Excellent service from friendly staff. Food was good but portions were far too large and in future I would share a main course. I hate to see food waste. I have a good appetite but could only manage half the liver pate and around half of the lemon sole. Otherwise great atmosphere and would return here if in Richmond.
The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. The only problem was we went on a warm evening so with the restaurant being small it made the atmosphere very hot and stuffy. The air con made little difference to the temperature inside so found It very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get outside which was a shame as everything else gets top marks.
This being said I would go again just not on a warm day/evening.
Following my booking through open table, I received a call from a gentlemen to confirm. When arriving at the restaurant the smells and atmosphere was divine. We was showed to our table and informed about the specials and then our wine was brought to us, with water for the table . There was a family group next to us and they seemed to be ordering different meals from the menu, but nothing was too much trouble for the happy, friendly staff. We ate the steak meal for two, this was cooked to perfection and the bottle of Rose was also nice. I would also recommend that you try the Dianne Sauce if having steak. The dessert was also lovely and nothing was too much for the friendly happy staff. Will definitely recommend and will be going back next time we are in the area. Thank you for a lovely evening.
