YOI is a vibrant and upbeat Indonesian-fusion restaurant smack-bang in the middle of Melbourne CBD. Translated to mean ‘yes!’, YOI serves Indonesian fusion delicacies. We serve traditional family recipes with a twist, with imported ingredients and spices made in-house. What started as a fun humble project to create tasty salted egg yolk sauce became a turning point for the two brothers Dion and Michael. That, and a combined passion for cooking and a strong affinity for Indonesian cuisine was the recipe to YOI’s successful family venture. Come in and have a taste, we’re keen to hear what you think about our food!

    Was really good, nice food for the price and a super cute robot server. Only thing was for two ppl you only get an hour for your reservation so you feel a tad rushed.

    The food reminded me of the food I had when I lived in Indonesia and the price was really reasonable. The robot server was the cutest thing ever!!

    I would've given it more stars but there are some areas of improvement: 1. Menu is abit "crowded" viewing on a small screen such as a phone. It can be quite tedious scrolling down and then out. 2. There aren't many hot drinks options 3. The Salted Egg options are good but the salted egg tends to drown all the taste of everything 4. The Martabak i ordered last time had nuts, cheese and chocolate. Somehow the recent one i ordered required me to choose just 2 ingredients. Yah....not too happy bout that as the Martabak served here (Esp with the peanuts, cheese and choc) is one of the tastiest I've ever had.

    Came here with my students for an excursion. The crew at YOI was more than awesome. We were a little late for our transport back, so I was thinking of just packing our meals for takeaway. However, the crew at YOI was very reassuring that we could still dine in and enjoy our food, and they did. Food was out within a very brief time, and the students enjoyed their authentic Indonesian meals! I can't be more thankful for their quick and helpful manner! Will definitely be a regular for the upcoming field trips! Mantab! PS: I almost forgot to add that the foods were better than delicious. They are super yummy and tasty! So what else do you want?

    Staffs are friendly and helpful. Food are delicious. We had satay chicken lontong, nasi bungkus and gado gado and we ordered takeaways too! YOI, keep it up and we will return.

    The service was fantastic. The food was amazing, the ambience was great. The waiters were very tentative and polite. The food came quickly and was amazing! we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have recommended friends.

    Food yum, coconut drinks turned up to be a small portion in relation to the price. Please turn down the music volume as it is really disturbing the ambient and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the food.
