ZIMA Russian Restaurant
Treat yourself to the best priced caviar in London alongside the favourites of Russian cuisine, welcoming atmosphere and sip on our homemade selection of infused vodka.
Zima’s seasonal menu draws inspiration in flavour and culture from our adventures and travelling across all regions of Russia.
Enjoy our signature dishes such as pirozhki (baked buns), pelmeni (dumplings) and seasonal specials alongside our selection of home infused vodka nastoikas.
In our three storey townhouse we also run our own Zima Picklery, where we ferment all our seasonal vegetables, fruit, and drinks.
A fine selection of world wines, craft beers and signature cocktails are also being poured at the restaurant and bar.
ZIMA. Escape from the ordinary!
Borscht was really good, other meals were quite mediocre. Also I don't like the music in this restaurant. Russian rock isn't suitable to the whole atmosphere.
Great service, food is excellent, nice people. Definitely best russian resto in London! Highly recommended!
Food was excellent and the waitress was very knowledgable and helpful. The atmosphere was very good.
Great place, delicious food. Lovely staff. Highly recommend. Just one thing - was a bit noisy, but that's quite normal for Saturday night I believe. Thank you Zima, will definitely come to you again!
Very expensive for what you got.felt very rushed.main course arrived before had chance to eat the starter.which was taken away .I'm sure you can find better
Great, homey food and we had the best waiter who was fun and super friendly, We went on Tuesday night, please find out who looked after us as he was honestly amazing and made the night super fun , I would love for him to get some appraisal from your side!
Visited for a birthday meal and had a wonderful time. This was our first time at this restaurant and first time sampling Russian food and drink. Tried various flavoured Vodkas, all superb, even the horseradish variety. Would definitely go back next time in London and recommend it asked.
Fantastic Russian food with great service! Great value for the price. Nastoyka was off the chain. Will definitely be coming back
Very nice place, the staff is always very welcoming. Food is nice although, even though the stuff they have is nice, I feel like the options offered are quite limited and they could have offered more. The desserts were nice but not 10/10 so that could be the area of improvement.
I was slightly disappointed with the shot set for 2 people as you could not choose flavours so one of the shots wasn't sweet at all, and if you are not into having nastoika which is very bitter, then that might be bad experience for foreigner who doesn't know what "hrenovaja" nastoika is. So in my opinion that defibitely has to be changed to free choice of flavours as we ended up enjoying only 3 our of 5 flavours. But overall I always enjoy going there.
Ambience and waiters make the experience really good
Great restaurant with a very good menu to please any palate! Very good service, friendly professional staff. We had a great dinner and loved it! The stuffed cabbage were a winner along with the fermented veggies, beef stragonoff, dumplings... yummy stuff! Highly recommend it!
Great food, great service, great ambience. Will definitely return and definitely recommend
Everything great except the unfriendly second waiter.
It was my B’day and everything was amazing. Staff was brilliant and food was lovely. It was my second time there and definitely will come back !!!
Excellent dumplings, both savoury and sweet (had the cherry dumplings for dessert, just amazing). Really recommend the gooseberry vodka too. Friendly service. Cozy and stylish 😍
We had a wonderful meal at zima, the staff were so friendly and we really enjoyed trying all the different Russian dishes and cocktails!
It’s one of my fave place!
Food was sooooo delicious, from starter to dessert.
Everything was FAB.
Cannot wait to go there next time!!
Pleasant dining experience. My Russian wife thought the Palmeni wasn't up to the standard of her own but hey ho the rest of us really enjoyed the meal. They were kind enough to remove her Palmeni off the bill. Everything else was great. Nice people, very attentive.
Service was excellent, accommodating and knowledgable with just the right amount of banter. I consider myself a pickle expert and these were some of the best I've ever had, the rest of the food flavoursome. The portions were fair, not stingy but not monstrous. The vodka range was impressive and slipped down a little too easily. The decor was tasteful not tacky and the music was background, meaning we could easily hear ourselves talk which sadly these days seems to be an exception. Highly recommend this little gem.
Had lunch with my friend. We keep coming back to this place. The food is amazing, brilliant service and good drinks.
Great food and service, definitely will come back! Prices are reasonable.
REALLY Good food, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. First time trying vegetarian pelimeni, turned out to be super lovely.
Delicious food - authentic Russian cuisine. Fish soup is perfect. Staff was very friendly and professional. Food was served very nice.
The menu needs to be more precise about what the food is. We specifically asked waiter if there are any mushrooms in chicken cutlet and he told us that there isn’t. But in fact the whole cutlet comes covered in mushroom sauce. And it’s not even the first time the mushrooms appear outta nowhere in this restaurant. To be fair, they changed the dish pretty fast no questions asked, so there’s that.
If you want classic Russian dishes with a modern twist, I absolutely recommend this place. The food is great and pricing is not as high as others.
I went to Zima for my birthday on Friday 22th with my mom and sister.
Even if I made a mistake with the booking the host was very gentle and found a table for us very quickly (we were lucky that someone left just after we arrived if not the wait was about 1 hour).
The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and the service vas very fast!
We had the Herring under a fur coat salad and the Zima platter to share then I had the Borsch Krasnodarsky with beef, my mom the Slow-cooked duck and my sister the Beef Stroganof.
Medovik and Pancakes with condensed milk for dessert.
Everything was excellent and they put a candle on the cake for me and turned the lights to sing “Happy Birthday”.
It reminded me of my childhood in Moldavia and I had an amazing evening!
I will definitely be back soon!
Wonderful food, but service is rather slow and elusive. They were out of their only draft beer and medanik (honey cake) on our visit.
Excellent food, nice beer and vodka...
The food is great especially the Borscht and the vodka! Great service from the waitresses and a lovely vibe to the whole restaurant. not too expensive like a lot of Russian restaurants tend to be!
Everything was great except that my food was sprinkled with coriander. The reason why I love Eastern European food is because they don’t use this disgusting herb in their cuisine and there shouldn’t be any risk of encountering it.
Please stick with dill or parsley to keep it amazing, don’t ruin the food with coriander.
Very quiet at lunchtime. Service was OK but ambience was totally flat. We had the set lunch which gave
an idea of Russian food, but was pretty meagre - just a board with a bowl of thin soup and two other small portions. Deserts were extra!
Food was very good, everything we have ordered was tasty and did taste really like the Russian food should. Presentation of the dishes was also nice.
I think it's a bit overpriced given quite poor interior of some corner cafe or bistro, not a restaurant. It could really do with an update, walls are very shabby and overall it has little resemblance of anything Russian.
Delicious food and great atmosphere - will definitely be back!
Lovely place, lovely food!
Very very impressed with the food, so tasty and fresh.
Great location right in the heart of Soho.
Modern Russian cuisine in a great central London location. Food is good. Service is functional and a touch slow
Zima is always great! Drinks, food, atmosphere, location - love going there!
Always a pleasure to visit Zima and bring friends to try my national cuisine.
Fodd is great, service was also good and ambient was pleasant with the just-right volume of music in the background.
