We enjoyed our ZA ZA experience and highly recommend to anyone looking for something deliciously Middle Eastern. Each dish is stunningly presented, beautifully spiced, it's like a food bomb erupts in your mouth. We will definitely be back to make our way thru the menu.
I’m not vegetarian but the food and service were excellent. Server knowledgeable but the menu.
We had an excellent time in our first outing to Za Za Ta. The food and service were impeccable. The cocktails in particular were a highlight.
Food was absolutely delicious (that smoky eggplant!) and the ambience and room itself were beautiful. Service was confusing and unenthusiastic but everything else was perfect.
We loved all our meals and ordered most of the menu for 6 people! The only meal we didn’t love was the cauliflower but probably just personal taste preference of what it was served with :)
Couldn’t fault the meal. Absolutely delicious. Will be back!
To be honest, I’ve been wanting to go here for a while and obliviously didn’t realise it was vegetarian… But holy hell it did not disappoint. The mushroom dumplings were a must! Will happily go back and try the banquet!
Incredible experience! We started with a drink from the bar and sat in a small, intimate table at the back of the bar area. The space is incredible, with extremely beautiful decor and great vibes. Dinner was amazing. We had the "feed me" option, and asked for it to be vegan. It was absolutely more food then we could eat. Never in my life had I had vegetables done so well and creatively. My favourites were the hummus and flat breads. Will definitely come again and have already recommended to friends / family.
Wonderful experience and extremely nice staff, you could tell the skill and effort was high with each dish
Excellent venue, staff and food choice. Reasonably priced too. Will return
We chose the "feed me" option which put the food choice in the hands of the chef and it was outstanding, could not fault it. We had matching wines which were fantastic and a great value for money way to try different wines with different meals.
Restaurant seemed a little understaffed. Waiters although friendly did not explain the dishes for the “Feed Me” menu and just placed them on our table. Food was nice though could do with some varied flavours in particularly in the Feed Me menu.
Amazing vegetarian food. Perfect atmosphere for the cuisine on offer with a great selection of wines and spirits. Attentive staff with a great knowledge on the menu. A must try for Brisbane food.
The crew and the food make this place. The maitre d’ is a superstar. The food is creative but accessible. Feel so privileged to be able to dine here.
Excellent food, excellent selection of good and drinks. Service was as expected. Nothing you could fault except music just a little loud.
If your looking for a nice part of town that offers both Vegetarian and Vegan menus, go no further than ZA ZA TA. The food was different, high quality, beautifully presented and without a long wait. Well received by our party, in particular the wine list.
Za Za Ta excelled in all aspects - food, staff, drinks selection, and atmosphere.
We had a selection of dishes curated by the chef for Mother’s Day Brunch. The highlights were the shakshuka, gozleme, chili haloumi doughnuts, pumpkin dumplings, and spiced antipasti.
The staff were very attentive, warm and relaxed. Despite that there were many people on the day, they give us the feel that we were the only people in the restaurant.
If you love G&T - then this is the place to be!
The decor and atmosphere are fantastic. The place is ideal for large groups wanting to have a pleasant conversation because you can hear each other.
Fantastic meal and service. Will definitely be back!
Will definitely be going back. The food was delicious with lots of choices and a lovely venue.
An absolute delight! Most delicious Mediterranean vegetarian tastes in each bite. We shared 5 different plates and each one was sensational. Try the gin too, well paired. Decor and atmosphere wonderful and service is excellent. We will be back soon!!
The best food! Service was amazing and so cheap. 10/10
The food was just so tasty with the wine from France a brilliant combination. Our waiters Marie and Gabby made our experience so warm and friendly it was a fab night! You need to give it a go, its not to be missed!
You had me at Yemenite bread, an artwork in itself and so delicious. Phenomenal vegetarian food with a superbly fun drinks menu, too.
Can’t wait to go back. Hands down one of my favourite restaurants in Brisbane
Food was excellent. Service was quick and staff very attentive.
Gorgeous food, wine, service and atmosphere. Loved it!!
Amazing food and cocktails! Highly recommend, and no I’m not a vegetarian but still loved it
'Feed me' menu is delicious and you get so much food!
Lovely friendly staff who were extremely knowledgeable.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. Stunning good, amazing ambiance and great service. If only everywhere was this good!
Let me start by saying I am not a vegetarian: but as I was staying at the Ovolo hotel for my sixtieth birthday I thought I would try something new!!
I have had a fair bit of Lebanese/Arabic style food,I do cook some Lebanese and Moroccan style food at home on occasion, but generally with meat or chicken and fish.
"Za Za Ta" does not disappoint, in the quality of food. But for a meat eater there is only so much mushed up veg food you can take. So 4 stars for the food, but if I were a vegetarian I would probably award 5 stars as the food was very testy, and the breads served were prepared fresh and were very high standard.
The staff; as they are in the Hotel were all extremely friendly and helpful, I personally would say this would be a great place for a starter-course ,maybe in their fabulous cocktail bar ,and then move on somewhere else for a main course allowing for meat or fish.
I must say considering the current "covid" restrictions this restaurant was very ,very busy.
Incredible friendly service with great honest recommendations, and incredible food.
Food was spectacular - for both the hard core vegetarians and their friends who tend to generally eat meat. We went with the chef's choice and definitely couldn't keep up - took some left-overs home. So many amazing and interesting flavours, fabulous cocktails too.
Always a great experience to eat at zaza... thanks
One of the worst dining experiences we have had . Placed in end of otherwise empty table of 8 near the door. Politely asked to move to a smaller table but told they were fully booked yet these empty smaller tables were still empty when we left . We chose the “let us look after you option” which should be more a rly named “let us underwhelm you”
At $59 per head we expected a little more that hummus, bread, extra large bowl of potatoes accompanied by 2 mushrooms. Then an underwhelming and undercooked cauliflower. Our food arrived before our pre dinner drinks and the speed at which all the courses arrived left us with a feeling we were being rushed out the door as well as indigestion
We would never set foot in this restaurant again and have advised our friends and family to give it a miss
Very uninspiring vegan food with a large price tag 👎
Great service and beautiful food that had so much flavour! I highly recommend to try even if you’re not a vegetarian!
A delicious and very enjoyable vegetarian meal!
We would definitely go again
The food and service were exceptional. Love the vegetarian menu and the knowledge of the staff in recommending dishes. Everything we had was delicious.
My only criticism would be the wine list, specifically the sparkling/champagne and only because there wasn’t anything on there that I would typically order.
The G&T menu was a great option though and all of the cocktails looked delicious.
The food was very tasty and the restaurant was a vibe, however value for money was pretty poor. We got the ‘feed me’ which was $60ish per person and we were disappointed with the amount of food we received. Also the service was fairly average too.
Lovely service, beautiful food and great vegan menu. Service perfecto! Our waitress was awesome. Helpful, upbeat, professional, nice.
