The food was OK, but not value for money and the service quite slow for that standard of restaurant
My wife and I love Wright Brothers but were disappointed with the Soho branch of it. The menu was limited, unlike other ones we've been to. Although we did enjoy the afternoon there, as we were with friends, we wouldn't say that it was because of the restaurant. When we next decide to go to Wright Brothers we would choose another location.
The oysters are amazing , we had the lindesfarn and the rock oysters . Superb
It was a very nice way to spend my 24th birthday. Amazing food, lovely wine, professional service. Our waitress was very polite and helped us to choose a matching wine, and it worked really well with oysters and shellfish plate. Starters and desserts were great too, I have nothing to complain! Cozy and comfortable place, nice atmosphere, definitely will be back and recommend to friends!
Superb place for seafood lovers! Food was top notch and delicious and wine was excellent too. Service was friendly snd fast.
Wonderful grilled octopus. The dessert was amazing. Great service.
Second time coming to the Wright Brothers at Soho, this time with my family visiting from Spain and could not have been any happier with my choice of restaurant.
Everything we had was delicious (especially, the Mussels) and the staff was beyond friendly.
Tasty food. Good place to go for fish and seafood. Pleasant ambiance but would've been nice to have 1 waiter rather than several different people serving us.
This was our first visit and weren’t sure what to expect but we all thought the food and service were excellent. We all had something different and each one of us enjoyed what we had. The staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Can’t wait to go again.
Another excellent meal at Wright Brothers
The food was great, as was the wine
Molly looked after us really well
A very relaxed and enjoyable lunch
This is our go-to place to eat whenever we are in London. Food is fabulous, staff are great. We have celebrated large family birthdays at Wrights and everyone has had a wonderful time. Just one small disappointment is that the amazing fish pie is no longer on the menu. Perhaps it will be back next time we visit.
Lovely little place in the heart of Soho.
Food is great and the service is excellent.
Great food service and wine as ever. Wright Brothers always reliable
Things started off OK. We were given a nice corner table for two and were promptly served drinks before placing our food order. That's about as good as it got and was downhill from there. Basically the kitchen (or the waiter) forgot to place our order. Delayed appetizers followed by main course 40 minutes later. Took just about two hours for two people to have a two course meal. As a courtesy they offered to give us complimentary dessert, which we took them up on, but I'm the end, they forgot to take the dessert off of the bill. A tragedy of errors. Oh well
It was a return visit from an excellent first visit a few weeks ago. This would have scored full marks if our choices or Starter and Main were available for both myself and my guest/host.
The time for ordering was only around 8:00pm yet there were no mussels or lemon sole (same choice for the two of us) which was very disappointing. I understand Mondays may not always be a good day for dining in seafood restaurants as under the impression that that is the day when fresh supplies might not be delivered (rightly or wrongly ?) but thought Wright Brothers would be an exception and was confirmed by Maleen, whom is outstanding from being impressively remembered me from my previous visit to her detailed knowledge of how the various dishes were prepared etc. But most of all it was her friendly, professional and efficient manner that had made some amends in an unexpectedly disappointed dining experience.
Great specials menu
Great food, good choice and service was also very good !
Excellent food , we have waited for the menu a bit long , but once we got it the service was great and the food and drinks were outstanding.
Food service upside down. Side dishes were almost desserts they arrived so late
ok Menu oysters very good,.
Would go again, but this time I would go before 6pm better value.
Wrights offers a not too busy location to have a business meeting. Not overall fussy staff leave you to enjoy your meal and discussions.
Food isn't great, oysters and drinks are good and it has a nice atmosphere inside
Food was very good, but was a bit disappointed in menu choices. Was here a few years ago when visiting London and I recall a much more varied menu /fish opinions.
Nothing about this I didn’t like. Totally taking advantage of the 3-6 offer again, great vibe and you can’t beat a simple oyster and glass of fizz!
Great food and great personalized service. Second time there, would highly recommend
Great food and top quality service. IF you like shellfish this is the place for you.
Would be great if I was given a fork,
Not the best way to cook plaice in creamy sauce
The oysters were very disappointing even at £1 each. Very small indeed. Everything else was good but it’s a very restricted menu these days and we really miss the soft shell crab.
Very disappointing. Had booked for a birthday lunch but wasn't a patch on when came previously.
This was a couple of years ago but now there is a far more limited menu and the whole ambiance had changed and whole experience was all very lacklustre.
As said very disappointing.
Wright brothers never usually disappoint, but the quality of the atlantic prawns had significantly changed upon this visit, extremely small, and full of eggs, not the usual quality, and l am a frequent visitor.
We were drawn to Wright Brothers initially for their £1 an oyster special (before 18:00), but were pleasantly surprised by the new tapas styled menu.
We availed ourselves of the oysters, and some nice wine, octopus, lamb tongues, and a lively pumpkin dish. The service was superb and friendly, and knowledgeable.
Dinner with wine, desserts and port came to approximately £50 a person, with service included.
Definitely, recommended, but plan to arrive early enough for the oysters!!
Delicious fresh seafood, interesting flavours, lovely atmosphere, excellent service - will definitely be returning
Nice place for a relaxed dinner with friends. It was pleasantly busy and had a nice vibe to it. We had the Deluxe Seafood Platter which had good seafood, but for £90 should have included more premium items like whole crab or at least half a lobster - we got lots of mussels, clams, whelks (all not very expensive), a dish of crab meat and some oysters. The quality was fine, but thought it should have been more - then again, this is Soho!
That being said, everything else was good - service was good, wine list was decent enough to find two bottles for the table, and other sharing plates were good. We had a particularly lovely grilled squid dish which had the right amount of char and a good balance of red cabbage and almonds making it interesting.
We have been here before and enjoyed a lively friends dinner for 4. It is a bit loud for a romantic dinner for 2 (perhaps downstairs could be quieter) but overall, this is a nice weekday meal amongst friends! Great place for weekend drinks and oysters though - atmotsphere would certainly work for that.
A really nice and quiet spot, the fish is really good and the sauces are super tasty. I would totally recommend this place for a nice dinner after a long day of walking around the city, the staff is really nice and the playlist is good too!
If you love seafood you will love Wright Brothers Soho, nice cosy atmosphere, service was very attentive, had the prawns and cockles to start, muscles for main and the passion fruit posset for pudding all very good quality, my son had the oysters and said they were very nice, no complaints.
Disappointing. This was one of our favorite Soho restaurants but the menu has changed with few main courses and mostly starters. It had a reduced staff for a Sunday night and the main dining room was closed. The manager was surly and I even asked the waitress if the restaurant was closing. Really a pity.
Great atmosphere, great food and wine, friendly staff. Fab
Enjoyed our dinner here, full seafood platter was an excellent mix, and the seacuterie was delicious, only a little bit disappointed with the stuffed squid, too much stuffing and not enough squid. The service was excellent, attentive and efficient. All in all, highly recommended!
Brilliant service, super fresh seafood that was delicious. Great wine list too. Thank you!
