The food was outstanding and the drinks were amazing
Outstanding service throughout the night. A party of 5 and we were looking forward to our dinner so we hadn’t eaten much all day. When the bread was presented, we devoured it. Without asking we received a second bread basket. Our water glasses were never empty - someone appeared every few minutes to refill the glasses. Our waitress was patient as we dawdled over our entree....she came back every few minutes to check on us. The food was fantastic - we had the calamari and hot antipasto as appetizers and both were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and we were too full for dessert. We never felt rushed and had a great night out. Definitely will return again (and again)
It’s was an Amazing dinner food was cooked perfect. The staff was wearing masks and were very friendly and attractive. The manager was on sight and made all feel comfortable.
Everything was great and our server was a great guy.
We were looking forward to going to Ragazzi's for the first time since the pandemic. We order the stuffed artichoke as an appetizer which they forgot to bring out. They brought out the main course before the appetizer. We told that we did not want the artichoke. t My wife had asked for no grated cheese on her pasta dish main course. When it came it was filled with grated cheese. We asked the waiter to take it back which he did and they were going to make her another plate without cheese. He then brought my wife the stuffed artichoke that they had forgotten to bring to hold her until they boght her a new plate of pasta. We thought that was nice gesture until we found that they charged us for the artichoke. When we asked him why he charged us for it, he said "well you ate it, didn't you". He said it with a sarcastic laugh. We insisted that he take the price of artichoke off the check. We left Ragazzi's feeling very disappointed.
Excellent restaurant and favorite gluten free menu on Long Island. 5 stars
The waiter, Andrew was great. Very, nice, polite and attentive. I had a problem with the bus boys. I went to the restroom with desert on the table. When i returned, all of the deserts were gone. Ive never seen this before. It was if they were saying, "heres your hat. Whats your hurry?"
I normally love and recommend Ragazzi, but I was a little disappointed this time around. The food was delicious as always, but the service was not up to par.
It should be noted that I was celebrating my anniversary with my parents during this dining experience.
I made the reservation about 3 hours before our arrival, with no problem. I put a note that we had wanted outside seating. However, when we arrived, and inquired about outside, we were told that there was a very long wait for outside seating and they were going to put us on the upper level. Not a huge deal, but disappointing, as we weren't walk-ins.
When we got to the table, it was only set for two people, but we were a party of four. We were also not given paper menus, and while there was a QR code on the table - it didn't work to download the menu. One of my forks was dirty and it was never replaced either.
After waiting a while, a waiter finally came over to take our drink order and walked away. When he came back a little while later, he asked if we wanted appetizers, but we hadn't even seen the menu yet.
After we ordered, our food came in a decent amount of time, BUT the table next to us yelled out that it was their food, but it was not.
When we were done eating, they were quick to clear the table, so we asked for the check. About 10 minutes later, the waiter threw a dessert menu on the table and walked away. When he came back another 5-10 minutes later, we asked for the check again (no dessert).
Just a very disappointing experience. I understand that with COVID - things are tough. But I ate here, when it was just outdoor dining, after they were allowed to reopen and had no issues with service.
The staff and management were very friendly and service was very good. We had a lot of fun.
AWESOME..PACKED WHEN WE LEFT..DIFFICULT TO GET A RESERVATION.
Great food and service.
They took all precautions for covid and the food and service were still excellent
Great job with the tent and outdoor seating. The tables are distanced nicely apart. Great lighting and atmosphere during this difficult time. As always, the food and service were Great!!
Our first visit to Ragazzi, but not our last! Great food and wonderful service. So many choices, it was hard to pick just one, so I had the Tre combo, chicken parm, lasagna, and meatballs. My husband had the veal. Delicious! The staff was fabulous, I highly recommend and I can't wait to come back!
Good food, great service, and reasonably priced 👍
Food was very good, excellent service! Vanessa was wonderful
From start to finish everything was great. Service was really good we started with Rocco and ended with Andrew and once again the service was outstanding. From apps, bread basket to dinner no complaints. All of our food was tasty and prepared to our liking!
I love this place. I highly recommend this place. The food is great... Never had a bad meal here.
It was a last minute reservation for my birthday. Great choice!!! The food was delicious. The staff & the service was excellent!!!! I had a wonderful time celebrating.
