Wooloomooloo Steakhouse (Wan Chai)
Drop by for a casual drink, a sumptuous meal in our relaxing dining room or book out the venue for an event to remember.
Rooftop lounge (for drinks only): Daily 3pm till late
With an e-mail I have informed the restaurant that we have booked the table for my wife’ s birthday ( cake requested )....they did not get this info from OpenTable !
For a steakhouse and price point, I'd expect the steak to be tastier. My medium-rare ribeye was a little overcooked. Premium paid for the venue with a view I guess.
Great night out as good friends spent a weekend in Hong Kong move from Sydney, Australia to Boston, USA.
WE have been to several steak restaurants in the HK area but so far this one is the best. The Black Angus Ribeye was perfect, the Lamb was very good but would have liked at least 3 pieces (they're small) instead of just 2.
Another outstanding meal at Wooloomooloo steakhouse
Food tasted good but presentation was lacking. The server was not hospitable and made the experience much worse. The view outside was good but it was too dim inside the restaurant. One single stall for the women’s restroom made the wait to use the restroom long.
I have dinned here on numerous occasions. This time though I felt the waiter wanted us out ASAP.
Every time I put my fork down he asked if I’d finished!
Don’t rush people this is not supposed to be a cafe
Our food was good, not great, and for the price it’s hard to see me returning. I wanted oysters but I was told they were sold out though it was 6pm. Also, my medium-rare steak was well past medium. The head waiter quickly brought me a new steak which was appreciated but under seasoned.
The service, while well-intentioned, was not polished. For example, when I ordered a martini the waitress walked away unannounced as if she needed someone’s assistance but then walked back to take my drink order again. Then I was requested by another waiter to confirm the same drink order.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience but quite pricey for an average dining experience.
How can you be in the heart of Hong Kong and only have English lenses and servers... nuts
Great meal in a classy yet relaxed restaurant. It is expensive but it felt special. The steaks were excellent and the beef wellington enormous! The staff were attentive both up in the bar and in the restaurant.
Very good service and the steaks we ordered, including our appetizers, were fantastic.
We were also happy with the selection of drinks.
A drink either before or after dinner at the rooftop-bar is highly recommended with its amazing view, great drink-menu and lots of people to hang out with!
Lovely staff and great food - finding the rooftop bar was an added bonus. Thank you so much for making our trip to Hong Kong so special
The service is great and the staff are all polite and courteous. The mimosas egg is wonderful and tasty. Coffee is fabulous and the slow cooked oyster blade steak is delicious and melts in my mouth. I wish I had more time for dessert.
Excellent food amazing view from the restaurant , staff could not be more attentive and to top it off the roof top open bar unbelievable
Good steak though a bit pricey, dining area very nice and roof top bar was fantastic.
very unfriendly, food was cold, we will not come back!
Impressed. Great steak, view and vibe. Many thanks
Amazing view over Hong kong from the rooftop bar and fine dining on 31F. I can't wait to go again.
Messy restaurant management.
Waitress took a totally wrong order.
Starter was wrong, salad was missing.
Bill was wrong, additionally charged me a glass of red wine which I had already told the waitress I didn’t order the red wine when served.
Everything was in order after re-taking my order; however I didn’t expect such level of services provided in this restaurant.
Great food, and it was so tasty and delicious. If we went again to Hongkong, we will eat
again in the Wooloomooloo Steakhouse
Would recommend to anyone my wife and I had wonderful meal and the view from the rooftop bar is awesome.
really love the outdoor dining. If you a fan of rooftop bar resto, I would like to recommend this place. Dont't forget to get the steak and wine.
The most amazing meal ive ever had. Im coming back to Hong Kong just to eat here again.
The food is below standard. I have ordered a fillet mignon medium. It turned out medium rare. I have to ask to cook it a bit more. Besides the steak is tasteless, the texture is not as tender a expected. I could have bought a much better one in City super at half the price and cook a much better steak at home. I think the overall quality has gone down. It used to be good. I don’t think I wil go again.
We have been having my family birthdays here for the last 8 years and have sadly noticed a big decline in quality over the past couple of years. The Cobb loaf has shrunk, 3 of 4 steaks weren't cooked as requested and our waitress had awful body odor. Such a shame as the location is spectacular and we will be seriously considering dining here again.
The servers weren’t very attentive to you as I kept waving my hand for some attention but was completely ignored. It came to the point that I had to walk to the entrance of the restaurant where there was a hostess there and I had to ask her for help with service since I was being ignored.
I ordered a ribeye steak to be done medium rare but it came out too cooked so I told my server about it by he did not seemed to believe me initially. He told me to cut in the middle of the steak,( which I had already done so before asking for his attention) before he was convinced it was over cooked. That was when he agreed to change my piece of steak. No compensation was done or any apology given. I wasn’t able to eat with my son as I had to wait for my 2nd steak and by the time my steak came, my son had already finished his own steak. My 2nd steak was done alright but it had a lot of tough and chewy veins. I didn’t want to ask for another chance as it was already rather late and I just wanted to finish my meal and go home. Wooloomooloo had always been a place I want to go and try but after that dining experience I don’t think I will go back a second time.
