Redbird - Los Angeles
Loved the tour of the space and the garden after dinner!
I dare you to find a prettier room, better food and better service all in one place.
I enjoyed my visit to Redbird. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was very good. The energy was very welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful first-time experience.
Food and service was excellent as usual. Very energetic and noisy crowd that was was louder than usual. Maybe because it was after the Women's March in Downtown LA.
This may be my new favorite LA restaurant. Everything was great. The waitress was perfect, the food was incredible, and the drinks were divine. It's not cheap, but it's well worth it for an awesome night out. We weren't rushed at all and the food came out only after we were done with the previous course. This place nails it.
Disappointing I have been wanting to try it for years. Wished I skipped it so many better places in I try downtown. Food was average.
Lovely courtyard dining space...Fantastic server, perfect ricotta blueberry pancakes/syrup, sausages, beet salad, lobster pasta and excellent coffee...The whole experience was kinda perfect and we'll be back as often as possible! Thanks!
Great food. Attentive service. Price on the higher end for food portions.
Every dish was delicious and surprising! Shishito peppers, burrata, shrimp risotto, John Dory, beignets and chai blondie! We were greeted with an amuse bouche cocktail that was refreshing! We went before a show at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. It was LA Restaurant week too. Server kept track of the timing so we could leave on time.
Fantastic service, brought us a welcome glass of rose for our anniversary and candle in our dessert. Very accommodating!
This is the second time that I have been to Redbird where some of my dinner companions were unable to eat some of their food because was too heavily salted. The wine list is fun, the space is gorgeous and the service is impeccable, but the inconsistency in the kitchen is problematic. All that said, I'm not sure if I will be returning again, particularly considering the high prices.
Too loud and the tables are too close to each other for the money they charge. The food was also good but nothing special.
Had a wonderful anniversary brunch with my wife. The food and cocktails were impeccable. The ambiance and service was amazing. This was our second time for brunch and we have been once before for dinner. We will definitely be back for both.
This is a beautiful restaurant, I didn't expect it to have a huge interior courtyard open to the sky. Really nice. The food was very good and the service was great too. I would definitely go to eat there again.
It was a cold night and the inside tables were cold and drafty. Uncomfortable. The outside tables had great heaters but also had a breeze. Inside drafts need to be fixed. Food and service were very good to excellent. Expensive.
All around amazing. Amazing food and drinks. Amazing service.
Go if the ambience and location is important, if food and bang for buck is involved, avoid ^^;;
We celebrated my 30th birthday with a group of 11. The staff was amazing, very attentive and helpful. They made sure all food came out at the same time so no one was left waiting which we were very impressed by. The food and cocktails were all delicious, and the venue itself was gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back!
We loved coming here for the first time, but of all the dining experiences we have had in LA (and there have been many) we were a little disappointed by the "special" factor of the evening. We brought our own wine and the corkage is very fair. My only gripe is our wine disappeared and we had to request it 5 times (not to be annoying, but when you are celebrating and bring a very nice $150 bottle of wine for the occasion, you would hope they'd 1. have it waiting for you at the table, and 2. at least offer to decant it... we got the bottle opened, poured and that was it. We were on our own to serve ourselves the rest of the evening.) I guess they don't want you bringing your own wine, no matter how special it may be. I even had to ask for my wine carrier back at the end of our dinner. So weird. I have brought wine with us to MANY other 5 star restaurants throughout the city, I have never ever had this treatment before.
Another gripe, we were served someone else's food. While it looked amazing, we told the server it was not ours and after it was set at our table, he picked it up and took it to another table. Now, I don't work for the I have worked in restaurants and I know, once the food is placed on the table, you do not serve it to another table. Never. Never ever. You just don't do it. So, for this reason, I'll never come back. Our waiter was really nice, offered great recommendations, however- the rest of the staff have a "More righteous than thou" air about them and I simply cannot justify spending $100+ a person on dinner and being treated this way. Save your money and go to the hundreds of other restaurants in LA that are more deserving of your patronage. Clearly RedBird isn't going to be sorry to see us take our wine and go...
Reliably good and lovely restaurant. Excellent staff.
Great location awesome venue amazing food good service what else can you ask for.
New Year’s Eve
The food was comparable to mid range wedding catering
New Years Eve dinner
I can't recommend Redbird highly enough. The service is impeccable. The wait staff is attentive to every detail, filling water glasses every time we drank, and polite to the end. The dinner never felt rushed, and was wonderfully paced. The food was scrumptious and inventive and accessible - a wonderful combination for us and our 14 year old daughter. Just being in the beautifully designed space was a treat and the whole evening felt wonderfully special. Thank you for a great kick-off meal and celebration as we head into 2020!
Beautiful restaurant with exceptional food And fascinating history. We had a great New Year’s eve dinner snd strongly recommmend!
Our waiter and sommelier were both charming and authentic. We really had a lovely time. Fabulous interior space/architecture as well. Good food. Great drinks.
Great food, great service and a beautiful location.
Food is no longer like it used to be
We ordered congee for brunch and they screwed up the order and brought us grits.
Outstanding food and excellent wine list. Order sides to share--they're as interesting as the main courses. Had the most amazing Assyrtiko white and Gevrey Chambertain Burgundy with our fish/duck. Great bar and ambiance and very warm and welcoming. A great addition to the re-emerging DTLA scene.
Very nice place to hang out in LA. However, there are some points I would like to say: the first one is that we were on time but the reservation was postponed almost 30 minutes which is an eternity if you are starving. The second one is that the tables are really close, my shoulder almost touch the shoulder of the strange person next to me, this was little awkward.
Talking about the food the tasting menu for Christmas was really good, specially the fillet. It was perfectly cooked in the right term. Probably the best fillet Ive ever tried.
Drinks were ok too but nothing spectacular.
I've never had buyers remorse after a fancy dinner before. I had high expectations given how highly rated, expensive, and special the night was. Nothing about the food or experience was worthy of the price except the service. Service was top notch. Most of the food was bland. Ambiance was basic. Bathroom smelled awful. It wasn’t a bad experience, but it was exceedingly mediocre.
