Zane + Wylie's Seattle Steakhouse
We went to Zane + Wylie’s on Father’s Day to celebrate the day as well as our son’s graduation from Seattle University. We were treated like very special guests by all the staff. Our meals were outstanding with the strips and tenderloins perfectly cooked and the bread unbelievably delicious. We love your Seattle Fashioned cocktail and the good wine selection. We also sampled three of the desserts which were all excellent! Altogether a wonderful evening!
The service was outstanding. We felt so welcome. The food was excellent as well. Convenient location to the Paramount. We'll be back!
The service was outstanding and the food was very good. My steak was perfectly cooked and the meals were well priced. Will dine here again when in Seattle.
We had our prom dinner here, and although it was expensive it was really tasty too! Also everybody was nice.
Where do I begin. They spoil us! We had oysters then oysters casbarian which Nico and Kevin Davis brought us from Blueacre (the second of their restaurants across the street). A big benefit of dinning at Chefs restaurants al these years. Then perfectly prepared steak, lamb and halibut followed by a special birthday Sunday and coffee. The Cedergreen wine was a wonderful compliment with all the oysters we enjoyed. We all had a fantastic time as always Love this restaurant and the staff and food.
Superb service and the food was awesome. Will definitely return.
Wonderful food and service. Super accommodating with a larger group. Look forward to another yummy meal there in the future.
Service was absolutely excellent. It was a team effort. Sure enuf, other reviewers were right it is a bit noisy, not bad but noticable. Steaks we're we're cooked properly and no complaints.
We visited Zane + Wylie's for the first time because they were one of the many restaurants featured for Seattle Restaurant Week. I made a reservation for 6 of us for 7:30pm and was able to get seated a little earlier. The host (I think is also the manager?) was very nice and personable. When I asked for recommendations, he was super helpful when talking about the signature dishes there. The ambiance is fairly modern with a dash of cowboy. I thought it was tastefully done.
We started off with appetizers from the main menu: escargot & the carpaccio of beef. Both were delightful! The carpaccio came in a huge plate and it was gone in a matter of seconds. The escargot wasn't chewy and the pastry on top was a great touch. We ended up ordering 3 sets off the restaurant menu which pretty much meant we ordered one of everything off of it. For appetizer, we chose the salad and french onion soup. Both were alright, the highlight was the mozzerella included with the salad..YUM!
For the main course, we had ling cod, pork chop, and the wagyu steak. The pork chop was absolutely DIVINE! sooooo good. Cod and steak were ok, good but nothing that I would return multiple times for. But the pork shop though.....still dreaming of the rhubarb mustard sauce that it came with. So delicious.
For dessert, we did the blueberry lemon sorbet, upside down cake, and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was hands down my favorite and the best I've had in a REALLY long time.
Service was good. Very attentive. All in all, it was a great experience. Will definitely be returning to try their steaks and have their bread pudding again!
Not sure if it was an off night, but the service was painfully slow. We ordered bread 3 times and it finally came at the end of our entree. Drink refills weren't offered and we went for some time without water for the table. We were never informed of any delays until we spoke with the manager at the end of the meal who told us it was a slow night in the kitchen. Food was good, steak was cooked a little under, but flavors were good. It did not seem to me that the delays had to do with restaurant week, they weren't overly busy.
I have had a good experience in the bar before, would definitely give that a try again, but we felt ignored in the dining room.
I went with my friend for Seattle Restaurant Week. We were sat at a table for 2 in the bar. The bartender was very busy and service was slow (example: we’d completely finished off a martini and a glass of wine before she ever came back to take our order). My steak was cooked properly, but everything on my plate was cold by the time it arrived. Appetizers and dessert were very good. The bartender-server was friendly but needed help. We did not complain and I would go back again, however, I would not recommend sitting at a table in the bar being served by bartenders. Hopefully the food will not be cold next time. We went on a Tuesday which is not a time/day I’d expect a restaurant to be unable to handle a 2 person table.
Finally a classy steak restaurant in downtown besides the great Met Gtill. Women were actually dressed up.
The host was especially engaging, and we had two Servers! It was pretty slow as we were there early on a Sunday night. My friend had the Pork Chop which was Amazing! I had the Cod, which was pretty boring. White fish on a bed of white mashed potatoes. The Service was attentive and fun. We enjoyed ourselves!
There is something missing about the ambiance of this place. Awkward tables and seating arrangements made it uncomfortable- the food was okay not great.
