Rao's - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes; high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.

Pre Covid, this place was 5 stars all the way. Post Covid, it’s lost a lot of shine.
The hosts were rude and preoccupied ... heads buried in tablets trying to solve what? Where to seat a party of 2?
The employee mask police here are especially condescending and rude. “Leave your mask on until we bring you a beverage “.
Restroom facilities were dirty and in disrepair.
The meatballs have turned into a mushy mess, they have a totally different texture than they used to have. And mushy meatballs aren’t really my thing.
I’m definitely not going back
Very friendly staff and great food
Great classic Italian food. Highly recommend since you can’t get a reservation at any of the other locations!
Diner was amazing!!! I would highly recommend this place.
Not the same due to Covid. But all in all still nice
The food sucked. Felt like I was at Olive Garden. Was very excited to try this after not being able to get into the New York location. Service was great, food was awful.
Watched someone fall and staff did nothing. Service wasn't great and the food was not what you would expect for the price.
We were on vacation. We had many options but I’ve always wanted to try it. Service was the worst. It took 15 min for a server to even show at our table. Another 20 for drinks and still had one missing because apparently bartender dropped it. The place was pretty empty so I’m not sure what the deal was. The Olive Garden is better and cheaper.
I was a little skeptical, but the food is every bit as good as the original. This will be one of my top Vegas dining recommendations.
Service was only average! Needed to ask for silverware, bread refill, wine refill, and to go box. Food was tasty and salad was crispy. Overall, pleasant atmosphere with average music sound available! I would return. Thanks!
slow service. been here numerous times over the years and this was a disaster meal with a business client.
Nothing was memorable about the food whatsoever. The entrees we tried were lemon chicken, penne vodka (small portion and lacked flavor), and crab carbonara (surprisingly the only crab in it was 1 claw as a garnish....and nothing to crack it open with). Will not be returning to this restaurant.
Loved the outside seating . Loved the food . Loved the place!
Very Good - would definitely eat there again. Would have preferred an earlier reservation, but it was worth the wait.
The food this time was good. not outstanding as in the past, but it might be because of the
reduced menu size and other issues because of Covid-19
Great service... food was awesome!!! Was a hour late for our reservation and still got seated with in 15 minutes!!! 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Really a disappointment. Service, food, and experience was really mediocre. Not at all impressed with this place. Save your money. There are much better options in Vegas. I actually feel sorry for the Rao name.
Love the food and the service we received was exceptional.
We have eaten at RAO's many times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time around, I was disappointed. Perhaps it had more to do with the restaurant adapting its service to the Covid environment and all its attendant precautions. Here are my issues this go around: waited unusually long time to get a paper menu (to avoid scanning it to my cell phone and squinting to read it); no bread served up front; when we asked for salt and pepper, they brought out these tiny paper packets you'd get at a fast food place; when my wife asked for crushed red pepper so she could sprinkle a little on top of her half order of risotto, the server literally plopped a full teaspoonful on top of the risotto; and there was no expresso coffee available. I never like to give a negative review. This experience may have been an anomaly, so i may give them another visit to compare.
The room as very dark. The server took a very long time to bring drinks and we had to ask for bread. That being said, the god was great once it came.
Extremely over priced. Drinks were bad. A single cold roll was the bread service. Meatball had no flavor.
We went to RAOS on the first night of re opening. We were greeted by our server Nick. He was so personable and I can tell he was thrilled to be back to work. We had a order of the RAOS famous meatballs and a house salad to start. Both were delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi over angel hair pasta. It was full of garlic and so good. Chicken parm and lasagna completed our dinner order. Everything was fantastic. Lemon drop martinis were so good and tiramisu for dessert was just perfect.
Was not open. We were looking forward to the food. Very upset that you were closed and did not tell us. We drove along way to find a closed restaurant
We didn’t go. Closed because of COVID19
I was really excited to eat here because we buy Rao's products to cook at home all the time and we have heard that the restaurant in NY is impossible to get into. The service was just ok, a little slow and our entrees were all quite small and very expensive--almost 40$ for a small plate of grilled eggplant with no pasta side which seems a tad steep. For reference, I live in Chicago so I was not initially shocked by pricing but, we do have amazing Italian food everywhere so my expectations were high.
Also, we all had horrible heart burn which again, is strange considering that we eat Rao's sauce at least once per month when we make pasta at home?
It was great
The food was generally good. I had the meatball appetizer and the lemon chicken as an entree. The meatball was ok - guess I was expecting more as they really hyped up the dish. Lemon chicken was good but a little hard to eat because of the way they cut up the chicken. Wasn't easy to tell where some of the bones were because it wasn't butchered in the typical way. Was glad I tried the restaurant.
Everything was wonderful. My husband got the spaghetti and loved it, my brother in law got the rigatoni and loved it, my sister got the veal picatta and loved it, and I got a ravioli (no tomato sauce) and it was absolutely heavenly. Would definitely go back.
It was ok , not anything special , too noisy dark,
Great meal and service, lemon chicken extraordinary. Wine list nice as well.
Food is so so. Over priced, service wasn’t great. Won’t go back.
Had heard alot about RAO’s. Food was delicious. Service a little slow. Wait
Food and service very good. Only complaint is cost. I can see spending $30 for a signature dish. But I spent $15 for about 1 cup of spaghetti to accompany eggplant dinner which is insane.
Took friends there as treat and it didn’t disappoint! Fried green tomatoes caprese and meatballs for appetizers we delicious. My pasta with seafood special was wonderful and my friends thoroughly especially enjoyed linguini with clams and spaghetti bolognese. Service was outstanding and pomegranate martini fabulous. A great dining experience.
The staff was great & my wife's meal was great. Unfortunately mine was not. I ordered the special that evening which was Lobster Frutti DMar. A few hours after I became violently ill. I spent the next 36 Hours in my room trying to recover. We ended up checking out a day early & I am just starting to feel better. I did not notify the restaurant due to how I felt & all that was going on with the Coronavirus. I know it is too late to know what was in my meal that caused this but I feel the restaurant should know for the future safety of their guests. We were there on Friday 3-13-20 , 5 pm ish. We checked out at 5:59pm. Hopefully after all the pandemic is over you can see if you can figure it out. Thank you for listening.
Very loud. Dark, hard to read the menu. Food was good but not a value for the price. The service good considering our waiter had two large tables. I might eat there again.
Russ who has been my waiter several times when I have dined here is excellent. He is very pleasant. The meatballs were the best they have ever been. It was my husband first time there and he already knows what he wants to order next time we are there
Wonderful as always
Not great food, price too high, chaotic environment
