Modern Italian. Nice and cosy restaurant with great service and food!

Amazing gem of a restaurant. Will definitely be back some time soon. The cocktails were simple yet flavourful, and the dishes were delicious.

Delicious, seasonal food. Great service and more than enough food!

Restaurant doesn't open on Tuesdays so we are all perplexed as to why Open Table accepted and confirmed our booking. Fortunately Zia Rina noticed the error two days before our dinner so we were able to find an alternative. They are usually a brilliant restaurant and we were sad to not go there.

A fantastic dinner experience at Rina's on Friday night - delicious food (we had the $65 set menu), relaxed atmosphere and great service! What more could you ask for? We'll be back :)

An intimate birthday dinner with my husband, the food is beyond amazing, every dish more delicious as the next, huge amount of passion goes into the food, wine selection and cocktails, would choose to eat there every night if I could!

Amazing Cosy and intimate place

We had a wonderful degustation with a number of very unusual and tasty selections.
Used a few special byo bottles of ours and some wonderful selections of theirs.
Highly recommended if you can get in.

We loved our night at at Zia Rina's Cucina. It was our first night out at a restaurant since lockdown. We had a set menu. It was a perect amount of food and the food was utterly delicious. We drank a superb bottle of white wine. The staff were lovely and knowledgable. The atmosphere was great, buzzy without being overwhelming. All in all a perfect night out.

Zia Rina’s is now my favourite restaurant in Melbourne. The food was fantastic! Tasty, simple, fresh and just gorgeous Italian food that is sensational.

great night of genuine Italian food in a cosy environment

An absolutely outstanding night out with my family, for our first dinner together in 3 months! Outstanding service, with the staff you gave a F***! They really knew what they were talking about, and cared. It was so refreshing to see. The set menu was divine, and came out at a moderate pace, leaving us just full enough, not rolling out of our seats like some set menus you can find in Melbourne. We we most defiantly will be back! Thank you for such a welcoming and warm experience. I will also note, it wasn't rushed either which was lovely. We chatted, ate and drank over 3 hours, and had a blast!

Food and wine were lovely, our group all had something different and everyone love what they tried. We will be back again.

It’s my local favourite haunt! Always homely delicious food. Well worth a visit!

Good local restaurant with passionate and knowledgeable owners and chefs.
The wine list is small but interesting and there is the option to byo.

Waitress ordered me a bottle of wine not a glass, waiter sold us on a steak when it wasn’t really what we wanted. Waitress also coughed over me at one point. Not professional. The steak was chewy and tough. Pasta sauce for the Parpadelle was too sweet. Overall it was ok. I had been dying to try Zia Rina’s for a long time but I was underwhelmed.

Pasta entrée tasty and suitably light. I had fish as main course it was delicious, moist and flavoursome. Opted for ice cream for desert which was very ordinary should have chosen cannoli desert. Service was pleasant. Bit noisy but venue was nicely casual

It is a lovely little restaurant with simple, clean food with a touch of difference!

The chef coming out to meet our friend from his home town of Lipari was so great and we thank you for that.

Overall we will be back and I look forward to a new menu as I feel in some areas it could have some more vegetable dishes and perhaps a potato dish without being an Aussie affair!

A lovely small Italian Restaurant with excellent and attentive waiting staff. The food is delicious especially the tomato and pear salad. The wine selection was not as good as I expected so this may be the one area for improvement.

Wow. Hidden gem. We're a tough audience and the four of us believe we've found our new favorite Italian restaurant. Beautiful thoughtful menu, prepared with amazing produce and detail. Terrific sommelier and with that recommendations. Great service. We'll be back again, and again, and again.

Great authentic Italian food. Staff are very personable and great at making recommendations for a variety of dietary needs / kids etc. Table service a little slow at times when busy.

Hidden gem offering great food in warm friendly surroundings. Honest Italian dishes served perfectly. This is not your average Italian restaurant - this really is a shining star. Staff go out of their way to make your meal memorable. Our group included a nine month old baby. Without needing to be asked he was presented with his own little bowl of pasta and cheese. That’s impressive. Intend to come back often. Five well deserved stars here.

The head chef and host made an amazing effort to provide high quality service and hospitality to our group of eight as we had reserved the private area up the back.
We were treated with amazing ambience and beautiful seasonal dishes, wine, cocktails and dessert!
I honestly would highly recommend Zia Rina's Cucina to anybody that values not just high quality fresh food but a cultural passionate experience. You need not look any further for one of Melbourne's secret gems.

We selected the tasting menu and were delighted. Gorgeous fresh seasonal chef selections that were all delicious. The portions were good and we left contently stuffed!

Rina's is an intimate restaurant, with amazing Italian food! This was the first time my partner and I have been there, but will be back again and again! Great Italian wine list, and I highly recommend the stuffed peppers and chicken pate!

We had a great time here. Food is so tasty, fresh and real with fantastic wine and all served by knowledgeable and interested staff. Thankyou we’ll be back.

The food was ok as far as presentation and quantity went, but lacked flavour. One wonders if the chefs taste their food at all. The service was poor. The wine menu was provided as soon as we arrived, but it took half an hour to have the food menu presented. One can only assume they make much more profit out of the wine, rather than the food. Even after ordering the food, it took quite some time to be served. Definitely needs to improve if it wants to get its patrons returning.

Feel bad writing this but we all felt we would never go back there!!! The food, ambience, and the service was excellent but the noise level was something else!!! Restaurants are quite noisy but this was absolutely unbearable!! One of my friends said she felt she had been assaulted!! Truly I am not exaggerating!! So sorry no returns from us!!$
