Disappointing meal. Beef was tough and sinewy. Mashed potato was floury, not creamy and buttery as stated on the menu. Gravy was the same for both meals despite being different meats. Whole meal lacked flavour. I told waiting staff that I couldn’t eat the beef and was told the chef would be told but there was no apology or reduction from the bill.
Desserts lacklustre, crepe was a leathery English pancake . Young staff friendly but food below par in all respects. First and last visit.

Me and my partner had the BEST NIGHT EVER. We stayed in room 2 it was absolutely perfect, couldn't thank the staff enough for looking after us, they were so lovely and happy to be at work considering the circumstances. The food was absolutely delicious too.

The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. The food tasted great and was good value. Some good drinks available too.

We had a nice family meal here last week. Despite the usual Covid precautions it feel as usual at it could at present.

Very responsible approach to COVID-19 as all guests had their temperature taken before entering. The food was delicious and I just wish I lived nearby as I would visit it regularly.

Amazing place to eat, our food was pretty good and the service was quite good although a little bit slow but there was a wedding party in so this would account for this.
Overall a great place to eat and enjoy.

The location was lovely. Unfortunately the food wasn't very nice. I had the fish and chips, which were overcooked and the chips were very dry. Our starter was a little better but perhaps not worth the price. The table service was very slow and we waited 20 minutes from when we first sat down until we were asked if we wanted a drink. I understand that things are currently difficult given the restrictions but at the time we arrived the restaurant had a small amount of customers, so it was unclear why there was such a delay.

We stayed here for one night and had a meal all we can say is its an absolutely fantastic place and we did not want to leave,our waiter was professional and courteous and the food was absolutely gorgeous.

Very nice meal. Nice area outside with fire pits for after dinner drinks.

So glad we stopped here on our route from Scotland to London. It happened to be a Sunday and we had an amazing Sunday roast followed by the tastiest Apple crumble. The team were all super friendly and the restaurant was dog friendly so our pup hung out with us instead of sitting in the car. Gorgeous place, very relaxing and well worth a visit

Burrata was authentic but simple with several different types of tomato on the side. Steak and chips were average, rump steak, not quite pink enough, parmesan chips tasty but heavily garlicked.

Wines by the glass were simple varietals without mention of country or region.

My wife ordered the chicken burger, asking them to hold the spicy relish. The chicken burger arrived, warm, not freshly cooked hot ahd the relish had obviously just been scraped off as there were traces of it on the chicken.
My pasta arrabiata was acceptale.
The waiter was pleasant and helpful.

Lovely venue with very good food options especially if you're vegan. Will definitely return.
