Amazing food in a beautiful setting served by Olena and Alfie who were amazing So knowledgeable with wine and food , courteous friendly and made our night Can not speak highly enough of their service
A wonderful experience with excellent service and delicious food. The waiter was extremely helpful and provided to our needs with good attention.
Excellent food, service and location. Would recommend this to anyone and all return
Great restaurant and great food really recommend this restaurant in port Douglas
Excellent food and service! We ate outside which was really nice.
Nye with my 3.5 year old .
Could ask for a better meal .
Everything was wonderful! Ordered the catch of the day and lamb loins. They were delicious! Quite a pretty place with outdoor seating. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was certainly a place that made us feel special.
Our favourite when we're in town. Outstanding food. Professional service.
We had a superb dinner at Zinc - definitely the best dining experience we had during our stay in Port Douglas. The Barramundi was outstanding and the sauce that came with it was perfect. We also had the the Lamb Gnocchi which was equally delicious. The gnocchi simply melted in your mouth! The service and ambiance were as excellent as the rest of our dining experience so we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a truly delicious dining experience in Port Douglas.
Was seated on a table sideways on pavers that sloped to the street which is pretty unusual seating for a restaurant of that quality . Food was nice.
Jonas was a very professional and kind waiter who looked after us well. The prawn linguini was scrumptious! Good wine selection and loved that there was a separate menu for vegan and veggie options.. We sat on the street, very Aromas of Noosa feeling... gorgeous. Thank you.
Will recommend to all our friends and family visiting PD.
Some of the best Gnocchi I had in my life! We had to go there twice. All entrees are highly creative and very delicious. The chocolate dessert is too die for!
We were hoping for a really nice meal to cap a fantastic week in Port Douglas but didn't live up to expectations. Food was good but not exceptional, loud kids running wild throughout the restaurant with no supervision, server mixed up our entree, then they kept our original mains warm while we ate our first course, so food wasn't fresh. $171 for two people with one drink, not good value.
The Food is good but the service is sub-par. The maitre-d disappeared and let a line of 4 couples waiting for 15 minutes even though there were plenty of tables available, We had a reservation for outdoor seating yet he sat us at a table that was on a steep slant. Seating was not comfortable due to the uneven dining surface and we eventually asked him to re-seat us on one of the many available outdoor tables.
The waitresses are really efficient and friendly and the food were good for a resort area which made up for the whole dining experience. We got the wagyu steak and lamb that were tasty. The scallop appetizer was a bit dry probably need more butter. Salad could use more mesclun cause lettuce alone is not that special. Cannoli dessert was ok.
The food was pretty good. I had Tiger Prawn Linguine which tasted good. However I thought that only 4 tiger prawns was stingy to say the least and just about complied with the Trades Descriptions Act. More prawns next time please!
Tried this place because it looked good as we walked past.
Menu was simple but varied, food was very good and not under or overdone for portion size.
Waitstaff were very attentive and knew the menu very well.
A very pleasant dining experience, will definitely be going back
Beautiful food, best oysters we had in Port Douglas!!
Great service and food
Main course, dessert and wine selection where fantastic. Unfortunately the coffee at the end was horrible, couldnt drink it. That said, it wouldnt stop me dining there again or recommending to others.
Highly recommend coming here to Zinc and enjoying a long, relaxed dinner. The food is so fresh and delicious and plenty of options. The drinks are wonderful as well (thinking Strawberry Bellini here - unusual, different and very good). Location on the corner of the main street is not an issue - well surrounded by greenery and noise levels are fine. Love the huge fish tank by the toilets. Just a really lovely place to enjoy a good meal with friends.
Great ambience, good food.
Nice place for dinner or just a cocktail.
Food was excellent, service was terrible. Forgot our drinks 3 times.
Fabulous!! Outstanding service always. We have been coming here for years and is our favourite place to dine in Port Douglas. Awesome food! We’ll back again and again.
Food excellent. Had a great night. Definitely recommend it
Great food. Friendly staff. Been there for lunch numerous times. First time for dinner. Even though school holidays, staff were mindful of seating us away from kids, as we were kid free
Entree main and dessert all beautiful. ONLY suggestion would be a little more kick to the kingfish entree. Whether it be a little more citrus or a little more ponzu, it just needed something.
Everything else (although kingfish was still delicious), was amazing.
Date night without our toddler, few drinks and a great meal. Highly recommend and will return when in port Douglas again
We found the venue and staff welcoming outlook and decor also , food was cooked and presented beautifully favours great easy to enjoy .
A very disappointing meal. Oysters were small and tired. My wife's prawn pasta main course was barely warm, the prawns were scant and overcooked and the dish was barely seasoned. My king salmon was warm but served with a large pin bone. The waitress was very professional and the only standout of the evening. To their credit they did not charge for the main courses but the overall experience would not entice us to return.
Beautiful, simple food, tasty without being too creamy or rich. Very accommodating with dietary requirements. Extremely well priced for the calibre of restaurant that it is. Highly recommend it and will definitely dine there again.
Food was excellent HOWEVER took an hour for them to serve our salad, side and mains after bread course. Everyone around us served promptly, some having arrived after us. The restaurant wasNot crowded. To their credit they comped the main courses but we left feeling like oyr pitentially lovely evening was sliwed and then rushed at the end, as searings in Australia max out at 90-120 minutes.
Delicious dinner with interesting & well presented seafood, but the highlight was the ragu with gnocchi
Such a great night! Thank you for the amazing food and impeccable service!
We don’t dine out as a family as much as we would like so it absolutely made our night!!!
Amazing food and service could not fault the team at zinc. Definitely worth a visit would go back every night if we could.
Great fine dining for special occasion, food and service was very good.
By far one of the best restaurants in Port Douglas. Everything on the menu was absolutely delicious, with great variety. The steaks are so tender and cooked perfectly to your liking. The staff are very experienced and aim to deliver an outstanding dining experience. Great indoor/outdoor ambiance and decor. A must visit if you are in Port Douglas.
Zinc is one of the locals favourites, we have been there several times with the old owners and now several times with the new
Overall the experience was very good however there were some areas which could be improved.
We were seated at the rear of the restaurant when there were plenty of spare tables in the more open front area.
I had to return my main course (lamb and gnocchi) as it was cold when served. It was as though my dish had been served first onto a cold plate and then put under lights until the other 3 dishes were ready.
Waitress had no idea how to serve wine (a backpacker who had not been trained - a pity as I am sure she would have been excellent had management spent some time with her)
Absolutely loved our time at Zinc! Exceptional food, cocktails and service. Loved the bathrooms. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Lovely place to eat, especially outdoors. The food is good, but heavy on the seafood. Vegetarian options do exist on request.
This was our last night in Port Douglas and we could not have picked a better place for dinner, everyone was so helpful, sorry we had some many questions about the wine that our wait person could not answer as new, but she checked with a colleague who was more than helpful. The meals were lovely and the pana cotta dessert was to die for, thanks so much for a great evening.
