What Insiders Are Saying
Refinery Rooftop is a rooftop bar in Midtown that actually isn’t the worst. If you work in the area, it’s a good spot for drinks with coworkers.
Overall nice experience. The views were really great (Empire State Building looks amazing).
The meatballs on the starters menu is a must try- delicious flavors. The tater tots were also on point, and great for sharing.
Limited menu for Saturday dinner, but the Butcher's meatballs were to die for and the tater tots were overflowing. Ambiance is more of a bar than restaurant. Had a great meal and experience; nice view once I got up to go to the outside open area. Btw I saw a comment down below that said the restaurant does not honor Open Table reservations and that's not accurate at least for me. They honored my reservation and sat us down quickly.
We really enjoyed our drinks and guacamole in a beautiful atmosphere. I would love to sit outside the next time I’m here. Great view of the Empire State Building!!
Excelente opción para hacer un Roof top con vista al empire state. Fuimos con dos niños y nos atendieron increíble. Las mini hamburguesas deliciosas!! Hay que ir
Nice place for brunch. Food was very good. Service seated us early and was very nice. Pretty limited brunch and regular menu. I have been to both places in the lobby as well. Cute hotel with a bunch of options. Would go back pre matinee for brunch.
Relaxed. Service was great
Great food and service
Food and service were great. Loved the view.
Father Daughter night
Great food and nice atmosphere.
Great Gem around Bryant Park for lunch and cocktails!!
When we showed up, the "bouncer" at the elevator stated that Refinery Rooftop does not participate in the Open Table program. When I showed him the confirmation on my phone, he said "that is not us". Clearly, not going to get anywhere with him, we left. Refinery needs to hire better employees or train them better.
Don't make a reservation for refinery on OpenTable. They don't check it! I was put on a wait list for a table for 2. Finally, I went back to the hostess after waiting at the bar for almost one hour, and she kindly got us table. Really not okay to take reservations if you don't honor them!
Great brunch and beautiful rooftop!
Perfect spot and great server
Too crowded and the kitchen closed at 10. So no food after.
We made a reservation - had a great table and our server was terrific.
Beautiful venue!! Must go.
Very nice place for an informal business lunch. It would have been nice if we could sit outside but unfortunately that is only for 2 people or parties of 5 or more. Overall very good.
pretty restaurant, good vibe, good meal choices too.
They said they didn’t take OT reservations so we had no reservation.
Thank you to yoyo for accommodating us after an awful reservation experience. I made a reservation and the default should be to be seated in the outdoor area when available (this is a rooftop). We were seated inside (the first to be seated in this area in a long line) despite a lot of outdoor seating available. I immediately made mention to the server seating us who was directed by the hostess and I asked for a change, but was denied. I had a guest in town and would not have chosen this amazing rooftop if we were going to be seated indoors. When our server came (a very sweet young lady) she saw how disappointed I was and took my concern to management. Yoyo (sorry if I have spelled his name wrong) came by, explained the current policy for reservation and seating (which should change) and showed us options for seating. We did not mind the heat and wanted the sunshine and ended up having a great time with pictures a plenty for my friend to have.
I will certainly be back and have made so many recommendations for everyone to come by !
The biggest negative was the reservation we made on opentable never got recognized by their system. Luckily they fit us in and we had a nice lunch. The vibe of the place was great. The service was very good. The food was not that memorable. We liked the food but go for the ambiance and accept that the food will be more ordinary than amazing
Very nice location with friendly staff.
Limited food menu but food is excellent !
Hi Christian, Thanks for taking the time to share your review! We're so glad you joined us and hope to see you again sometime soon. Cheers! Kate
Many to young drunken teenies! Better controll ofthe ID‘s
Great ambiance and fun place to meet friends. I know it’s NYC, but the drink prices are very expensive ($24!!).
The food was good but small portions and pricey.
Fantastic service, atmosphere and food quality. Will return!
I love everything about this place except making a reservation. Forced to use Open Table and three times I have arrived with a confirmed reservation and found that it was not at the front desk. I was accommodated, but I don't understand the mishaps.
Hi Nancy, Thank you for letting us know! We're so glad you took the time to share your feedback and are looking forward to your next visit. In the future, please feel free to reach out to reservations@igchospitality and someone from our reservations team would be happy to make sure your reservation is locked in. Cheers! Kate
Great place for lunch or drinks when the weather is nice. Half outside and inside space. Limited menu, but hang out there for the ambiance.
This was a cool spot. I loved the decor, service was excellent. I recommend the crab dip & lamb sliders.
We were not able to be seated as the restaurant did not have our confirmed open table booking in their system.
We were staying at the hotel where this is located, complete opposite of the service we received from the hotel and the Parker Quinn. The “couch” seat we were sat at I couldn’t sit up bc it was so far from table, it was so uncomfortable. We were seated so close to the parties next to us we couldn’t even speak to each other bc we were overpowered by both parties conversations. The “waitress” didn’t really do much for us except ask us what we would like to eat and hand us our bill. She looked pretty grumpy as she stood 2 ft away from us. When we asked for a pen for our bill to write our room number she acted snarky and annoyed. The food was good and the decor was cool. If you are going I’d say eat at the bar or reserve a spot with the view of the Empire State Building or the room closer to the elevators. We had never been and didn’t know to request these spots ahead of time.
Was a very rainy day so we sat in front of the fireplace. A very exciting type of restaurant and busy yet manageable Food and service was very good and the menu offered many things.. so we all agreed we will have to come back. Very easy going waitstaff that made note of some spice allergies and served some great dishes that we all enjoyed
Lovely food. Great ambience. Amazing waitress who gave us free shiahitos for my birthday. Would go back definitely.
Awesome find, loved the fried chicken sandwich. Was a cloudy day, but still enjoyed the views and ambiance. Nice getaway from the crowded streets in the city.
the security was incredibly rude, i have never been treated that way.
Lovely glass enclosed venue with views of the empire state building. Super brunch...loved our waiter Derek😍
The food was excellent and the business lunch is priced perfectly. Soup, sandwich & a salad for $22.00. The tomato bisque soup was the best I have ever had.
The atmosphere is wonderful and a perfect place to meet for lunch.
Not all tables have good views! We were given the worst view!
Loved my brunch!!!I got the bottle of Prosecco and paired it with peach. I also got the waffle brunch and I couldn’t be more happy. Excellent service!
