The service at this restaurant was outstanding - the wait staff had a sense of humour and made the night very special. The ambience is brilliant, such a beautiful setting and we love the aquarium in the toilets!!! and the Zinc spots and little messages on the floor. Little touches. the food was delicious - beautifully presented and very tasty and fresh. Highly recommend.
We celebrated our anniversary at Zinc and had a great night out. Service was great and friendly staff.
As always delicious food and friendly service. One of my favourite places to dine.
Fabulous food , service, drinks.
Highly recommend Zinc!!!
A faboulous dining experience There are strains on all restaurants in Port Douglas at this time especially with staff availability but you would not be aware of it at Zinc.
The food was well prepared and presented. I thouroughly enjoyed my meal.
It was ok! Bones on the fish and service a little slow! Wasn’t the best or the worst we’ve had!
Worth the hype. Must do in PD if you have the spare cash.
As always lovely food served perfectly by excellent staff. Great atmosphere. Keep up the good work
It was great
Has four course tasting menu with wines - excellent
We were lucky to have a 4course menu with matching wines. The South Australian wines were excellent and the food was delicious. Thoroughly recommend dining here.
Overpriced food of very average quality. There are better restaurants in Port Douglas
Food was delicious! Great service. Would definitely go back again
Had high expectations and saved for our last night of holidays. Left waiting in bar for our booked table and forgotten about! Finally get our table half hour late and wait for food was long. Food really very average for prices charged. Disappointed. Particularly barramundi was overcooked and tasteless.
We love this restaurant and always visit it when in Port Douglas
We were seated in the old disco area where the background noise was far too loud.
Food was excellent, and service cheerful.
We had a most enjoyable night although I would have liked to be in the other outdoor area and not on the street.
Our main waitress was so lovely, she was most friendly and we did ask her many questions. It is so nice to hear their story. It helps make our night interesting when dining as a couple to be able to talk to other people….
We had a wonderful experience with great service friendly staff and delicious food
What a gorgeous first stop for our first night in Port Douglas. We had arrived late in Cairns and made the trip up for a 9pm sitting. Balmy evening, good wine, tender and delicious eye fillet and crunchy frites...Zinc did not disappoint!!
Delicious food and a very good wine list by the glass. Best seafood linguini I’ve had in years.
Somewhat disappointing dining experience given its reputation as one of the top rated restaurants in Port Douglas. As a group of 8 the menu was widely sampled and while most meals were quite good none were exceptional. The mackerel was a stand out failure, initially in its bland presentation as a very small portion swimming in liquid and then the flavours were equally uninspiring.
Not the fine dining experience we had hoped for as a holiday highlight.
The meals we had were absolutely delicious. Meals and wine were served promptly. Service was friendly and informative.
Wait staff run off their feet. The table next to us (4 people) very noisy. The quality of food was very good. We have been to Zinc many times in many years. Would recommend Zinc.
Great meal. Local fish was simple and cooked perfectly and my partner had comfort food ... beef bourgignone that was equally delicious with mixed steamed greens to accompany and share. Gelato to finish.
We had a great dinner and enjoyed the experience. Food was great as well as the service and the staff were very friendly.
Only issue was delay for main meals where waitress went to kitchen to speed it up.
Plus we did not like sitting in street section
Food was very good
Welcome was good
Delish....From the cob to the barramundi to the seafood linguine !
Great flavoursome dishes and attentive staff. Well worth the wait under the current circumstances.
Beautiful food and wonderful service. Will be back. Loved the aquarium in the toilets too.
Enjoyed evening. Only one request - receive 1st drink before entree.
Good food overpriced. Tiny wine list even more overpriced and i know my wines.
The food service and noise level were all above my expectations.
Other resteraunt sat Port Douglas can be over rated this is a good all round choice
Food was delicious
Service was great
Pre and after dinner drinks can be had in the side bar
After waiting at the reception desk, with at least 3 waitresses walking past, looking but without acknowledging us, we finally got seated. The menu was small and underwhelming but the food we ordered was really well cooked. Our water glasses were not refilled without asking and overall, the service was very unpolished for a restaurant that wasn’t exceptionally busy.
Always good service and great food.
Good portion sizes. Great service and helpful for recommending on pairing with wine with food.
Food was ok. Nothing exceptional. Not impressed having to pay to get veggies served with meal. Upside .. staff are great.
Oysters were very fresh and delicious. Mackerel was very good too.
Delicious meal at Zinc - the best we had while in Port Douglas by a long way so thank you!
Food was good but not exceptional. An OK experience.
