Our bartender Diana was amazing as always. Sad to hear she is moving on but excited for her. Best wishes.
It was a cool spot to relax have a small bite and try some new whisky and wine.
This is an intimate spot, a bar and a few tables, but thanks to its attachment to a full-scale liquor store, the wine/liquor selection is extensive. The food is small plates, varied and tasty. Everything is put together by the bartender, but the relaxed atmosphere keeps everything feeling like the appropriate pace.
Entree came out cold
Ordered wines but never received
A bit of a disappointment for what we were told would be the experience
Nice for a quick bite or drink. They serve small plates and on Fridays and Saturdays have a price fix menu. Food is brought in from outside, but not bad, prices are reasonable.
Another great evening at Wine Legend Friday dinner. Food was very good. Of course any wine or liquor you could want.
This Friday was Scotch tastings. Enjoyable evening.
Love this little setting on the side of a wine store. Had a great time with some great service
A unique style of restaurant in our neighborhood. A wine store that has a bar and serves dinner on Friday nights. During the week you can get small bites. they also do wine tastings. Dinner was 3 course meal and was very good. Menu changes weekly. We will return and bring friends.
First time here but definitely will be back. Loved the ambiance. Great neighborhood place.
Service was great. 4-5 local wine choices each for white, red and rose.. we tried a beer flight too.. reasonable prices and food tasted great ! The owner, I think, served is food and wine.. he was also tryouts by out something new for the menu and had us taste it - and it was awesome !! He'd made a blue cheese filled date, wrapped in bacon - kind of like dates in a blanket !! It was so so good.. there were about 2 other couples/friends that night so it wasn't crowded at all. We had a good time ! I recommend it.
We were looking for a bite to eat & a glass of wine. I opened the OT app & saw Wine Legends was accepting reservations. We had no idea they offered wine tastings or wine pairing dinners... it was a wonderful surprise! The staff & wine vendors were so attentive, kind & knowledgable! We tasted wines from Spain, France & from every region of California while enjoying bacon-wrapped dates... Yum! We will be back! Thank you for a night we were not expecting! Just amazing!
We came to Wine Legend last Friday night with our neighbors, who had been there before for a whiskey tasting. We live locally and really wanted to have a great experience but overall, much fell short. We were seated at the corner of the bar and, since we were the only group in the restaurant (a couple was seated at a table), we expected to be well taken care of.
Yes, they have an extensive assortment of wine and spirits so that aspect of our experience was fine. As for the food, there are a number of comments that I would like to make. First, the meat platter was literally 6 slices of charcuterie. The cheese platter consisted of three very small samples of cheese (a blue, a manchego and a goat brie), a tiny dollop of jam and 4 slices of bread. At $10 per plate, we all expected a bit more. Between the four of us, we dine out almost every weekend and found these offerings to be incredibly small for the cost. Even though we were the only patrons at the bar, in order to get any service (more bread, more wine) we had to flag down the chef or the bar tender. Two of our group ordered the special (2 glasses of house wine, a salad and a choice of pasta for $25) and the salad and pastas were good, but again, nothing out of the ordinary. Two of us shared the spaghetti with crab ($16) and beet salad ($14) which were fine but not outstanding. The chef seemed totally uninterested in taking care of us, the ONLY patrons in the place, and spent a good deal of time on his phone. Did any one ask us how our meals were, how the wines were, etc? No. Nothing. We got the bill and left, feeling as if our patronage that evening had somehow been an annoyance to the staff.
It is a shame for us to have such a mediocre experience since we live in town, enjoy wine and love dining out. I asked my husband if perhaps we should give Wine Legend another try but he said no and is right; there are plenty of other establishments that would make us feel that our patronage was welcome.
If you are a drinker with taste & some cash, or just a a foodie with some cash, you should stop in here often. This chef has been around, and he's created something interesting at my new favorite strip mall. His menu features terrific small plates, and enough variety to satisfy even picky eaters.
On the spiritual side, one can get a glass (or less) from an amazing array of fine wines and harder stuff , displayed artfully all around you. This space within the larger Wine Legend store might get noisy when packed, but on our first visit, that wasn't at all a problem...
So: You should come! This is a very cool idea which, if it were ensconced at Highlawn or The Manor, would no doubt have all of you all clamoring for a rez...
