Attention to detail can be seen in this beautiful 20,000 sq. ft., restaurant where sprawling timber meets natural stonewalls, accents of glass showcase fire-and-water features in this luxe lodge. While all levels feature the same menu, the main dining room has a more sophisticated ambiance and Rafters on the second floor has a more casual lodge appeal. Descend to the lower level to find the secret passage that takes you to the wine cave, and Thirty 3, a speakeasy-style bar and lounge. Dine al fresco on our outdoor terraces offering spectacular views of the Pyramid Mountains. Most importantly, we want you to feel at home where our hospitality is second to none.
Dine here often— usually a great experience but reserved for a first date & server significantly detracted from evening’s enjoyment to a point that I would not really consider reservation again for same reason.
We had the Chop- Chop salad which seemed much smaller than past lunches at this establishment. Michelle our server was great.
We were there Sunday, December 1 for a family celebration. The main server Francis was extremely attentive and his recommendations were appreciated and spot on. The The appetizers and main course
The service could’ve been better. The waiter seemed annoyed when asked to repeat the specials. Also we ordered oysters and he could not tell me what kinds of oysters they were other than being from the east coast and west coast. When the food came everything was lukewarm. We ordered the lobster knuckles escargot style, octopus (wasn’t seared), lobster bisque and 3 different cuts of steak which were just warm. The only dish to come out hot was the short ribs. The sides ordered were asparagus and French fries with truffle oil. Both were just ok.
We loved the ambience and the look of the restaurant. The menu looked good but the food and service was disappointing.
Brought grandkids for lunch and they loved it
We made a reservation online, and when we arrived we were told we were sitting upstairs at a high top. When I respectively explained it was difficult for some people to sit at a high top, the young lady said because you made a reservation online that’s all they had! That was the most ridiculous reason we ever heard.
Certainly not ok considering the restaurant was half empty at 5:45. I asked for a manager, but a hostess miraculously took us into the library to a regular table! Buyer beware! The only saving grace was our waiter Francis! I hope they change their policy!
Place was so noisy. Hard to talk at our own table. Waitress not attentive at all. Not what we usually get there.
Always a great experience.
$8 for a bottle of water seems excessive
I apologize if I get the name wrong, I didn't hear clearly if our server's name was Ruth or Rose. She was excellent. Our drinks were never dry. Food came out in great timing. She was respectful to our conversation and the fact that we had our kids at another table.
Only negative we had was downstairs at the Speak Easy. We went for a night cap and dessert. Ended up telling the server to just forget the dessert/coffee after more than 30 minutes went by without receiving it. Long wait for drinks as well. Wasn't terribly busy.
Overall a very good experience. Service was attentive. Both steak dinners were cooked to perfection, as were the mashed potato and asparagus sides. Burrata appetizer was delicious. The lobster chunk under a crostini was tasty but a bit sparse for the price paid; lobster "chunks" were more like scraps. Drinks were fine as was the chocolate cake for dessert. Noisy and energetic atmosphere throughout the dinner and bar areas. Third time here and will still be back.
This is my go to place. Great food and drinks. Great atmosphere too. A little pricey but I just love this place!
Very good in all aspects. Started with complimentary valet service. We were seated within a few minutes of our reservation time. The place is decorated beautifully with fireplaces and lounge areas. Food was cooked perfectly and service was attentive but not overbearing. I would and will definitely be back.
My sister recommended Rails to my wife and I. Will definitely be coming back.
Always a great night at Rails. Porterhouse was delicious!
Amazing! From Pat and staff at the speakeasy to Carlos upstairs at our table- everyone was accommodating and attentive to our needs!
Jackie was our server for the evening and she was absolutely amazing. The food was worth every penny. I can’t wait to return! Ps GET THE LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE!!
Food was ok. Service was slow and lackluster
Great food and service!
Visit Rails Steakhouse a couple of times last few years but was disappointed with our last visit. Food was good and all of our entrees and sides were just lukewarm but how could four of us send everything back. On every prior visit all food was served piping hot. Service was not very good at all and would request a different server upon returning.
Amazing food and service. Always love our time there.
I’ve never had a bad experience at Rails. Highly highly recommend.
Waitress was attentive yet gave us space. Are next to fireplace. Very nice
It was my 1st time at Rails. Took my girlfriend for her birthday. The service was excellent! Drinks and food were great as well! We will definitely be going back!
This place is Fantastic. We went to celebrate a birthday. The service was pretty good. The food was excellent. A little pricey but, a great place for a special occasion. Not for everyday dining.
Had a great Birthday dinner got my Son we didn’t leave any food on the plates !!
The food was excellent as was the service. The room we were in was rather small and there were two large parties which made it noisy.
Everything was fabulous!
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Rails and it was a wonderful experience. We told them it was our anniversary when making the reservation and they remembered. It was a great dinner and a great night!
First time here, told hostess when I made reservations it was my husband’s birthday. The staff from the hostess station to the waitress needed to be retrained. Unpolished & unprofessional. We had the worst waitress we’ve ever experienced. Ordered wedge salad & short rib Mac & cheese. The wedge was average & M&C was flavorless. We were hesitant to order entrees as this point so we scaled back & ordered filet mignon, mashed potatoes & a burger. These had flavor & they did a nice job on them. Unfortunately, like I said, the staff brings this place down. We dine out several times a week so we were surprised that while they did get the ambience right some food choices need attention & they need to higher better quality staff. We will give it another try but will run if we get seated in the waitresses station again!!!
Terrific place for happy hour and social events
Birthday and anniversary
We love Rails!! Fun trendy setting that’s not your grandparents traditional stuffy steakhouse. Food is phenomenal if not expensive but the portions are huge. We had an odd experience for our anniversary dinner. Upon our arrival an hour early for our table, the hostess chose to berate me for a reservation I had previously cancelled with plenty of notice. I have no idea why she was fixating on it, I didn’t do anything wrong, and bringing it up seemed irrelevant to the reservation we arrived for. Maybe she was having a bad night. Drinks were perfect, apps fantastic, our porterhouse for 2 (requested as medium rare) was extremely rare. Brussel sprouts were eh. But best mushrooms ever! The experience/meal was not indicative of our usual experience so we will be back.
Food was good and waiters were trying to keep up with the Saturday evening rush. Our side dishes were all served cold which delayed the meal overall. Maybe you need a little more help on Saturdays to help the food get served hot.
Dinner with visiting family who are major foodies. An exceptional experience all around. The underground speakeasy is very cool. A real treat for special occasions. The only drawback...was very busy whuch made it quite noisy.
First time at Rails - It was great. Everyone was helpful and friendly
Can't say enough good things about Rails. The service was outstanding, and the food was wonderful as well. Highly recommend the Kobe meatballs as an app!
Steak was perfect and those sweet potato mash really good!!!
This was a special anniversary celebration with good friends who were visiting from out of state. Everything about the meal was fantastic. Everyone should try the carrot cake for dessert because it was beyond delicious. We liked it so much we’re going to go back next week with our family!
Great place, food and drinks. Service was great. Reservation easy to make with their on line service. Beautiful area.
