We love Ra! The staff and owner are always friendly and accommodating.
It was Father’s Day and my son’s birthday. It was not busy at all yet took over an hour to get our food. Have eaten here a ton pre Covid and seemed like that cut a lot of corners - roils were much smaller with one having so little Fish! We couldn’t find it , even with pulling the roll apart. Not sure if it was the server or kitchen - but was really slow as well.
Daughter’s birthday/Father’s Day
Food was pretty good, service was ok - maybe we had a new waitress or they’re still getting this COVID thing figured out. Salad was missing some of the ingredients and came out after sushi was delivered. Had to ask for silverware to eat salad - chopsticks don’t work well for large pieces of chicken that were overcooked. Never checked on to see if everything was ok. Missed opportunity to get us to order dessert. Good thing we’ve been here before and have had a better time.
I came here for Father's Day. The food was really good. We ate on the patio and there were no bugs which I was very happy about. It was an overall pleasant experience and I am happy that I found this place.
It was terrible . i had a reservation and they canselwd outside patio due to rain , bartender Christy is terrible host . She call police on my birthday party of 4 for not wearing our mask properly , it was my special day , she said we are causing a problem , which we diint we just stood. And waited for our food !!! Very very discrespectfull!!!! she need to come down and stop bosing everyone around

It took 30min to be seated. Had wait 45min to be served and brought out no plates and utensils. After waiting 15min i had to walk up to a server to ask her to get us plates and then ask for utensils. Horrible service.

Bad service. I understand we’re in a pandemic and things are crazy but it shouldn’t take 30 minutes to get a server and when we did she seemed careless and very short. Food was mediocre not worth the hype at all but I must say the chicken bao buns were phenomenal.
Waited 30 min to get seated after I said I had a reservation. Very understaffed with a full patio. Drinks arrived after our food! Not the RA experience I was used to.
Food was ordinary, perhaps Sushi was a little better. The service was bad enough we will never come back. The waitress was rude and the wait too long. We knew it had a lot of bad reviews but we gave it a try. It won’t happen again

Should really look into the hands free menu. Mention that it was our anniversary and crickets.....
The food was outstanding and this would have been a 5 star review except for the fact that the restaurant was not enforcing its own recommendation that everyone who enters should be wearing a mask. I understand that that is sometimes hard to do but for everyone's safety the rules should be enforced particularly as people are congregating at the check an area just after you enter. The staff were kind and friendly.
First time back at a restaurant since the Pandemic. Food was amazing and service was good considering all that has changed for the servers and different rules in places. We will be back
Considering covid, I understand some of the ambiance is missing. But the service was very slow to start and the outdoor tables didn't have umbrellas or protection from the sun. Sushi gets warm very quickly sitting in the sun
while understanding there is going to be a new normal in service..reservation at 1;15..arrived at 1 and was seated...at 1;40 we were able to get waters from the host and was told server would be right with us...2;05 finally our order taken...now it was a little busy but come on...we will return because its been our sushi spot for over 5 years..we could use a little better service... the last 2 visits were not great..
The food is generally good but the staff will leave a bad taste in your mouth every time. This place has the worst service out of any restaurant in the west suburbs. I have been to this place more than a dozen times mostly because it is the only thing open very late on weekends. That being said the service here is abysmal, I can understand everyone has an off night but I have never once had a good service experience at this place. One time we sat without plates for almost the entirety of the meal. Another time girl forgot part of our order. Another time dirty plates and the waitress came to our table once every hour to check in. Another time they rushed us out even though it was 30 minutes before official closing time, they started stacking chairs and getting ready to leave. They kept mentioning place was closing. After the last experience, where they kept us waiting 20 minutes despite a reservation and half the tables being empty I promised I would never return to this place again.
Advice to management: fire all the hooligans and delinquents you’ve hired and get professional staff that actually wants to be there. Train your staff on how to be service professionals.
Dishonest pricing. Prices on the check were higher for multiple items than the menu prices reflected.
Great food (love the lunch specials - quick in and out) and great service (the General Manager Frank is great and Adam is a very attentive server). We go once a week.

One of the worst fillet mignon I had every tried. Ordered medium rare get a medium well. The chicken is super dry. Only ate half and server didn’t ask or offer us we need a box. The fish does not taste fresh too. I had hamachi. The presentation was fine but taste no no.
Cannot comment on the food, since did not actually eat here. Place was closed when we arrived, no notification from this app or the restaurant about closure. Either app or restaurant need to update their hours. Also, I should not be able to make reservations that same day, if restaurant is not even open, makes this app pointless and unreliable. Not sure if this is a glitch or something that needs to be updated, willing to try again since the concept is a great idea or could just call the restaurant directly and make reservations with a live person.
Always good food and great value, my family and I enjoyed it very much.
Waited at front reception for 10 minutes+ to be acknowledged bc they were busy attempting to process a gift card. Several others with reservations stood behind us. Table service was great - she was new maybe hasn’t picked up bad habits. Overall seems poorly ran with an unimaginative menu. Main ingredient isn’t Crab but Krab a white fish substitute - sums up this phony sushi shop.

Horrible service. I had reservations for 9:15pm and we got sat down at the table at 10pm. It took them an additional 15 mins to come to the table and bring drink menu. I had to talk to the manager and complain so he could send the waitress to the table and to finally get service. That will be the Last time I go there.

Good service and food was a custom order and was very good. Appetizer suggested by server was great start.
Great experience overall. I was late but my friend arrived on time. Because it was a Monday it was slow so they seated us when I arrived. The sushi was great and I don’t just mean the rolls where they can often hide taste and smell problems (none of that noticed) but my nigiri was wonderful (presentation, taste and texture).
Our only problem was that it was training day and we were ignored by the trainer and trainee initially before the trainee finally rescued us. She had a great personality and sense of humor and but for her lack of experience there, was great.
Overall, I had a good time, great meal and I recommend Ra Sushi at Yorktown mall in Lombard.
Was hoping for better. Will try another place next time I crave sushi, etc.

They had overbooked the OpenTable reservations so we had to wait 30 mins. First time that's happened. Food was good but portions were small. Our waitress was great and attentive.
