a return visit, however, I think.

Well done to the new owners of Queenies! We love your new menu (especially the super fresh oysters) and the cocktails were right on. Really love the standard wine price and the local selection available. We particularly loved the outdoor setting and the small conformable chairs in the corner. The service was fabulous ++. We will definitely be back.

Food was great, fabulous selection of vegetarian and gluten free options. With some fussy eaters amongst the group we had no problem finding plenty of really good options. Great vibe but with live music it was very loud and not overly conducive to staying after dinner for a further drink and chat. Would go again but it would be great if the music could be turned down a touch. Service was fine.

Queenies for dinner for two on a crisp Friday night was 'jumping'. Bit loud for our romantic dinner but we improvised by sitting next to each other! Great interesting small and big plates with my pescetarian friend and I well satisfied. Haloumi and cauliflower dishes with veg chips perfect for sharing.

Amazing ambience created by a mix of architectural details, attentive staff, fabulous sharing plates and excellent musicians led by Matt Dennet. It is just great to see people enjoying live music and dancing. Queenies has a definite speakeasy vibe that keeps us coming back even though we live in the inner North

The menu has always been wonderful at Queenie’s, and now it’s all gluten-free! Everything we tried was super yum (including some lovely new cocktails). Lovely friendly staff too.

Fabulous atmosphere created with cool jazz played on piano and double bass by very accomplished musicians led by Matthew Dennet. The wine pricing is sensible and the food is 100% gluten free making any option easy. We had kingfish sashimi, haloumi with pear and walnut and strip loin steak , all well served and balanced plates.

We were pleasantly surprised that the service and food were excellent. Loved the balance of vegetarian, meat and fish on the menu. Everything was very tasty and not too rich. The new owners are doing an excellent job on all fronts.

It was my first experienced & can't wait to go back. I found the young staff so engaging, conversational & made sure we were well looked after. Food was delicious we shared a bunch of starters. Looking forward to coming back to experience the Saturday Live Music over the coming month.

Whilst the food was excellent the service was pretty poor. We had a table booked for 18:30 and arrived about 5 minutes before, however someone else had already sat in our space. We decided to wait at the bar and order some drinks, which took 25 minutes to be ordered and brought to us, whilst we were shuffled around two different tables before being able to order food. The food did come out quickly and was delicious but the overall experience was disappointing.

The Belco Jazz band brought the real speakeasy vibe to Queenies. Fantastic musicians who enhanced the food and wine experience. The $60 a bottle pricing makes things easy and the choice of plates on offer was brilliant.

What a marvelous night! We were greeted by the new Manager and the gorgeous Pam at the bar. The interior is stunning! Magical almost. Too many interesting items on the menu, but we narrowed it down and every dish was fresh, unique, dynamic and delicious! My partner tried some of the local brews and I had a delicious Farmers Daughter (I think) local Wine. Again, a really unique taste. Yum. We will be back - (to work our way through the spectacular menu, and wine list). Outstanding. Thank you Pam and the team at Queenie's. Very special. X Kate

Great ambience. Was met at the door and shown to our table. We had a high table. Next time I would book a booth. All wine an d food is local so that's a big bonus for us Canberrians. We loved the shared plates. We will certainly go back again.

Food was outstanding across the board and the kitchen did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the service was really, really poor and undermined the great work done in the kitchen. So many times we saw wait staff take food and drinks to the wrong table. It just kept on happening all evening. Clueless staff wandering around like they were trying to guess which table ordered what item. We saw our wine go past our table, offered to another table then back to us when we said it was for our table. Dishes were brought to the table with no explanation as to what each dish was - as the menu works well for sharing, each dish should be been described as it was served. I would return for the food, but major training is needed for wait staff to fix the service problem.

We have eaten at Queenies quite a few times in the last few years and have been very happy with the service and quality of food. Saturday night was a complete disappointment as the food was disgusting. Most of the menu was not available as we were advised after trying to use the QR code at the table (which didn't work) that the venue had been sold and there were limited dishes to order which you had to do at the bar. It would have been nice if we were informed of this when we booked a table for dinner as we would have eaten elsewhere. We have no intention of eating there again.

the food was absolutely incredible. it really was outstanding. credit to the chef and the team. sadly, the service simply didn't match the standard set by the food. the staff were not engaging, didn't offer help unless called.

Exceeded expectations! We were visiting from Newcastle and it was recommended. We are so glad we went. The food was deliciously different. Our Scottish waitress was an absolute delight. We would definitely go back.

Everything was fine. Great place to pop into on a rainy good friday evening. my only small issue was I thought the halloumi dish was too sweet. Eggplant chips were fabulous.