Nice local spot food and service is consistently good owner Roger works hard to create a very enjoyable experience
Awesome service and great food as always.
Food was excellent, server was attentive
Excellent as always, was great to dine out again. Veal milanese and fusili with chicken & mushrooms were great. Staff did a great job serving and keeping tables clean, felt safe
This is one of my go to places for dinner in the area for consistently good food. This is one of the few times I’ve been here for lunch. The outside area was pretty empty so it was quiet but there were a lot of bees near our table. Which made dining outside not very nice. Also umbrellas did not provide enough shade. Our lunch salads were all very good but our waitress seemed to have forgotten about us outside. Service was slow and we waited for at least 20 mins for her to come and retrieve our check but she didn’t come out. We had to go inside the restaurant to give it to her. Overall just ok this time.
Rigazzi always delivers Great food great drinks great service and great value.
Dinner at Ragazzi was superb as usual. Roger is the best restaurateur in NY. Every time my family and I go to Ragazzi it is even better than the last time. Thanks Rog.
Outdoor patio area is beautiful. Food and service always outstanding and a great value. Love this place.
Lovely evening as usual
Between the wedding dinner that was there and prior to that another large family celebration and the added issue of the pandemic, the service was a bit slow, but totally understandable.
Our server was so sweet and apologetic that we were fine with it Food was delicious as usual and we had time to catch up with friends.
This was our first meal "out" since the COVID outbreak. We dined outdoors, party of 7. Overall, dinner was nice. The food was good, not amazing, but good. It was tasty enough that I left satiated and looked forward to having my leftovers. We did have to wait for about ten minutes before being seated, even with a reservation. It also took quite a while to get a booster seat for my son, and we had mentioned in advance that we needed one to avoid that problem. The arancini appetizer was my favorite. I was looking forward to the zucchini pizzelle, but I found them to be eggy and a little bland. I had fusilli with chicken, mushrooms, red peppers, and melted mozzarella in a garlic and oil sauce. I LOVE garlic, and that sauce definitely delivered a bug garlicky punch. I had the grilled peaches with amaretti and mascarpone for dessert, and you had to search to find the amaretti cookies. It was tasty, but not as yummy as I expected. Additionally, my five year old daughter accidentally spilled a half full glass of water, and the waitress seemed annoyed and mumbled under her breath when it happened. My daughter apologized and asked for paper towels to clean it up (mind you she is five), and she still seemed annoyed. Would I go back again? Yes, but I wouldn't jump to make a reservation there so quickly.
Before we finished we saw our server take her apron off and she didn’t say anything to us. We sat for a while waiting and wondering if someone would cone to us to wrap up our entrees and offer dessert. Finally we asked someone to come over. We weren’t even given more water. Strange service.
The food at Ragazzi never disappoints. The food is delicious and the portions are huge so there are always left overs. The prices are also very reasonable
The waitress was annoyed that we were sitting outside and that she had to walk in the light rain we were having. We ordered appetizers and then we were told we had to order our entrees as well cuz she didn’t want to walk back outside to take our orders. Extremely rude and horrible customer service. The bus boy however was excellent and very attentive, we wish that he was the waiter and we would have had a positive experience this afternoon.
Good food, good prix fix value and friendly staff.
As usual Ragazzi did not disappoint. I have never had a bad meal from here. They kept to the social distancing/mask guidelines and the manager is very present. Definitely recommend!
The food was excellent as always!
Made the reservation but was greeted by being told that the restaurant was closed due to power being out. I certainly understand not being able to operate because of a power outage but some form of communication advising me of this would have been appropriate. I have attended this restaurant on many occasions and were all good but I didn’t need to be turned away after traveling there with my family. I believe I should have been called or emailed. I don’t if this is the restaurant’s fault or open table’s fault.
This was our first time going to the restaurant. The hostess was wonderful. I felt very safe with all their precautions with covid ! The manager went around and greeted everyone . Now to the waiter - all I can say is amazing !! Everything with the meal was smooth and he was great . My husband and I had the specials. Both by recommendation. Awesome awesome awesome . We were looking for a restaurant just like this.A place we can go for
Special occasions or just a great meal with out friends . Definitely coming back !
Coming from Queens where you still can't eat indoors even though we're in phase 4 because of Emperor Cumo. It's nice to find a place to eat inside. The food, the service was exceptional. Will definitely be back.
