Lamb biryani and Prawn Malabar were delicious.
Service and bar staff superb.
A fabulous night as always
Very nice surroundings. Partner and I shared a trio of food for a starter. It was tasty but samosa was mainly pastry with little filling. My main dish was lamb shank. The sauce was very nice, the lamb had a slight side taste of it as if it was not quite fresh which spoilt my enjoyment of it a bit. My partner's chicken dish was very nice. Rice and naan were good but the naan was sparse. Service was adequate with side dish forgotten then delivered with no apology. Bit pricy for standard of food but location and surrounding I suppose may in part justify price.
The food was quite good but the service was perfunctory. Wish I had been told that the biryani could easily serve two people. Would have not ordered two. Delicious coconut sorbet.
Still a favorite after more than a decade. Dinner at Zaika is always a treat!
Best Indian in the city, whether for a private dinner or a business event , a quality you can rely on ( i"ve been going there for some years now).
Amazing place! Food was spot on and so was the service. Definitely recommend.
Classy Indian restaurant opposite Kensington Palace. Not exactly cheap but the food was delicious and a nice relaxed atmosphere
Just excellent food - best Indian food in London in my opinion. Also service excellent.
Great food. Outstanding service overall a fantastic dinner
Amazing food, great service and beautiful venue.
Thoroughly enjoyable early dinner before a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Great food, service and overall experience, highly recommend.
Beautiful hospitality and food and service
Lovely evening with great food
Visiting London from Canada and wanted to go to a good Indian restaurant. Loved it.
Excellente nourriture, excellent service. Le tout dans un lieu original, une ancienne banque.
Zaika was excellent. The truffle naan is to die for. Eaten here many times and will do again. It’s classy yet unpretentious and the food is just perfect.
Very Nice place, great staffs good customer services and lovely dishes! I was bit disappointed when I was placing my order according to the waitress I cannot order anything from the set menu because it’s too late for chef to prepare, how ever chef happy to take any order from the normal menu.
I couldn’t figure this out how did the work. It’s not like We just walked in, I have booked a table nice & early.
Overall I had a good night.
Best Indian food in London. Service was top notch. Stephen was our waiter and he was a true professional. Would go back again this week, but leaving town.
Perfect as always. Fine-dining to highest standard.
Outstanding restaurant...food was amazing, fantastic drinks and highly professional and attentive staff
Wow. Just wow. Not only is it absolutely beautiful, but the staff makes it feel like you’re family. The food is divine and the drinks and perfection. I’ve now made it to Zaika every time I visit London and I walk away so satisfied!! Definitely recommend it!!
Whilst we enjoyed a lovely meal and the service was extremely attentive, the food didn’t quite hit the mark and live up to our expectations based on Zaika’s reputation. We opted for the tasting menu with pairing wines. Both first and second courses were perfectly enjoyable however the first wine (a very fresh and fruity Sauvignon Blanc) didn’t wholly pair with the starter. Second course redeemed itself with a wonderful Chardonnay and fish course. Sadly the main course let Zaika down (a very tangy chicken dish, a dry lamb dish, a perfectly ‘nice’ paneer and a slushy lentil dhal served with red wine). Dessert was by far the best serving matched sadly with a sparkling muscat not too dissimilar in taste to Appletizer.
Pleased we went but it was an expensive evening with little wow factor.
This was our third visit (it’s become a birthday tradition in the few years) and we weren’t disappointed. The building is lovely and service is friendly. The food is amazing, our dinner was one of the best meals out I’ve ever had. I had scallop starter which was amazing, savoured every bite! Monkfish main which was delicious. I tried my husband’s dish of butter chicken which had a beautiful smoky flavour. Side dishes of rice and butter naan were lovely. It’s not a cheap restaurant but it was well worth it. Thank you zaika for a fabulous meal.
Indien très chic à Highstreet Kensington, avec décor colonial ravissant. Cuisine très fine, un service impeccable
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left there wasn’t anything we could have wanted more. Great service, great food, great drinks, great surroundings.
This is definitely the best Indian restaurant we have tried. The food is fresh and authentic. The service was super friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the chicken tandoori and the vegetable trio as a starter.
Outstanding food and service. Really great Indian food with lots of flavour.
Continues to be my favourite Indian Restaurant in London. All was good
This was our first visit back after enjoying a spectacular New Year' Eve set menu in 2014. We weren't disappointed. Every dish was perfection (and we tasted a lot, having ordered the tasting menu!). As with our last visit, the recommended wine pairings were perfect. A special shout out to our wonderful server Stephen - he was absolutely marvelous. His knowledge of the menu and each dish is vast, his attentiveness superb but not obtrusive, he made suggestions for perfect wine pairings, and overall was so pleasant that we would ask for him again by name to be our server! We will come back to this wonderful restaurant on each return trip to London.
Great honest food.. love the decor and the outstanding service.
i used to like it. service was terrible. tooooo much garlic in every dish, to compensate for good cooking. reception was cold and indifferent.
Unsuitable for larger companies due to too much noise.
Very nice restaurant in a beautiful historic hall. Gilt framed Indian prints and palms for decoration. Tasty food, impeccable chicken and chocolate dessert
I think it’s an expensive. But everything was brilliant
Perfect lighting, I am a mature lady, would recommend for dinner dates.
Food, ambiance, atmosphere, perfect.
Will be returning shortly 😊
Delicious! Not spicy unless you request it. Service was excellent.
We had lunch here for the second time, and on both occasions the food was excellent and the service very attentive. The space is very striking, and the scale of the dining room and the very high ceilings make for a fairly cool ambience, especially when the restaurant is not full, as was the case on Sunday lunchtime. But it made for a very pleasant and relaxing lunchtime.
One minor irritation: on both occasions we had to ask specifically for the set lunch menu - which seems a bit odd, as it was lunch time!
Beautiful old bank building and charming atmosphere. Food is excellent.
