The food was excellent. We where seated in a corner of the restauant and felt very safe.
Great restaurant, would recommend any menu item especially the cowboy ribeye.
Peter Kelly is a phenomenal chef and he is actually there supervising the kitchen. We met him on the way out.
First time eating at a restaurant since March felt very safe and secure with the spacing and clear plastic dividers. Family celebrated a birthday and anniversary and the Food and Service were excellent.
Restaurant X is beyond outstanding. The ambiance is simply a sophisticated and beautiful. The setting is just gorgeous.
The food is amazing. Everything is cooked to perfection and is presented beautifully.
The service is attentive, warm, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this awesome establishment.
So wonderful to have caring family fine dining back!! Thank you Peter Kelly!
I have been here a few times and this is always a great place to have a great meal and drink. I will definitely be back.
We have been to X2O in Yonkers and loved it. Restaurant X is outstanding. The food was wonderful. The service is excellent. We will be back soon and often.
Outstanding food and service. Brunch is a great value. Building could use a facelift.
We ate outdoors. Restaurant accommodated special request. Great to be back!
From the moment we entered the restaurant our experience couldn't have been more comfortable and inviting. Despite weather conditions outside the dining room, inside climate was temperate and lighting was welcoming. We brought our teenage grandchildren in for a high school graduation celebration. They just kept eating - plates were cleaned and no room for dessert, except the sorbets - which were delightful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any celebratory event. Thanks for everything
Our son and I had a wonderful meal last weekend at Restaurant X. We dined inside because it was hot outdoors and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The menu had a tantalizing selection of dishes, with a focus on seafood. The appetizers were flavorful and plentiful. I had the softshell crab for my main course, which was excellent.
The service was terrific, shout outs to Arlene and Jean. Our only compliant was that the music selection was a bit odd and a little loud, especially considering the small number of patrons in the premises. One song would be a Dean Martin oldie followed by a 1970's rock tune. Strange....
What an absolutely outstanding experience. Peter Kelly is spot on when it comes to cuisine, ambiance and service!
Our server, Arlene, was friendly, professional and went out of her way to see to it that we were comfortable. The food was exceptional and the surroundings were just beautiful.
Without reservation, I would recommend this establishment to everyone including those who consider themseves,"foodies."
Phenomenal service, food, ambiance!!! 10
Stars to Chef , Victoria and Ned!!! You guys are fantastic!!! THANK YOU !
Highly recommend this place! Everything was perfect, yummy from starters to desert!
Best restaurant anyone could ever choose for dinner!
Peter Kelly and Ned Kelly are incredible!!
It was great to see Peter Kelly and his brother Ned at Restaurant X, celebrating this iconic establishment's post lockdown reopening. The entire dining experience was terrific. Let's support this dedicated team
I have to this restaurant 5 times before. Since it's the first day of opening after 3 months, the dishes were not as good as before in terms of tastes and presentation. And it was pricey. Entrees average price is $39.00. So, dinner for 2 costs $140.00. The service was excellent. Our wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. The tables were placed at good distance and a plastic wall partition was placed in between tables. What I don't like is the complulsory valet service. It's another person touching your steering wheel in your car. But overall, I always liked this restaurant.
X is my favorite restaurant in the world. Chef Peter Kelly just gets better and better. The quality and mastering of each dish in perfection. The staff at X always professional yet have a knack of making you feel like family. If you have never been to this wonderful restaurant do yourself a favor try it once and you will be hooked, for those like me who love it, welcome home.
Don't recommend the brunch. Food is brought to your table, and cold by the time it makes it to you.
Dingy and dreary
I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Great bar, wonderful new ( to us) bartender, with excellent recommendations. A special of venison was excellent. Good service and great ambience.
Delicious food and wonderful service! A wonderful way to celebrate my Mom’s 99th Birthday! They really made it special!
Sunday brunch at Restaurant X & Bully Boy Bar is an experience not to be missed! The food was wonderful and the service outstanding. Come hungry!
the host made us wait to be seated for 20 minutes because they wanted to seat customers who booked through the restaurant first. we had to wait while he called no shows before he would seat us. the service was very slow we never got salad and anytime we asked for something it seemed like a bother. They seemed short staffed the manager was pitching in to help and he was the only one who was friendly. I’m not sure i would go back there for brunch.
Rib eye special
Sat by the fireplace and it had great ambiance and noise level was low. Food was great along with the desert. Waiter very attentive
My wife and I (31 and 34) have been going to restaurant X for about 8 years now and have always had a great meal and experience. The staff is always attentive and get the orders perfect. We’ve never had anything come out to us cold unless it was intended to be served that way. It’s just a very comfortable place (can’t explain it any other way). My wife an I have been to Saddle River Inn and places in Ridgewood like Roots but at the end of the meals have said that we should’ve went to Restaurant X.
We forget what a great place Restaurant X is. The food is exceptional, as is the service. The place is perfect: romantic enough for date night, but casual enough for “just going out”. We’ve never had a bad meal or a bad time at Restaurant X.
Brunch at Restaurant X is an amazing experience. We were served 18 courses (about 4 bites per course) that included pork, beef, scallops, salmon, shrimp etc. The service was excellent and they serve you unlimited sparkling wine. We’re definitely going to do this again.
Food was delicious. Salmon & cod were great. Shrimp & calamari “tempura” appetizer was very chintzy. It would have been nice to have had an amuse bouche as well as been offered another baguette.
Hostess needs to be friendlier and more welcoming. It would have been nice of her to have said goodnight to us as we were leaving the restaurant. Restaurant’s decor needs an updating. It is very dated. Wood paneling needs paint job. Glass vases holding rose need to be replaced. They are all cracked & chipped. Lighting in back dining room is awful.
X2O is so much more enjoyable.
We have been to this restaurant in the past and always had good experiences. We are also experienced foodies that know when you go out on Valentine's Day, experiences vary from a regular night out! Saying that, we selected Restaurant X with the expectations this would not be a issue! Our experience was so poor I contacted the restaurant by email the following day asking for only one thing, an explanation. Never heard back from anyone. It's bad enough our evening was ruined but to NOT respond says much about them. List of issues:. Valet backed up at least 15-20 min, wait past reservation time 45 min, Luke warn food, room very cold temp wise, 4 other tables , people wearing coats while eating (not very clean either), and there was more. Will not return and will not recommend, not based on our experience but based on lack of follow up.
Went there for Valentine's Day dinner and it was delicious.
Restaurant X has always been looked at as the premiere restaurant in the area. Over our last couple of visits the past couple years it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Can’t help but think that Peter Kelly isn’t reinvesting in his business. The place needs a good cleaning and new tables and chairs. The food was still good, but not as good as it has been in the past.
I was there on Valentine's Day. The parking situation is a disaster. Took 25 minutes from the line into the restaurant parking lot to exiting my vehicle. Waited 20 minutes beyond my reservation time. The restaurant looked tired. Food was average. Likely not to return.
Even though it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was packed, service and food were outstanding.
We loved it!!!
We go to X for the food and we were not disappointed. However, the place seems old. Our chair was broken, the corner setting was drafty, table placement was extremely tight, and the valet parking was farcical. Overall, I expected the ammenities to be better. But, the rose at t he end of dinner was a nice touch!
Valentine’s Day dinner. Everything lovely until we had to wait 30 minutes in the Valet line to retrieve our car. On a busy night like that, they need a better plan. It was quite cold out to be standing in sub freezing temperatures like that.
The Thursday night special is a great meal - well prepared and nicely presented. Great job.
Food and ambiance always wonderful. Philippe, as always, took good care of us.
