I was here during Restaurant Week and was going to order Mushroom Ravioli (manager said not today, NO Problem) Please make another selection which I did (Filet Medallions). Meal was great and thank you for the going the extra mile. Great for outdoor dining too.
Will return with NO hesitation!
Great NYC style steakhouse. Been there 2x in a month. Fantastic food, wine and service!
We eat here every time we are in New York City. (this is our third time here)
We came for restaurant week and the value that was given was great. We enjoyed our time there. The waiter was very attentive.
Visited for Restaurant Week dinner menu; very generous options as well as the portion. Good location for theater goers in Times Sq. Will be back for regular steak menu soon.
Came for restaurant week at 4:15 for dinner before the rush hour. Great service and food. Will return
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and fun waiter. The meal combo which included an app, entree and dessert was a great value.
Food was good, we ordered fro the restaurant week dinner menu, the boneless rib eye steak great flavored but received it medium instead of medium rare. The penne pasta was a bit bland. The French onion soup was very flavorful and delicious!
Wonderful service. Very friendly and attentive. Great food.
Our main dish arrived no later than 5 minutes after our appetizers were served so we had to choose between letting our appetizers or our main dish sit on the side and get cold. Of course, we chose to eat our steak plates right away but that resulted in our appetizers getting cold and saugy. What was supposed to be a relaxed meal ended up being rushed and disappointing.
Food was excellent; Sirloin, Salmon and Lobster Ravioli. Service was amazing.
Excellent service. Amazingly delicious food. They cooked everything just they way we asked.
We were most pleasantly delighted in this choice. What excellent service. And the food was as good as you could ever expect in a steakhouse. I will indeed go back again. I found the value for the dollar to be more than acceptable. I'm a happy dude.
The food was not good, the steak was too oily, I can grill better steak at home, the waiter was super nice, however they did not accept my dining point, because the food I ordered was from the restaurant week menu.
I wish they have mentioned it somewhere, so I did go with another option.
I am totally not happy with the dining experience there and not going back.
Nice dinner in nice atmosphere. My family & I enjoyed or dining experience.
We went for restaurant week today for late lunch. To our surprise, it is not crowded. They treated us as VIP. The service is superb.
I had sizzling thick cut Canadian bacon for appetizer. My husband had Caesar salad. I love my bacon. Never had a thick bacon as thick as this, served on sizzling hot plate. My husband loved the Caesar salad.
We both had the medallion fillet mignon for entry. It served with mushroom wine sauce. With mash potatoes and broccoli as sides. The fillet mignon is so tender, we loved it. It is two 3 oz medallions. I can only eat 1 portion since I want to save room to add a desert. We shared a New York cheeses cake. It was delicious. We feel every thing was perfectly delicious. We definitely will return when we return to visit NYC in the future.
The staff was great. The manager came to our table made sure everything is ok. When we left, every staff served us thank us, very polite and grateful. It really made us feel we were appreciated.
Empire Steakhouse sees NYC Restaurant Week not as a chance to show people what they can really do but instead as a means of extorting every possible extra penny from a crowd of people looking to experience something special.
Really good service and yummy steak!
All was as expected-again. Wonderful greeting at the door, wonderful wait staff who could not be more accommodating and a delicious meal as expected. Had the bone in ribeye that was prepared exactly to the temperature requested but with just a bit too much fat, just a bit.
We had to jump out to a show at 54-Below so no time for dessert.
Sent off with two handshakes and waves from the wait staff. All in all a real solid 4 & 5 star visit.
The service was excellent! The food was good but nothing special for the price. The oddest thing is they do not have a restroom in the restaurant. You have to go into the hotel next door where there is a single restroom in the lobby for the hotel and restaurant customers to use.
We booked this restaurant for my daughter’s 16th Birthday before a Broadway show. We were seated in a beautiful, quiet table. The service was fabulous with many people attending including the host. The dinner was outstanding - the fillet mignon and the sirloin steak were cooked to perfection. The wait staff all surprised my daughter with the singing of happy birthday. The entire experience was outstanding.
Unfortunately, the power went out throughout Manhattan at the end of our meal and we were unable to use a credit card to pay. We had cash but the owner insisted the meal was on the house. They were so apologetic- of course it was not their fault! The entire city was in blackness!
We would give this restaurant 5 stars even without the generosity of the entire staff but the way that they handled the entire experience was totally unbelievable and out of this world. Many thanks! From your guests from Toronto!
The complete dining experience was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant and would ask for Giovanni to be your waiter. I’ve been to outstanding establishments and this is one of the best. The service, ambiance and food were above expectations. I’m very happy with my choice in this restaurant.
I work for a major hotel chain.and I send allot guest here for dinner
Roberto the GM was amazingly friendly and generous.
We went for a late dinner after the theatre. The restaurant looked beautiful but was playing the worst dance music rather loudly which totally ruined the elegance and ambiance. The food was okay nothing special and certainly not something I would go back for. My dinner companion got a steak which looked great. I ordered a salad and pasta - they were enormous and not that good. The salad was a mound of lettuce with three tomatoes and a slice of cheese on top.....it was odd to say the least. The pasta was overdone (the menu said it was homemade??) and the rage was not the best. If you are looking for large portions of pedestrian food....this is your place.
Great place, very good service.
We were craving steak but not a stuffy steakhouse. We were attracted to the outdoor eating area at Empire and we were happy to be able to enjoy a truly fabulous ribeye while enjoying a beautiful New York evening! Our server was pleasant but forgetful, not bringing our wine and drink refills until being reminded and forgetting our salad dressing for the tomato and onion salad. The blue-cheese dressing was outstanding and worth the wait! Great meal! Will be back!!
Danny was great!!!!
Food superb, service excellent, can not say enough good things about my first dining experience at Empire. We were celebrating a special birthday and our waiter Rob was absolutely amazing. His personality and attentiveness made us feel so special. His patience with my many questions, always checking on us and even taking pictures for us really contributed to the fun of our afternoon. I would highly recommend this restaurant and definitely plan on returning. An incredible value for quality food and service.
The meal was expensive but we couldn’t fault it,we are not used to having to order potatoes and veg separate as where we come from it is all included with your meal. There was a mix up with our starter so we didn’t receive it but to be honest our steak and all the side dishes made up for it and also we were given a complimentary drink for the mix up.
Service was wonderful and food was delicious.
Excellent place, food and service. We always have dinner there when ever we are in NYC.
We had a great time visiting here. The staff is very hospitable. Our favorite waiter was Ardi. It was my wife’s birthday and they even brought us a platter of four different deserts and sang happy birthday to her at no extra charge! It is a little pricey but it’s worth the experience overall. I would recommend it
My second time here. What a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect. Looking forward to my next visit.
The sweetest front of the house staff! We each got some appetizers and the emperors steak and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Staff were attentive and food came out right on time. Each and everyone of those people working that night acknowledged we were there and made us feel special ❤️ Will definitely go back!
Great service, great food food (fillet mignon for me, my wife had a 14oz lobster. We were addressed by name by the staff and all of our needs were timely fulfilled. This is my new favorite NYC steakhouse and will visit them again the next time I attend a show at Studio 54.
Attentive and helpful staff. Great steaks but plenty of options for non meat eaters.
The service was lovely - personable, timely, with a good sense of humor. Food was good - octopus and greens was a huge hit, as was the French Onion soup. The "quick lunch" was a bargain.