For restaurant week the value was good, but I wouldn’t go back. The service was disjointed and no one seemed to have our table as part of their full rotation. Given that 20% service fee is built in, the level of service was disappointing. Nice location and setting but loud enough that I felt like I had to yell across a two person table to be heard for a normal conversation.
Came here for Seattle Restaurant Week. Great drinks, great modern, well-lit decor (Thank you for bucking the trend of lighting so low I can’t see my food or the menu). Looking forward to coming back to try this beautifully decorated place again soon.
A great night to celebrate a birthday was had here by all! The server was exceptional, and seemed to be doing hosting/serving/drink prep, without missing a beat!
Food exceeded my expectations, which are generally high. Service from the host and server was attentive but not intrusive. Space was open and inviting. A very nice dining experience. I would go again and recommend it to friends and colleagues.
For the price of the meal it was not worth the price (go to Gaucho, Jax Grill, or Met). The sides for the pork chop didn't really go with the chop. The salad was wilted and reminded me of the salads that you get at a fast food restaurant or the pack generic salad that you can purchase in a bag at a grocery store. One highlight was the service, but it took about 15 mins to get a drink order in, but after that service was good. We will not go back.
The service here is spectacular. The minute you walk in you always get greeted with a smile and friendly face. The food wasn't 100% as good as we remember, but the value, service and location make up for it. We joined 2 friends for my hubby bday and from the minute we sat down the restaurant wanted to celebrate with us- dessert would be on them. They were attentive and didn't nickle and dime us for a few extra crackers or such and that is so welcome! Overall, it is a great steak house with good prices and convenient to the theater. Highly recommend and happy to return.
We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, received wonderful service, delicious appetizers, dinner and cocktails . The Davis' restaurants always serve high quality, wonderful food and great service. The pork chop and lamb chops were beyond yummy.
One of our favorite restaurants. It is so nice to know you can rely on the consistent quality ,in all areas, of Zane + Wylie's.
We checked out the menu before arriving at the restaurant and thought it looked tasty. The starters were excellent but the steak was over priced, sides were not cooked, baked potato was served with shredded cheese on top, and the steaks were really fatty with no seasoning. It felt like we were at Outback Steakhouse. The lights were to bright and the music was a little too loud.
Super yummy food! Portions were very reasonable. Wait staff was attentive. We had reservations at 530pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was pretty empty.
The food, ambiance, and service was wonderful. From appetizers, to the entrees, to the dessert. It was unique, tasty, and presented well.
Awesome and always!
Zane + Wylie is a great restaurant. Our meals were delicious, service was excellent, we'll be back!
BTW: The cocktails were creative and extraordinary!
My wife and I had a fantastic time. Food was great, service was fantastic and we were treated like royalty.
Steak was overcooked
French fries good
Vegetables were not that good, barely cooked
The restaurant is warm and the staff friendly the minute you walk in the door. The service was exceptional as all the servers wait on all tables, we never had to wait for service. Our food was flavorful and amazing. I had the lamp chops and left wanting more. A must try Steakhouse!
Fine dining and good food quality. Overall a very nice steakhouse
Excellent food and Service! Would definitely go back again also recommend it to friends!
Food was decent. Service was slow. Three different people waited on us and at times we felt like an afterthought.
Great spot for a delicious steak
Our experience was amazing!! Antonio our server was so great and engaging!! Nico the GM was fabulous. Our food was so good and cooked to perfection. Our pre dinner drinks were some of the best I have ever had. Definitely will be going back!!
The gentleman that seated us was amazing! He took time to explain the menu and even put in a drink order for us after recommending a couple of things for us. He was extremely knowledgable and courteous. Steaks were good but not amazing considering the price.
For once, a steak house that is reasonably priced and really good!
Great food and service. A bit loud.
Worst service I’ve experienced in my entire life. Steak was terrible quality as well. Avoid this place.
We made a reservation for New Year's Eve and arrived early to have a drink in the bar. Got a table in the bar, great! Decided to eat dinner there. Very busy and lively atmosphere. Our server was the downfall. Very slow and just seemed completely uninterested in being there. The food was AMAZING though and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We shared the French dip sandwich and a tenderloin steak dinner. YUM!
We went there for New Year eve, and although it was good, I'm not sure it was quite $200+ good. Service was good, but a little loud which we will chalk up to New Year's.
